What I sometimes do is let players speak out their preferences, and then just roll from there. If created a document that allows people to fill out their preferences, you can grab it here. It's currently locked for editing, but you can make a copy on your own drive, edit it as you like, then share it with your players.
There's an instructions tab that explains the usage: every player (put the player name at the top of the column) can select for every scenario whether they
- Have already played it, or cannot play it for some other reason (by putting a '0' in the box)
- Can play the scenario (by putting a '1' in the box)
- Can play and would prefer the scenario (put a '2' in the box)
The result is a somewhat graphical overview of what people can play. I find it saves a lot of back and forth 'can you play', 'no, what about' kind of talk.
The document uses the filtering function to select certain rows. Currently, for instance, only level 1-7 scenarios and lower are selected - notice the subtle green icon next to the word 'level' in the top row. If you click it, you can select and deselect what is being shown (and this can be done for every column. Want to run only season 5? Click the icon next to the 'S' column. Only certain scenarios? Select the names you want from the filter.)

I have created the Recruitment thread for Master of the Fallen Fortress
Invites have already been sent to the top 10 players on the list, but if someone wants to join, feel free to post your alias but I will list your queue # when I update the invite status. We're still on a first come first serve basis, and I need at least four level 1 players to start.

I urgently need two players for the two-parter Bloodcove Disguise and Rescue at Azlanti Ridge. The party has started the adventure, and is about to have the first encounter - so still within reason to catch up.
I've got two spots. Since I'd like to have players up and running as quickly as possible, anyone can react (but I'll give priority to people placed higher on the waiting list)
----- Bloodcove Disguise + Rescue at Azalanti ridge
1.
2.

DFang, Stylz: did you update the list following your recruitment?

I've obtained a response from countchocula (nr 10 on the list), aerondor (nr 43), and caps(nr 48)
So I have
1. Chocula
2. Aerondor
3. caps
Which mean the table is full again.
Aerondor and Caps, could you announce yourselves [url=http://paizo.com/campaigns/PFSDMK201TheBloodcoveDisguise/discussion#14 here[/url]
Caps, even though I asked for two players, I can seat a third, so feel free to join as well.
Nice to see the tweeting is paying off :)

Looks like I have some time this week to get something going. The following players need to mark the scenarios on this list with either a 0 (Can't play) 1 (can play) (2 want to play). All the scenarios listed as 1 for the GM is what I currently have in my library. If there is enough demand for something I do not have, I may be willing to get it.
- Shiffer
- 19Seth85
- Straff
- Enchanter Tim

Enchanter Tim |

I've labeled mine. I'm open for anything I can play. I've only got a couple of level 1s available for play right now, unfortunately. Otherwise, I'd love to do something like City of Strangers of Devil we know for a mid or higher tier.
I'm also considering jumping into the GM pool with something basic like Confirmation or First Steps.

I did not notice DFangs recruitment so I am changing things up a little bit and pulling from the bottom of the list so we are no longer double recruiting. I'm keeping Enchanter Tim and I'll grab DFang since he stepped up to GM.
New list of players is
- Enchanter Tim
- DFang
- Avarus
- Skaarr
If you have not already done so please fill out the form here.

Hey guys,
My MotFF has started and here is the list from the top 20 in the queue that did not respond to my invite. Those not included have either formally declined or is a player.
Queue#
1. Schiffer
3. Straff
4. Enchanter Tim
8. Wolfwaker
11. DMRaven
12. hustonj
13. Broken Prince
18. Aruetii
I'll wait for a few days for reactions from the players who want to be excluded from being removed in Kludde's list. DM Kludde has requested non-responsive players to be removed from the queue.
@GM Kyshkumen done updating my column in your list.

I'm ready to roll. Only thing I've played is Frostfur Captives, so I'm very flexible.

I have a suggestion if we are going to have multiple GM's pulling from the list. Maybe we could put a * or other symbol next to the player name if they are being actively recruited for a game so the next GM can move down the list and grab the next available players. Of course if they decline the GM would remove the symbol and if there is no reply remove from the list. Anyway here is an update on my list.
1. Enchanter Tim (Confirmed)
2. DFang (Confirmed)
3. Avarus (PM sent)
4. Skaarr (Confirmed)
Thinking about running Ice Bound Outpost (Sorry Enchater Tim most of the players are 1-2).

All players are confirmed and the game play thread is open. Removing the following players from the list.

2. DFang
3. Avarus

Looking for 2-3 more characters playing low-level characters over here: Shades of Ice PbP Recruitment

In regards to the call for more GMs: I just got involved in PFS very recently, but I've been considering trying to take a crack at GMing (I'm really more of a GM than a player) but I really don't know the ins and outs of the PFS and I haven't found the website particularly helpful in that regard.
Is there anyone who could walk me through the process ("pretend" I'm an idiot) of what the GM is responsible for and in what order so I have an idea of what I'd be getting into and how I might go about getting started? Is this something I should even contemplate before I have more games as a player under my belt (although I've been playing Pathfinder since it came out, it's only Society that I'm unfamiliar with)? Like if you were going to run a PFS game on this site, what would be the steps you'd take (assuming you had to start over with a fresh PFS ID)?
I'd really appreciate the help, and if I got up and running I could help whittle down the waiting list a bit.

Hey Cap! Everything you need to know is in the Guide to Organized Play I'm told it's quite simple, but I haven't done it myself (too much work and money--to buy the events, not to GM online).
Hope it helps!

@CaptainMarvelous
Everything you need to know about GM-ing in general is in the guide (As Little King mentioned) in case you have questions about running pbp
Register yourself at the PFS site first
-Set up a thread; go to the online forum, somewhere at the top right there's add a new thread (give it a name, following instructions as they appear)
-Link discussion, recruitment (if you want to publicly look for players) and gameplay threads together (should be in the instructions as you set up a thread)
-Establish (and post) your own rules (for example posting rate, how you handle initiative, that you will roll trap detection rolls, sense motive checks or even saves for your players - if you'd want to do that sort of thing) so that players will know before hand what to expect
-Have your players (between 4 and 6 works best) check in with characters that are PFS legal (and check that they are)
-Start playing (it helps to have an editable map somewhere so your players can look at it and move their characters around, rolld20, ditzie or googledocs are all options for this)
At the end make sure you have the players reporting info, register an event on the paizo site and report it. And have a way to get a chronicle send out to your players (for example by email or through a link in a drop box).
There are a few scenario's downloadable for free on the paizo site - Master of the Fallen Fortress, We Be Goblins, We Be Goblins Too...any of the free RPG day modules, I think First steps part 1 as well... if you want to take a look at what a scenario looks like.
And it can't hurt to take a look at an existing pbp to see how someone else is doing it (or try one out as a player first)
If you have more (specific) questions - feel free to ask. I'm sure someone will help answer them for you.

Ok, I always said if I had some time, I would give back and GM a PFS scenario. So now I find myself with some time and it's time to make good on that.
Since this is my first scenario to run, I'd like to do The Confirmation. I'll be reaching out to the top 5 on the list to see if they'd like to join.

I have had a lot of luck with GM Endless Forms thread for high level play. He has a sign up sheet for both 5-9 and 7-11 games. There is also Broken Prince has started a recruitment thread for 3-7 recently.

DM Stylz |

Okay, so i finally found the time to get a game going.
This is for 5-08 Confirmation. Will the first 5, who would like to get in the game, with a PFS legal peep please report to the link above :)
Thank you very much.

Okay, slightly dumb newbie question...
As a GM, how do you go about creating a new game on these forums?
I'm guessing it is a little more complicated than just clicking on "create new thread" in the recruitment area - but I could be wrong.
No, it's that simple :)
You will be asked if you want to link a campaign (you do) and you add a campaign, recruitment, play tab, etc. and then like you would do otherwise as well register an event on the paizo site and start running.
