Adsal reporting for duty. Matsu Anfial ready after the confirmation!

Level 1 gunslinger looking for game to play. Don't really like dungeon crawl type scenarios though those are fine too. Putting myself on DM Feral's list as well :) Hope that's not impolite or anything.

Silver Crusade

Hello! Level 1 summoner looking for games! I have a lvl 1 monk as well. I can keep up with any pace, so please keep me in mind. =)

Dark Archive

Level two Pali. Have other characters as well. Hey Jenya and Sudara!

Silver Crusade RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16

My level 1 Tengu Swordmaster has learned much in the Library of the Lion, and is ready to take on his next mission for the Pathfinder Society. Please add me to the list for any PFS 1st-level games you're starting (not for an Adventure Path... I don't want to commit to that length of a campaign just yet).

Thanks everybody for their commitment and patience. I'm still here, just very busy running games for PbP game day. I will have openings in the near future though, and this recruitment thread is still active...

Grand Lodge

Hey, everyone. Level 1 Cleric. New to PbP, lots of tabletop experience. Eager to play PFS.

Scarab Sages

I have a newly created Pistolero (Gunslinger) that I wouldn't mind playing on PbP. I've played only table top before, but am interested in getting a jump on some new characters using PbP. Can also whip up some other chars if needed.

Scarab Sages

Hi gang! I've based this character concept around a Season 5 faction trait, and now I'm getting worried that if I don't finish at least one game with her before season 6, I'll never be able to play her in PFS! (If that's how the faction traits work?) So any openings in these last dwindling weeks will get you the eternal gratitude of an artist who will draw your character (and is not above shameless bribery).

She's not quite finalized, but she's 90% there. Come take a look. While she's an Oracle, she's a bit more offense than defense, as you'll see why. I believe she's on target to being PFS legal, though I'll double check.

Many thanks for all your help!

~Megan

Season 5 faction trait? Could you be more specific, did you get it on a chronicle for example? Things like that do not usually expire unless they state that they do.

Scarab Sages

Oh good! I don't want to derail Kludde's wonderful thread so I'll put it as succinctly as I can.

Season 5 Faction Guide to Organized Play wrote:
Osirion, Mummy-Touched: As a small child, you survived the damning curse of a mummy. You gain a +2 trait bonus on saving throws versus diseases and curses.

I think this later line might have been throwing me off:

Quote:
Any faction-specific vanities, titles, traits, prestige items, or other purchases made while the character was a member of the retired faction are retained by that character with no changes. After the faction is retired, none of these faction-specific items are available for future purchase.

I may have been confusing "retired faction," like the Lantern Lodge, with any new faction traits Season 6 might bring.

Certainly, if I'm still able to make a new season 6 character with season 5's faction traits, then there is no rush at all!

Scarab Sages

I don't think they change faction traits out with a new season.
I'm pretty sure that Osirion faction trait has been around for years. So no need to hurry because of that.

Liberty's Edge

Velinov (Level 1 Illusionist) just completed PFS Scenario 04 - The Frozen Fingers of Midnight and is available for another low level adventure.

I added some of my level 1 characters to the list again!

I won't be available during July, because I'll be on vacation and have no internet access. If a spot opens up for a game that'll run during this period, I'll pass and wait for another game to start.

This refers to the shadow lodge and the lantern lodge which were retired last year. They have no plans that I am aware of to remove any additional factions so you need not worry.

Not sure whats up atm, but ive got a Bard 4 and a Barb 4 thats open for games now..

Greetings and good fortune to you fellow pathfinder society initiates....

Sorry, I sometimes forget that not everyone speaks Gnomish. I would endeavor to interest you in the consideration of enlisting my services for any forthcoming adventuring proposals!

Figit is trying to make a good impression and trying to sound like a smart, fancy lad

Shadow Lodge

I'm interested in this, as both a player and DM.

I'm moving, and internet is cut off for a few days, so I can't add myself to the list just yet, but I have:

Cleric (8th)
Cleric (7th)
Inquisitor (4th)
Warpriest (4th)
Cavlier/Cleric (1st/1st)
Barbarian/Cleric (1st/1st)
Urban Druid (1st)
Warpriest (1st)

I'm also DMing a few games currently.
Quest for Perfect parts 2 & 3 (1st-7th)
City of Strangers part 2 (1st-5th)
Lost at Bitter End (7th-11th)

and might be able to fit in one more player in each.

Grand Lodge

I've never done a PbP, and it has been years since i've last played paper and pencil. I'd like to join a game and give this a whirl. I have hero labs (in hopes that the old crew would get back together, but alas it's hard when schedules conflict.), so I have been playing around with that. I have generated a lvl 1 Hunter, I hope that it's a legal class.

If anyone has room at a table, and doesn't mind teaching the PbP aspect I would like to join any adventure and try this out. I've bookmarked this thread, and will check back every so often, or PM me. I'm trying to get my character uploaded so to speak on to my profile (any assistance with that would be much appreciated!).

Thank you in advance,
Merc

DM Beckett, if you're willing, I have a couple lvl. 2 character's free and I'd love to join one of your games.

Beckett, as stated before i have 2 level 4's that are open to play if you need them..

Shadow Lodge

Im in the process of moving, so let me get back to everyone in a day or so.

Level 2 Gnome Paladin ... available for both Quest and City.

Shadow Lodge

Hawkeye, Werepox, and Ahnastasios, (and maybe Merc, too), how about instead of jumping int one of those, I run something else. Id rather not have more than 5 players for PbP as it tends to cause small issues in PbP.

Suggestions/requests for a scenario. I have most of them.

Dark Archive

Well, I don't really know much about what scenarios there are. I would vote for NOT current season (as I'm going to PaizoCon and that's likely what we'll be playing.)

Here is what I have played ...

Spoiler:

Pathfinder Module: We Be Goblins! (PFRPG)
#3-EX: The Cyphermage Dilemma (PFRPG)
Intro 1: First Steps—Part I: In Service to Lore (PFRPG)
Intro 2: First Steps—Part II: To Delve the Dungeon Deep (PFRPG) PDF (Retired)
#8: Slave Pits of Absalom (OGL)
#13: The Prince of Augustana (OGL)
#4–07: Severing Ties (PFRPG)
#4–19: The Night March of Kalkamedes (PFRPG)
#4–11: The Disappeared (PFRPG)
#4–18: The Veteran's Vault (PFRPG)
#4–08: The Cultist's Kiss (PFRPG)
#4–10: Feast of Sigils (PFRPG)
#4–12: The Refuge of Time (PFRPG)
#4–20: Words of the Ancients (PFRPG)
#4–26: The Waking Rune (PFRPG)
#5–01: The Glass River Rescue (PFRPG)
Pathfinder Society Special: Siege of the Diamond City (PFRPG)

How about PFS 2-01 "Before the Dawn part 1 - The Bloodcove Disguise" (1-7)?

Sounds fine to me..

DM Beckett wrote:

Mind if I join too with one of my characters?

Grand Lodge

@ DM Beckett: Sounds good to me. the scenario doesn't matter to me as I haven't played any before. just let me know when you're ready, and I'll be ready. :)

Thats fine, but Im going to cut it off there (assuming the other 4 are all in). Ive found that 6-7 players in PbPs tend to not work as well as 4-5, but its doable.

Shadow Lodge

As soon as we decide on a scenario, Ill create a thread for it.

Scarab Sages

I go wherever the research leads me. Just point me in the right direction and be sure to let me blow something up along the way!

Figit seems pretty bold for a 1st lvl character, who hasn't done any adventures yet! (Translation: any scenario is fine, he has an empty log)

Unless we play a scenario for 1st level only doesn't it matter what games YOU the player have played?

@DM Beckett if you plan to run the sequel, Before the Dawn II, after could I ask for a slot in that? I played the first but missed out on the 2nd and would like to cross it off.

Ahnastasios Silvertongue wrote:

Not sure what you mean here.

1. Figit is a new, lvl 1, character who hasn't played yet

2. I(player) didn't specifically note an adventure that I was unable to play w/o metagaming, due to having played said adventure before and remembering plots/encounters/ect.

(mainly because my last 3 yrs of pathfinder have been spent playing games created from scratch by my DM)

so.....

either way, feel free to run ANY adventure. And let's have FUN!

:)

This was something I missed on my first pass of the PFS rules too. It's not that each PFS character can't replay a scenario. It's that (with the exception of replayable level 1 scenarios only), none of your characters can have credit for the same scenario. You as a player can only play each scenario for credit once.

So for your PFS character #1, if you play Silent Tide scenario, then that scenario is unavailable for play for any of your future PFS characters. So, it's a bit of a disincentive to have tons and tons of PFS characters, since you'll just be limited the pool of scenarios each one can play.

But certain scenarios are infinitely replayable with 1st level characters, The Confirmation, First Steps, Master of the Forbidden Fortress, and I believe the first parts of Keep of the Everflame and Thornkeep modules.

In the end, that is all that matters. I'd just like to have fun, and get back into playing an RPG.

If yall are doing 1st level guys ill step aside.. Both of my open ones are 4th level.

I'm in, and I'll be bringing a lvl. 2 paladin as well.

I'd like Before the Dawn. Especially if we could follow it up with part 2.

Though, again, you CAN play it ... you just won't get any credit for any character (he will not advance.) I presume in that case death is also not permanent as it's not recorded in any way?

I think he's saying he hasn't played ANY so it's all good, but ...

I've PM'd a link out.

For the record, at present, the current rules are as follows:

Each person may receive credit for a scenario *once* as a player, and *once* as a GM (in addition to re-play credit for GM stars).

Players are allowed to replay a scenario for zero xp/prestige/gold, but *only* to make a legal table of four players (so, instead of having to run a pregen). Any resources (e.g. potions) that they expend are expended, and if they die, they are dead (well, unless they pay to be raised).

There is a big thread over on the PFS boards about this - a number of vocal people are trying to get 'unlimited' no credit replay...

Grand Lodge

If any slots are open for a 1st tier scenario, I'd love to join. :D

Who's game?

1) Broken Prince - Alchemist

3)
4)
5)

**"Familiarity with the PFS rules (I ask that you've read the guide) - but I'm explicitly newbie-friendly. I'm aiming for a posting frequency of at least once per day."

Dark Archive

Looking forward to it!

Grand Lodge

I'd be game for Veteran's Vault! I've read the PFS rules, and I'm absolutely capable of posting once per day (or more often, if needed).

I'm game for the Veteran's Vault. I have a Inquisitor 3 or a Archaeologist Bard 1.

Grand Lodge

My ninja was just accepted for another PbP, but I'd still like to join with my Pistolero. He's also a character eligible for 1st tier scenarios.
