Spend: If you want to buy anything before the scenario starts (apart from your initial 150gp if you are a new character) include it here. This will appear in the "items bought" and/or "items sold" part of the chronicle.

Try to hold off actual discussion here until we have one post per character with those details (makes life easy for me to make the chronicles for you all at the end).

I have a CORE Paladin that I would like to play in this game instead of Carini (Ny'a is in the Sovereign Court, so as there's Taldor faction content in this scenario, she'd be a more appropriate choice.) Ny'a is in the second session of Solstice Scar, which I understand is finishing up today. If you don't mind, I'm submitting her instead.

Ny'a still hasn't received her chronicle from Solstice Scar, but I know the game was reported with full xp and prestige, so there's nothing that should prevent her getting started over here.

I am rebuilding one small aspect of her character; I'm taking the Fashionable Faction trait (choosing Bluff as the class skill) in place of the Fast Talker Social trait, and moving 1 skill point from Bluff to Diplomacy. She will be purchasing a noble's outfit and some jewelry to qualify for the bonus from the Fashionable trait, but I don't expect there to be any other purchases between scenarios. If that changes, I'll let you know ASAP.

I will have her profile here updated for the changes that I described above later today or sometime tomorrow.

This is my first PbP battle, so hints if I'm doing this right are great. Normally in table top an initiative roll means battle is already guaranteed, but I'm not as sure here. Hate to waste a surprise roll...

Yup, you're doing fine. One of the major complications, in this case, is that you're adventuring with a paladin who isn't just going to attack people just because they're hiding. She needs to know that she's threatened before attacking (even though, as players, it's pretty obvious we're going to fight them). Around a table, that whole process might go quicker, but here in PbP, the RP back-and-forth to establish that can take a little longer.

And, hey, maybe we'll find out that they're just innocent fisherman who got scared of this heavily-armed party and hid in the reeds.

No worries, and you even got your image onto the map. Well done.

I'm really sorry but I really am not receiving any updates for this thread. Hmm..I posted just to keep up with the pacing. Apologies for the late posts.

Wow! An opponent with an AC of over 20. I think that's a bit too much for tier 1-2. I wonder how we'll get out of this one. =)

High AC is a problem for low level. PF doesn't always get it right/. I'm running a high level early scenario and the AC of many of the monsters is in the same sort of range. Far too easy for them.

This is a heads-up that I am starting a new job on Monday. Until I have a handle on the culture and internet policies there, I won't be doing any posting from work; this will likely result in a slightly slower posting rate from me. I will do my best to keep things going, but don't hesitate to bot me if I am holding things up.

I seriously thought of using drench to douse him in water. But I figured that might take this adventure off the rails a bit.

Just a hint, pulling out some of those diplomacy checks on Lander may make your trip more pleasant, even if he is a right pain.

I'm loving how you guys are treating him by the way, but it might not be in your long term interests. If you want to keep up the RP in that style that is more than fine, but remember he is the son of the local lord (well, lady).

Traveling for work this week, so won't be able to log in much until Saturday. I'll check in once a day, though.

@Theld I thought that torturer was not a PFS legal profession, but I've been hunting round and can't find an authoritative source for that.

Correct, Ny'a doesn't have a Day Job. Iomedae is her day job! (Until she can get the Farmstead vanity, that is....)

Also, Profession (torturer) is illegal for Society play. It was FAQ'd.

I was checking the campaign clarifications rather than the FAQ.

So the good news - you have finished.

The bad news (and one of the reasons that I have kind of automated your finish) is that you didn't get the secondary condition.

While you (at least some of you) have clear suspicions about the bandits, you missed a couple of opportunities to get evidence (primarily through unfortunate rolls).

Good game, everyone! It was only my second game of PbP and PFS...really enjoying it.

I asked a question in gameplay about the prestige points but this explained it.

Taking 10 is good. Also, my starting gp is at 0. Thanks for running this GM.

No worries about vanishing, this is a crazy time of the year, and one of the reasons I opted for a slightly hurried end.

I too enjoyed Lander. It's not often I get to heap that much abuse on characters without a two handed sword involved.

Thanks very much for playing all, this run went a bit quicker than expected in the end, in spite of some poor rolling. I'll probably mark the game inactive after Christmas, or earlier if everyone confirms their chronicles are okay.

Oh, I forgot one thing. Travail freed the prisoners in order to meet a faction goal for Silver Crusades. Do I need you to confirm that somehow?

I can add it to your chronicle if you want. But generally folk do Faction Journal Cards on the honor basis. I generally write down the scenario or chronicle number next to the tick box to help me remember when I do those, but it really is optional.

One last question: how does it work when you get a magic item for a chronicle that isn't listed in core? For example, if somewhere down the line I decided to buy the Aldori dueling sword, can you take an exotic weapon feat to use it? Can you upgrade it, or is it always stuck being a +1?

I don't think it matters but I just noticed that this was my 6th chronicle, not my 5th. Can I just scratch off 5 and replace it with 6? I have the other sheets (paper).

@zoot, sure you can change the chronicle #. Were the xp and fame okay?

@Travail, if the item appears on the chronicle sheet you can purchase it. I don't see an issue with doing upgrades once you have the weapon - but I don't think I've seen it written in black and white that you can either. The core rules limit sources, so once you have the item, I would think the normal PFS upgrade rules should apply.

Any special Aldori only feats you would not be able to take, but weapon proficiency is a Core fear, as is weapon focus, so they would be okay.

I've not heard anything for a couple of days, always a bit risky closing a game down over a holiday weekend, but I think everyone is complete.
