(PFS 09-08) GM Dinketry and the Birthright Betrayed #1 (Inactive)

Game Master dinketry

Hello everyone! I've been inspired by some of our forward-thinking GMs who are running Scarab Sage sessions in preparation for the appearance of the Concordance Faction later this year. I like prepping for what's to come, so I'm going to let you warm your bones with some Taldan political steam in preparation for the War for the Crown AP (expected in February).

This will be an intrigue-heavy, roleplaying-intensive scenario. Your axe-potato Kellid barbarian who speaks not a word of Taldane will likely find this adventure doesn't whet their blade. You're also going to be working in an urban environment, so your grippli druid with the axe beak mount and the deinoychus animal companion is going to be similarly-stymied. Choose your submitted character wisely. This scenario has Sovereign Court faction implications, but please don't limit yourself based purely on that.

How am I going to Recruit? I'm going to let you wow me with your one-line submission. If you've got more than one interested character, then give me more than one submission. Consider me to have a short-attention span; I'm not going to read more than 2-3 lines of your post (meant with love and --- oh, look! A bird!)

Is this Core or Standard? It could be either, depending on what people feel like.

Is this subtler 1-2 or subtler 4-5? Yes. See above.

What do I want in PbP gamers? I want the same that every PbP GMs want: absolute deification. Barring that, I want consistent and polite posters (1x/day at the least) who let me know when I need to GM-Bot them (ahead of time) and who portray their fleshed-out character with humour and soul (and humour).

When is the deadline for submission? The deadline for submission will be when I feel that I've got 5-6 suitable gamers, but I could be goaded into starting up the game as early as January 5th if people are piranha-esque in snapping up the spots.

I'm completely new to this. Can I join? I'm relatively new to all this as well! Well, parts of me are. I mean, parts of this. YES! Don't let my sarcasm scare you away; my doors are wide open to any and all. If you need assistance with PbP (play-by-post) PFS (Pathfinder Society) posting, might I suggest GM Tyrannius' sage words?

Giovanni Stellaluce is the perfect fit for this game. Dashing, eloquent, and generally knowledgeable about most things. Giovanni has special interest in Linguistics, and well, forgery.

Prefer Classic and Tier 1-2 as he is 2.1

I have the perfect Taldian snobby Cleric for this...But, alas :( He's playing The cost of Enlightenment right now...

Dwarven Diplomacy is actually the best. Wis for Diplomacy and +2 for stoic Negotiator? Can get some nice bonuses there.

Daughter of Westcrown's mayor and next to kin of the Baron Dioneo II Starnon, Segray is a sorcerer always ready to charm her way through life.

She's level 3 standard.

The only thing Ridley loves more than prostrating himself before benevolent god-DMs is blowing the everloving beejeesus out of the monsters aforementioned DM puts in his way. Probably not until after he's told the entirenparty everything He knows about it first though. Which might take most of the combat. He knows a lot. He is a level 2 alchemist.

She's a Gray Maiden (Masked Maiden Vigilante) with Dissociative Identity Disorder. Built more for combat but every party needs a warrior. She's a font of RP potential though! Here is her Social Identity.

She is, however, fresh at 0XP.

There's a soft whoosh as Badriyah stumbles in coughing and spitting dust. Large volumes of sand slowly pour from her robes filling the space at her feet. Looking slightly bewildered, she turns and asks, "Is this the Grand Enchanter Hotel at Riverfront Springs?"

A level one Alchemist with a leaning toward Diplomacy and Bluffing

Lady Finley grippli gunslinger at your service. She was brought to Taldor as a youngling and raised there as a pet of a noble.

Low Tier please

A lithe female figure walks into the scene. She wears black corset laced tight over a floor length dress, which has a slit in it that goes strait to her hip, exposing her left leg in entirety. No weapons can be seen on her. However, that may be her intent.

Her eyes scans the crowd, looking for anyone she may know. Alas, she does not not. She moves to the corner silently, hoping to be chosen for this mission.

After gaining much honor while extinguishing a demon cult in Ravensmoor, Kita took a slow ride (and short boat ride) back to Absalom awaiting word of his next mission.

"Okane, I am feeling better and better about Daimyo Po's decision to send us to this strange land. Defeating demons and evil spellcasters, rescuing fair maidens, these are the heroic acts that we are destined for"

Level 3.0 Samurai (who does not shy from Diplomacy) could play in either tier, I suppose.

Kronug kneels, one hard shielding his eyes from the sun his feather wing tattoos clearly visible on both sides of his head.

Pirate Rob here. Kronug is a level 3 Kellid priest of Erastil. While more suited to a wilderness environment nothing would prevent Kronug from getting along in urban Taldor.

Also, I have previously GMed this adventure. If that's at all an issue I'm happy to step aside

"I am Viscount Mercutio Byron Menschjaeger - yes, yes, that House Menschjaeger, but enough about them - and I understand you're planning a little...soiree? I'm just a bit preoccupied at the moment, but the page should be turning imminently, and once they do, I eagerly hope you can count me in! I know it's not easy having a good time, but I can help with that!"

Mercutio is a level 3 Skald Dark Lord, a dashing nobleman who is mad, bad, and dangerous to know, with a powerful personality that will turn heads in any royal court, and an infectious joie de vivre that can turn any battle into a dark bacchanalia!

A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES!

A dark cherry colored Kitsune Sorcerer, Benji composes himself with poise and calm. Unlike most of his other mischievous kin, who most likely would have played some disastrous prank by now resulting in his untimely demise.

Benji is fresh out the gate and with 0xp. Poised to be a Nine tailed fox by level 9 (All 8 feats and all!) Benji went from a idle hobby to easily my favorite build I've thus far made. Hope to see him in action. Happy hunting everyone!

A noble soul from the Dragon Empires left with no lord after the events of Jade Regent, Hanzi is one of a handful of Ronin who serve the Society heart and soul as a questing member of the Lantern lodge. He sees it as his duty in life to escort and protect the scholars and courtiers as they go about their business. Likes museums.

Nagaji Samurai, level 2

The large Nagaji steps into and loudly clears his throat. His hand leaves the hilt of his blade and takes the samisen off his back...

"Sssulmoro, Charming Sssaint of Sssword. This blade wins over the pockets and trust of lords when my reputation does not." he sings while interjecting intense strums on his instrument.

Order of the Cockatrice Samurai confident in his abilities. Would rather win people over...because they can't shower him with praise and gold if they are dead.

An extremely well dressed elf looks bemused at, what he views as, the assortment of oafish characters about while gracefully sipping a fine chellish wine. They'll never understand the intricacies of this world.

For submission lvl 5 Dream Psychic with a focus on...influencing others. No tier preference.

"Look, I'm sure all these exotic fellows are bloody nice chaps and all, but I think you need a good solid foundation to the team, what? Chap with a bit of experience, and with the right cut of the jib. Plays a straight bat, and isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with a fellow and show him what's what."

A tall Taldan man in heavy armour with air of nobility about him. Bears a shield with an elaborate crest, and keeps his mustache immaculately trimmed and waxed.

I will say, you should take Remmy. I just finished playing Hall of the Flesh Eaters with him, and Remmy was great fun. He slices. He dices. He can even julienne fries. I'd best describe him as a rat tornado and mathematical savant.
