Mr DrGabe dude sir and all y'all miscreants, I'd like to propose an adventure. Something a bit crazy, something a bit death defying.......
I know it's long, I know its suicide for the unprepared and I know many of you are questioning the idea for different reasons BUT I think this crew could, nay, would enjoy the insanity.
If the link above doesn't peak your interest maybe my friend Mr Timebomb can:Orcus can't dance

link to Rappan Athuk just takes me to the empty campaign page for this game.

![]() |

Link works now. Are you sure it's legal for pfs play? And that's a huge chunk of cash to ask our GM to put out for a game.. other than that, I have no opinion pro or con, since I know nothing about the module.

I’m sorry, ‘Wood. Rappan Athuk is a step too far for me. It’s not sanctioned for PFS play.
You might enjoy The Elven Entanglement though. ;)
Lore are you still Level 3? How many XP did you earn for Thornkeep?
I did some research on Sanctioned Modules for PFS, but it’s kinda moot if you’re Level 4. :)
Another possibility is the ‘new format’ module Dragon’s Demand which has a 1-3 section.
There are two modes for this:
1. Normal PFS mode – where you play PART B ONLY a ‘fairly small’ part of the module for 3 XP, 4PP with our own PCs as they currently stand.
2. Campaign Mode – where you play PARTS A and B for 3 XP, 4PP which can be applied to an existing 1-3 PFS PC, but the GM can introduce any of his own house rules, just like a home game.
Not sure how I feel about this. I like playing Eadie as well, Eadie … with all of the associated PFS risks and reward.
This module is designed for 4 PC’s not 6. Ru, Lore and Grim are almost Level 4. After Prince of Augustana, I’m not sure if this will be sufficiently challenging and provide sufficient reward.
Just my 2 cp.
My vote is still for …
Season 3: God’s Market Gamble, (if everyone can play it) or
Season 5: Library of the Lion.
But I’m open to other suggestions.

After this mod, Lore has 10 xp, so still lvl 3

![]() |

I think I'm 4th lvl then... I was adding her xp wrong I guess... Eadie tells me I'm 4th lvl now... and probably should have been in this last module too since she has 9 xp. Somehow I thought she just got to 3rd lvl... I'm so confused, lol... Anyway, I hope being 4th lvl doesn't affect me being able to continue to adventure with you all.

I’ve been thinking some more about our APL … and also about a Level 1 playing sub-tier 4-5 in a Season 3 or 5 scenario, like God's Market Gamble or Library of the Lion.
Lore 4, Grim 3 or 4, Ruprecht 3, Lhug 2, Eadie 2, Fleetwood 1 => APL=2.66 or 2.5
Lore 4, Grim 3 or 4, Ruprecht 3, Lhug 5, Eadie 2, Fleetwood 1 => APL =3.2 or 3
Any of these situations puts us in subtier 4-5 for a Season 3 or Season 5 scenario.
However it also puts us in subtier 3-4 of a Season 1 or 2: 1-7 scenario.
Now I know DrGabe said he’d prefer Season 4 or 5, but I thought I’d investigate this option.
I would still say, there remains a significant risk for Fleetwood, but it is slightly less risk than a Season 3 or 5.
OK, if you buy what I’m saying, what are the Season 2: 1-7 (subtier 3-4) options for play?
2-01 Bloodcove Disguise – I think Ruprecht has played it.
2-02 Rescue at Azlant Bridge – I think Ruprecht has played it.
2-21 Dalsine Affair - I think Ruprecht has played it.
2-23 Shadow’s Last Stand I – I think Grim has played it.
2-24 Shadow’s Last Stand II – I’ve played it.
OK, what about Season 1: 1-7 (subtier 3-4) options for play? Let’s cut to the chase …
#30 Devil You Know Part 2: Cassomir’s Locker
#49 Among the Dead
#51 City of Strangers Part 1
Do any of these sound OK?

all 3 sound fine to me

![]() |

I am scheduled to play in the entire Devil You know series, so that won't work for me. I've played Among the Dead as well. I don't think I've played City of Strangers.

![]() |

I'm game for whichever works best.
No worries for Fleetwood unless his contributions compromise the groups success.
With that said, if Fleetwood's limited levels are stagnating your moving onto another adventure I can humbly bow out.

I remember being Level 1 (it seemed like for ages) and not being able to find/be in-tier for a game. That feeling sucked.
So where does that leave us?
The good news is that Grim is XP=8, so Level 3 for one more scenario.
I’m still thinking Season 3: God’s Market Gamble might be our best bet.
So if our party comprised Lore 4, Grim 3, Ruprecht 3, Lhug-mor 2, Eadie 2, Fleetwood 1, our APL = 2.5 exactly. Under Season 5 rules, we must round to the nearest whole number.
But you know what? Mathematically, you can round 2.5000... to either 2 or 3 and in Pathfinder we almost always round halves down.
If you buy this DrGabe, the six of us could play Season 3: God’s Market Gamble at sub-tier 1-2.

fine with me.

Happy holidays to all!
Gabe - I'll be watching the thread for updates, but if for some reason I don't respond, it means it is not updating for me, please private message me so I'm sure to join the next session in a timely manner. Thanks.

Thanks for the chronicle, DrGabe.
Happy holidays from me as well!
We're expecting temps in the high 80's on Christmas Day.

“Guys, whose turn was it to feed, water and lock the GM in his room before we went on Crystalhue break?”
“I thought it was Grim’s, because I did it last time …” **Whistles Innocently**
Bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
“I’ll just go check on him … OH NOES!! HE’S ESCAPED!”

My guess is the poor GM is socked in with snow with more on the way.
"Aw Eadie. If it twer my turn I plum forgot. Guess sometimes my drinkin does not help my memory as much as I thought. Read a scroll about cerebral vascular aeration or some such. Must have been hogwash. I better drink on it and figure out a new plan.. "

Snow. That’s that cold, white stuff my kids have never seen.
But snow in January?? Come on, Grim! You’re pulling my leg now … Oh wait …
Hope you guys are coping OK in the snow.

Our long national nightmare is over... the new game is now active!
God's Market Gamble, Group A
Head on over, I'll be shutting this down soon.
Grim- doesn't our weather suck!?! I hope you got back before the frost storm arrived.

Gerald |

Gabe, apologies for jacking this thread for a moment, but we need one character to start up a RoW game. It is a non PFS game, so wanted to make that clear. If someone wants to get into a new RoW game, follow this link.
http://paizo.com/campaigns/WoodsmokesReignOfWinter/discussion#17
Of course, my link doesn't work, so find it, and if interested, come on over and say howdy.

Gerald- Thank you for the invite, but I am afraid that I'll have to decline. I am just about to join RoW with a friend. Running three games at once is a bit hectic... trying to play in two of the same games would likely be way too crazy even for me!
Grim- yeah, our windows are pretty well frosted inside and out. On the plus side, we finally got the streets plowed today. :) Stay warm man!
