Sorry team, I'd had a busy week at work this week and was waiting for the bundle to close so that any last straggling recruits would be able to sign up.
Let's say that applications (in the form of rough character concepts) are due by this Sunday, 11:59 PM AEST. I'll then assess how many players we have and what to do about running it. I know of one other GM who might take up a game as well, so that we can have twice the number of players.

Awesome! I also had a question about picking a character's languages, though this might be more up to the discretion of whichever GM I might end up with. It comes in three parts:
1) For the Gnome racial variation of Gift of Tongues, can I pick any language, not just the racial languages? Since it need ranks in Linguistics, I was thinking that it's more of a studying thing than a growing up sort of acquisition.
2) I picked Infernal for that particular language because it was recommended in the Player's Guide as being a language used by the enemy. Is that too much meta-gaming? I have no problem changing it.
3) For the Cosmopolitian feat, I can pick two more languages to know. I picked ones that I figured would be heard around the shadier parts of Kintargo. Are those Strix and Shadowtongue, or are there other languages that would be more characteristic of the city? Also, the racial languages bit applies to this question.
Thanks.

Ok, I have downloaded quite a bit and feel like I can get started.
I'm looking at creating a Dwarf Cleric, maybe as a Hidden Priest Archetype that the Hells Rebels player guide suggests? Maybe using a Trickery domain, and he is pretending to be a bard entertainer. Is this an ok direction to take? Calistria is outlawed, so maybe the character should be an Elf.

2) I picked ... because it was recommended in the Player's Guide .... Is that too much meta-gaming?
I'm not the DM, so this is in no way a ruling; it's just an opinion. My thought is that this is the very purpose of the Player's Guide, to direct and encourage this sort of (flavorful) metagaming.
I know I made choices making my PC based on what I read in the Player's Guide.

I would like to put forward my Sylph Air Sorceress as a player character. She is a former Cheliaxian slave who found compassion from the church of Sheylin after her escape and went to the city of Kintargo when she reached adulthood in hopes of making a new life for herself. Now with the crackdown by the Inquisitor, she's willing to make a stand, not wanting to become a slave to the system again.

Oskar Gorunn |

Jerran_Kell's Alias
Oskar Gorunn, Cleric of Milani in hiding, was a novice in the Asmodean clergy until his parents were wrongly imprisoned by House Thrune. Oskar successfully left the church, not exactly a safe thing to attempt, and makes his living working in a small pub near Veritas plaza. Oskar has anger issues and found that he can identify people's insecurities and use them to instigate arguments and bar brawls. When he learned to calm his temper and listen he learned that people like to open up to him and tell him their secrets. Certain people in the underground noticed this and have hired Oskar to settle small disputes among the city's gangs. Through these contacts he met an acolyte of Milani who taught him a new source of hope to challenge the Asmodean establishment and House Thrune. Oskar likes a good bar brawl or riot. Oskar is a good person who helps his friends and likes to see them safe. His Divine Focus is a large flat cobblestone smeared with a drop of his own blood that hands from his neck on a length of twine. He grows roses on the rooftop of the pub where he rents a small room.

I'm not sure if you have too many players or if the recruitment thread is over.
I'm new to these rules, and honestly the plethora of options have kind of frozen me in place.
Some ideas I've played around with are:
A slightly crazed Urban Druid who hears the city itself cry for rebellion.
A young bard finds it hard to earn a living under Thrune's oppression.
just not sure.

DM NOTY |

Ok, recruitment is over (as of 2 days ago).
The current list I have of submitted characters are:
Viviana the Reborn - Human oracle
Gilen Reidford - Human Barbarian
Renvil Ratarion - Human Bard
Matsudaira - Human Monk
Alistair Underhill - Halfling Rogue
Alina Dereni - Human Magus
Alassa Vaenar - Sylph Sorceror
Oskar Gorunn - Dwarf Cleric
Donal Death-Greeter - Half-orc Inquisitor
Malph Rumlinger - Gnome Rogue
Please let me know if I've missed anyone, or if there was anyone that had shown there interest but had a nearly complete character and I missed a question or something similar.
As a sidenote, apologies for poor communication over the last fortnight, work had been busy but I'm now in the right place to get this game kickin'.

I applied prior to the due date.
This was sent by personal mail as well as by my alias.
Yep, received that. Apologies for missing you off the list.
Either is fine with me. But I think I'd like to stick to this group of applicants to start? I've never done this before...
Well, given that there is - by my count - 11 applicant, how's about we split it into a group of five and a group of six. That way every applicant gets a chance to play :)

DM NOTY |

Ok, sorted for balanced parties, I'm proposing:
Group 1:
Viviana the Reborn - Human oracle
Gilen Reidford - Human Barbarian
Malph Rumlinger - Gnome Rogue
Alassa Vaenar - Sylph Sorceror
Matsudaira - Human Monk
Group 2:
Oskar Gorunn - Dwarf Cleric
Rhen Selador – Human Fighter
Alina Dereni - Human Magus
Renvil Ratarion - Human Bard
Donal Death-Greeter - Half-orc Inquisitor
Henry Ravenheart - Investigator

I believe I get Group 1, as it only has 5 players...
Um, NOTY, how do I get started with a campaign? Do I need to start with a Recruitment thread and link the Gameplay and Discussion threads to it, or can I skip the Recruitment thread (since this was sort of mine as well as yours) and go straight to Gameplay and Discussion?

I'd just make a recruitment thread, and call it a closed recruitment, then make the campaign from there. That way you know for sure that all the threads are correctly linked :)

Group 1, I think I've got the campaign started here...I don't think this link will mess anything up...
