The Iron Golem unleashes a cloud of poisonous gas surrounding Brom and Shinkeer!

Still annoyed that he no longer is under the haste effect, Pallas turns toward Brom and Shinkeer, seeing that they are in a bit of trouble. Intoning a magical phrase, Pallas seems to appear as 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 copies of the Keleshite man appear around him. Casts mirror image He then moves forward as as fast as he can, drawing his adamantine scimitar as he tries to move past the golem's long grip. Draw weapon as part of move action to H8; Tumble: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25

Shin swings at the new, metallic golem!

Note that Shin's sword does electricity damage (1st d6). I think that effects an iron golem.

The golem smashes an image into the ground.

Unfortunately only spells or spell-like abilities that deal electricity can slow a golem.

Shinkeer hits twice with his sword, shaving some metal off the golem.

Brom almost spins in place as he’s brutally pummeled by the giant golem’s iron fists. Despite the massive injuries he’s sustained, the brawny orc keeps on his feet – mostly by will and fury alone.

He roars in defiance and lays into the deadly construct.

Confirming: 1d20 + 19 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 19 + 4 + 2 = 33

Well if this doesn't kill it, Brom's got problems.

Upon further review, Shin's attacks do slow the golem.

6 + 4 + 21 + 24 + 26 + 50 = 131

I thought DR 15 was enough.

And with much rage Brom barely brings down the golem. 131/129

As the golem goes down, Shin watches warily for another type to emerge, just like Irrisen nesting dolls.

Surprisingly there is not a third golem inside the iron golem, as the golemception ends here.

Pallas calls out to Brom, "Let me heal you before we tackle the giant."

Brom growls and clutches his weapon tightly despite the broken bones visible beneath his skin.

I killed the one thing that could reliably hit Pallas.

Davo moves up besides Brom'mash and heals the faithful warrior.

Dora will invisibly walk up to the giant and cast prot v evil on him.

Zoarth clutches his head as Dora's magic seems to take hold. "No, what have I done?" He falls to his knees as his deeds catch up to him. However, as he does so, more cats appear seemingly out of nowhere. The ones attack Verakas stop and turn to face their 'master.' Within moments, the dire tigers pounce upon him and tear him apart. It does not take long but the cats end the giant's life.

"It is over." Verakas states with little emotion in her voice.

Dora puts away the little umbrella she was holding up while expecting the giant to pound her to pulp.

"what? I am still alive? Yippee! Everyone ok? What about Rusty!? . " she runs back to her wolf and will cure him back to health.

"That merely left more questions then answers. What were those things?"

"Abominations. I believe I will take this castle for myself as restitution for my pain."

"Abominations? That's a bit general." Pallas looks to Davo and Dora to see if they have any better explanations.

With the danger passed Brom’s fury fades and as his rage goes the weight of his injuries hits him.

"If I had had to postulate on the nature of these creatures, I imagine they might originate from a pocket dimension within the Dimension of Dreams, somewhat akin to the demiplane of Leng. Creatures of the Dimension of Dreams are often known for their ability to influence the mind and alter their forms - after all, dreams themselves are fluid."

"There are thousands of demiplanes in that dimension; I do have a short list I keep of known ones. I will file this under the topic of Dimension-616, and make sure to send a few letters to rather more specialized colleagues on the topic."

Pallas listens with great interest to what Davo is telling them. "Leng I have heard of before. It is mentioned in the Pathfinder accounts of the exploration of Xin-Shalast, but this Dimension of Dreams is new to me. How do these creatures travel here? Do they travel through dreams or do they employ standard magical methods such as the plane shift spell? Can the travel be done in reverse? Could we travel there?" The topic seems to be of obvious interest to the Keleshite.

Shin listens to the professor, slowly shaking his head. "Strange animal they were indeed."

"So where do these other tigers go now? And do you think anyone else was involved in controlling the giant? . "

"There are multiple methods to reach the dimension of dreams. Thankfully none are easy; a simple plane shift is not enough. I wonder if since Zoarth was their link to this world if they will not return to their dimension of their own accord."

Not terribly interested in the academics of the whole scenario, Brom simply notes in satisfaction that all the hostile felines are dead.

"If the danger's passed perhaps we should turn our thoughts toward reporting this to the Venture Captain", he comments.

Brom'mash looks toward the gnome. "Unless you think this matter not worth his time"

"Oh it is certainly worth his time, Dear Brom'mash. But it is rather a shame that we could not divine the secrets of the Tome"

"Is that why you were working for him? You needed him to unlock a book for you?" Verakas asks.

Pallas nods. "Would you be willing to help us?"

"Yes, I could find a mage for you."

"That would be most excellent!. "
