With dire foes assaulting them Harlis calls upon one of the most powerful of his prayers. "Fervor of Iomedae inspire you!" He then moves up past the spectral foe to assess the fight better.
Casting Blessing of Fervor on the party, each person can choose one of four effects. Extra attack or +2 attack, dodge AC & Reflex saves being the best. Probably provoking the ghost again. Also if his original line of sight is bad then the casting would be after the move.

Since you didn't mention that as a possibility, and I didn't say anything about what I'd have wanted to do if it were, I think it's reasonable to say I'd not have moved at all if I'd known that were the case, and have that all taken back.
