Little Orphan Annie |
does it burn? Annie asks innocently as her eyes flare with an inner fire[/ooc]
Annie will back up hall with her own detect magic
spellcraft if needed: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
Annie will wait to share what she finds with detect magic, and hear what Hall shares what he sees first, and only add if he missed anything that she was able to discover
Sorry Hall just wanted to have a back-up just in case, between the two of us we should catch everything needed
Hall Stewart |
no prob, your spellcraft bonus is two higher than mine (unless I spend 2 power points to essentially cast identify) psicraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
Gigar |
Gigar flares his second, smaller mindblade, and stops for a moment. It could also just be a gigantic clock. He looks down at his blades and shrugs, then stealthfuly creeps out and around the open passageway (I never stopped cutting, knowing magic only gets so far and is not trustworthy).
stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
As he moves he is constantly looking up and around, trying to see what the ticking is.
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
GM Capt Wombat |
The space off big and behind you stair well as well some 800, across.
The ticking sound is coming from an odd looking object, it's a large clock like thing but in front is a female humanoid who's made of light, she seems to be going throw the action of holding a drink in some kind of can, opening it, drinking it smiling then resetting with a shimmer and doing it again. You can see at the base of the clock thing is a crystal giving off dark light. Two undead rats seem to be sitting on it as if feeding on its rays.
Gigar |
bad post there in the beginning, but I think I got it
Also note, this post takes place around the third and fourth rounds of their castings of "Detect," as he didn't wait for them.
Gigar takes a small gulp and slides back through the doorway, he then recounts in a small whisper, Ok, so the good news is I was right, it's just a giant clock. His face slightly paler than before, he swallows something and continues, The bad news is there is some kind of humanoid standing under it, drinking some kind of beverage. There is also a large (color) crystal sitting below the clock, and a pair of some kind of Undead Rat feeding on some kind of Dark Light that it gives off. Gigar looks to the two casters as they continue to chant and concentrate on the auras coming from the same direction, then snidely replys to them, You "detect" all that? His face is very grim at this point, and his longer blade begins to glow brighter than it had before. (Using a full round action to charge up his mind blade with an extra 1d8 charge to it.)
GM Capt Wombat |
[ooc]Sorry about that posting from a bouncing taxi with an Ipad mini that has an evil auto correct.
Hall I have only Gigar out side at this moment, the rest of you are waiting on his all Clear but for GAR who can sneak great as well.
+ as had been said you enacting Detect.
The detecting negative energy from the same location, Gigar indicates.
Hall Stewart |
"some of it, might have been all of it had you not gone off like an idiot, I can understand somewhat not caring if you endanger us or the mission, it's possible you don't care, but do you not have the slightest bit of self preservation?" he whispers, getting frustrated he pauses, calming himself "the light is some form of negative energy, it feeds, strengthens and heals undead but does the opposite to most living creatures, if we fight them we need to keep them away from the energy so they stay down, likewise stay out of it yourself"
Gigar |
There is something moving slowly 50" above and behind you
It moves 10' to the right the. 10' to the left
Good thing it wasn't right outside then, its up and around behind us. Good to know about the negative energy thing, but what is it. I don't think she saw me, at least, she didn't act that way. Gigar pauses for a moment and looks around, speaking of not seeing, where is our newest compatriot?
Little Orphan Annie |
that's not a rat that's Gigar scouting
as Annie sees the rat run past she holds out he little hand and "poof" a bolt of flame launches toward it
ranged touch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
fire damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Little Orphan Annie |

Scarlet 1 -> walks out behind others and starts to walk to the dark crystal. 30' move
So lovely makes me feel do happy
Hall Stewart |
if it's an antimagic effect effect I get a will save to keep the sword, and if it's a dispell effect it doesn't work, mages disjunction type effect (9th lvl spell) would work but it would still come with a save, albeit a harder one
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
GM Capt Wombat |
Hall you just have yourself a save and a rule you do not get,
What it is your PCs have yet to find out, until you do please refream from taking over the GMing.
Now please do has ask and ROLL V DC22 will save, and no I will not take that last roll as one, you list that roll because you did not list what it was for.
now two more will saves please one for 4pp lost
and one for mind thrust
DC22
What it felt like Hall, was like your blade was sucked away, as was your psionic focus, [now gone]
any powers running where disrupted by the event and lost,
you will have to spend to get them back up again.
Others
Perception rolls anyone looking at the odd crystal DC11
Hall Stewart |
so you are going to epic spells then, because mages disjunction, a 9th lvl spell can do all of that except for the loss of psionic focus, and it requires both a touch attack and a save for the magic items...perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Zaeltor |
Zaeltor shakes his stupor away, and unleashes a volley of arrows at one of the rats.
Flurry of Arrows at Evil Rat 1.
Flurry 1 on Rat 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9Damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Flurry 2 on Rat 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28Damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Flurry 2 CRIT confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21Additional Damage if it crits: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (7, 1) + 18 = 26
So, I think arrow 1 misses, but arrow 2 hits for 43 points of damage if the crit is confirmed, since I believe all bonuses are multiplied.
Hall Stewart |
[dice=will save vs mind thrust, as the "mysterious" power point loss I already passed the save against and passed at the listed DC]1d20+11[/dice]I do hope this label is clear enough, no ambiguity
Little Orphan Annie |
(@_@)
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
"Pretty..."
Annie walks beside Scarlet...
Little Orphan Annie |
1d100 ⇒ 48
drat was hoping for the small nuclear device... think of the fire I can make with that...
Hall Stewart |
repeat of previous will save that I already rolled and passed on agains unknown effect of DM cheating: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
And of course he fails because the DM makes up the rules as he goes along
