GM Capt Wombat |

Not a swarm but swarms
1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Big nasty looking black rats, little red eyes looking at you all and sharp teeth, lots and lots of teeth. A squirming and squeaky mass of rats with rotting flesh, torn and matted fur, and reddish blazing eyes moves toward you. Their semi-translucent skin shows discolored bones and muscle.
Rat Swarm 1: Gos for 1d7 ⇒ 6
Rat Swarm 2: Gos for 1d7 ⇒ 3
1:Jack
2:Anne
3:Scarlet
4:Hall

Kn Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Its a shadow swarm, it can drain your strenght. You need area effect fire spell. Don't try cold spell they are undead therefore immune. Weapon are about 50% effective against them says jack as reciting from a book he commited to memory

Little Orphan Annie |

sorry had to visit wife in hospital today will post after dinner

Little Orphan Annie |

initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Annie fiddles through her bag and pulls out a small sealed bag.
Annie tries to spy the best spot to toss the bag at the swarm thing.
Once she sees an opportunity she toss the bag Duck! hehehhe
The bag strikes and explodes in a small blast of fiery goo (pathfinder version of Napalm grenade)
ranged touch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3 DC 20 reflex or catch fire plus DC 15 reflex or become entangled in the fiery goo.
failed reflex vs catching fire = 1d6 fire damage every round for 2 rounds
splash damage is 1 point fire damage in 5' radius

all is good she comes home Monday...problems i rather not say in a public forum

Zaeltor |

Looking at his bow, Zaeltor is almost certain individual arrows cannot do much against such a mass of creatures - he does his best to survey the area for other menaces, and leaves the swarm to those able to deal with it.

Little Orphan Annie |

Annie growls with frustration the rats did not catch on fire. her eyes glow red and the fiery rune on her forehead glows
Time for Lala to play Annie growls angrily
and the small fires created by her tangleburn bag sink into the stone. soon the stone forms into hot magma and from the stone floor a blob of living Magma erupts out and spews forth a pool of magma around itself.
Summon monster II as a standard action (summoner ability)
see profile for Lala stats
Lala erupts from floor and her action is her lava puddle ability Annie summoned Lala in the middle of the swarm so the swarm takes: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5 fire damage no save and continues for 1d3 ⇒ 1 rounds inflicting another 1d6 ⇒ 6 fire damage each round.
the area containing Lala is considered difficult terrain
forgot the rats will also take 1d4 ⇒ 3 fire damage when they attack Lala and another DC 9 reflex to avoid catching on fire

Gurrsmaggle |

My second attack would have missed (I was counting the flanking bonus)

Damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
OH Att: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Gurrsmaggle slashes at the swarm of rats and his first blade clears a path through 3 or 4 of them. Unfortunately he misjudged the speed of the others and there were none in their place as his second blade glides through the air.

Zaeltor |

GM Capt Wombat, since Zaeltor was way out there in the back of the room, behind the overturned boxes, with Jack standing protectively in front of him, is he still reached by the swarm? If he is still being attacked:
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Seeing that the swarm is clearly not being dealt with the expediency he was expecting, Zaeltor decides to react - taking a step back, he fires his bow at point blank against the incoming swarm.

Combat over.
Only Scarlet got hit and is weak
needs medical help and DC rolls for sickness
mission clock 9:38:01am
looking around you see the rats are now just dust.
but they came from above and above there is now a Ticking sound,
dull deep, static and not far away, like the sound of a massive clock.
The air is moving a cool blow of fresh air comes down the steps leading up.

Little Orphan Annie |

waiting to hear if Annie summoned Lala or not. not sure where she was in the init order and the rats may have been dead before her turn. or if it looked like the rats were a gonner easily then she would not have wasted the summon

Little Orphan Annie |

no as in not summoned?

![]() |

I don't mean to sound harsh, but if the ticking sound is from some kind of explosive, I'd as soon not be in the blast radius. Let us investigate outside first, and if its still there when we come back, then we can take care of it.
With that Gigar begins to follow Gurrsmaggle up the stairs.
stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Little Orphan Annie |

Annie follows along hopping up the stairs Hop...skip...jump...
at the top she takes a look at the situation.
if whatever is up there is stone, my friend Lala can go see what's on the other side. but she can't tell time

GM Capt Wombat |

You get to the top steps very old cloth like canvas covers the exit, light is streaming into your darknescv holes in it. If you peak out, you see a big open space, all around buildings some broken some standing, the cloth seems to be some kind of picture, you can see nothing moving the space looks over grown with claiming plants and trees, then some bird like things fly past and up. Looking up you see a broken roof, it's about 300' over head and seems to link to the buildings all around. It's broken and you see openings into a blue sky.
The buildings all around seem to have lots of big alcoves facing you that had glass fronts. Most are broken, but out of the 100s one or two are not. There is plant life and other junk litter the floors of the buildings levels facing you. About 14. You will have to cut the cloth to get out into the open space.

![]() |

Gigar extends a mindblade, shaping it into a long dagger, then proceedes to cut down the cloth and carefully roll it up, placing it into his pack. What? It might be valuable to those squints back at the city?
