am i correct in saying that if i am trained in speed defense from two or more things, that i count as specialized?

I can't find anything in the rules to say no, so I am going to say yes, you would be specialized.

also, if i start with light armor, is there any chance i could sell that for more medium bolts?

If you would like to play and you're listed above, please go ahead and complete a profile. Embracing the game concept, please start by completing the statement: "Character name is a (fill in adjective) (fill in noun) who (fill in verb). My apologies to those that have expressed an interest but have not yet posted a concept/profile but I am going to close recruitment with the 5(6) players that have done that much. Andiemus assuming you want to play, please post profile by end of day Wednesday.

I will pass out oddities and Cyphers (as needed) later today. I will also open the discussion thread for the 5 accepted players to introduce your character to each other and ask rules questions, etc.

Everybody, check to see if you need to select another player as part of your character focus and if so go ahead and do that and add it to your profile.

Question: I was thinking about replacing my broadsword with a sword-staff (I'm guessing that's a staff with blades on both ends?).

I kind of have this vision of the sword-staff being two pieces that join into one. It is actually a normal weapon, but he uses his Hedge Magic to merge it together and then break it apart when he's just moving along through the forest or in the city. Individually each half is a Light weapon. Is something like that possible?

And I need someone that helped me establish the connection of the central processing units of my cybernetics into my nervous system. I had to be unconscious and this person needed to establish the wireless connection and instantiate the boot code. They know the protocol for wireless connection and the secret key to decrypt the signals. With the right equipment they can monitor or control my cyber-enhancments given this information.

Current posted backgrounds aren't jumping out as meshing.

@Devrian, Tenro - Sadly I don't see Callidus as being considered civilized ... though he seems more civilized than two of the backgrounds posted. Galahad-Tenro is definitely the most civilized to date. It would be interesting if Devrien had contempt for Galahad, yet Galahad was always trying to impress Devrien.

Possible reason to be on the wandering walk ...

Most of Calliduses existence is supported through finding or stealing what he needs. Almost all of the technology fused with his body was obtained in this way. Unbeknownst to Callidus at the time, his most recent theft, a Catseye Lens, was from a powerful crime family. Knowing they are more likely to kill him to make a statement than take any form of payment in retribution Callidus decided to run, blending in with those on the Wandering Walk. He plans to walk until he can determine just how deep he is. As soon as he can he will settle elsewhere.

Perhaps his home town is one of the local villages mentioned in the campaign info.

Galahad has this connection " he encountered one of the PCs outnumbered by drunkards in the lower district. He helped end the fight, but had to lay low for awhile since he seriously injured several of the drunken slobs. He has kept intermittent contact with the PC, who later brought up a lead for work, knowing that he hadn't had a job in a bit."

Maybe the drunkards are thugs that were going to kill Callidus. Tenro stopped the fight ...

Sounds good! Ill edit in my profile later. Perhaps you didnt like his flashy combat style or were just mad because you could have handled them without help. Or something else, who knows
