Thanks for the heads up! I'll try to resist the urge to bot you, but I can't promise anything. :)

![]() |

That works for me. I'm running a con this weekend, but still plan to post by phone between sessions. If I need to be botted, I'm an easy bot right now:
1) 2 Rounds of Rage left...burn them until they are gone
2) If an enemy is within a 5' step of me (with 5' reach)
5' step + Nodachi + Bite
3) If opponent is farther
Move + Nodachi
Nodachi = +6 (1d10+7/18-20) while raging
Bite = +1 (1d8+5) while raging

GM NotEspi |

That's a wrap. Session is reported and I will make and link you the sheets later today (worst case scenario tomorrow). I'll make a closing post today.
Now there are a few things I would like to cover.
1 - Faction Journal Cards - If anyone of you would wish to apply for a check in this scenario, go ahead and let me know so that I can fill the report sheets properly.
2 - Further Scenarios in this Group in particular - Not sure about Raman and Ssresrandu, but given that it's Turkeyday in the US soon, we'll let it simmer for a while until they check back here or with me directly. I'll keep the thread open for now, so that we can discuss this further.
3 - Anything you would like to add

![]() |

1: Sadly, my bluff attempt to dissuade wasn't high enough, so not this time. :(
2: I'd love to with any of this group who's still interested in doing so.
3:Awesome as always NotEspi, I had a ton of fun!

![]() |

1: Forgoing my day job roll for my journal card check Finalise report: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 Doh!
2: I've just started GMing and may have overstretched myself a little, so unfortunately I think that I shouldn't sign up for another game here. It's a shame, I quite liked the idea of having Eadric hang out with y'all on a longer term basis. :(
3: Thank you for running all three of these scenarios like this. It was great fun hanging out with the same characters over several missions!
Y'all have been tons of fun to play with!

![]() |

Thanks for the awesome offer, but I'm actually only running one table at the moment. I think my limit is GMing one table, while playing in one or two others. However, I have already somehow managed to commit to playing three games (including a GM mentoring one) and it's getting a little tricky to keep up with everything.
Maybe it's because I'm still transitioning out of some of the Gameday games into new games that I'm having issues. Perhaps if I can give it a few days, I'll see what I'm like then?

GM NotEspi |

Okay. Sheets may be found HERE
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mT2TdC3Qlw_IuqLUhOyaqZ7Np9aDZ Rib
Please check them for any issues and let me know so I can revise if necessary. Once that is done, please check the few posts above about the future games with this group so I can set something up.
I enjoyed these very much and I would be delighted to take you on more adventures.

![]() |

1. I don't worry too much about the faction cards, and I don't have a day job.
2. I'd love to continue with this group. It's been a blast.
3. You did a great job, and I enjoyed gaming with you all.

![]() |

Woo! I hope that we get to play again soon, though Cypher is gonna be bumped up a little from some GM credit that i've been sitting on, though once your past the level 1's it's all 1-5 and 3-7 anyways.

![]() |

Wouldn't mind something in Taldor for faction purposes for me. Also, applied GM credit so I'm 3 now. Obviously, Cypher would prefer social over dungeon crawling, but I've got enough tricks now that I can be helpful even in a dungeon crawl, if not nearly as effectively.

![]() |

I have no particular preferences, but yeah, a good mix of combat and roleplay so that everyone gets a chance to shine would be perfect. Although I have to admit, trying to figure out how Eadric (my only character with no face skills) can help when out of combat is quite fun. :)

![]() |

Best part for me is I got my hat of disguise! Now it's only a matter of saving up for the extra 10,000 gold to get the greater hat and Cypher will really be on the route to fulfilling their character arc.

![]() |

I forgot to post after I grabbed the Chronicle: Thanks NotEspi! And everyone else.
I mentioned earlier that I'm going to rebuild Mori, and Mori didn't really mesh with the cast for me (although that might have been a function of the scenarios).
Would you guys be interested in a cleric?

Not to burst your bubble, but the only way to get that is to play the 10th level module: Cures of the Riven Sky.

Huh I thought you could get it just for owning the book. Welp, just means it'll be a bit longer then for that item, either to GM the scenario myself or have Cypher play in it. 10,000 is a lot to save up anyways, though if I had realized it I probably would have GM'd it myself so that I could put it on Cypher at level 1 and pick it up when they had enough gold for it.

Who wouldn't want a cleric in there party. :)
Cypher has a hat of disguise? There'll be no stopping them now! :)

![]() |

That's the idea! Sadly, it's not tactile, but I think their general response is going to be "You wouldn't ask someone to remove their makeup would you?" and keep the alterations fairly low key unless needed. Hence wanting the greater hat of disguise, since it's a physical transformation not just a illusionary one. I don't even necessarily want it for stat bonuses, I just want Cypher to be able to physically transform into whatever form they want to be the most attractive person in any room.
And a cleric sounds good, Eadric's right, there is always room for a cleric, even the non-healy kinds.

What you need to do is buy the Adventurer's Guide and take 1 level in Psychic with the Rivethun discipline. It grants metamorphosis, which allows you once per two days (at the fastest) to assume a new physical appearance (of your same type, so no human to elf, but could swap gender, hair color, stature, etc) until you decide to change again.

![]() |

Hmmm... I don't know if it'd be worth a whole level dip, and a whole two days is a little slow for Cypher's whole "Walk into a room, seduce EVERYONE" deal sadly, though I am absolutely keeping it in mind for a spy idea.

GM NotEspi |

Alright. Let's make a plan here. First topic of the conversation, then:
Who is on board for continuing here? Can you confirm? We'll drop Raman since they did not respond here or via PM for what seems like a few weeks. I don't think I am being unreasonable here. Thrawn is not joining us as mentioned above. Eadric is on the fence (or was rather), so I'd love to hear from you about whether you managed to find some time and join us or not. So I will need the following to confirm your availability (and willingness) to carry on:
Cypher
Eadric
Helme
Mori
We'll figure out the scenario once we have this done.

![]() |

I'm absolutely on board. Heck, even if (Sadly) we don't get this group onto another mission if you do something that Cypher could participate in for your next game I'd love to keep you as a GM, if only to spare other GMs from having to deal with Cypher. :P In all seriousness though, love your style and your willingness to work with my character concept and would love to keep working with you.

![]() |

I'm in! It might be a little bit tricky every now and then, but I think I can make it work. :)

![]() |

I'm in.

![]() |

This is going to be my replacement Cleric for Mori.
Will be a Herald Caller.

GM NotEspi |

Right. I've made a filter for Taltor stuff, and based on PFS tracker, a few scenarios popped up. I dropped the ones with low rating and with incompatible tiers and ended up with the following:
Pathfinder Society Scenario #41: The Devil We Know—Part III: Crypt of Fools (PFRPG) PDF
**** (based on 15 ratings)
Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-21: The Dalsine Affair (PFRPG) PDF
**** (based on 15 ratings)
Pathfinder Society Scenario #5–11: Library of the Lion (PFRPG) PDF
**** (based on 48 ratings)
My thoughts on them:
The Devil We Know - the series (4 scenarios) has mostly bad ratings (2.5 stars), except for this one part. There is another problem here. The thing should be played in a sequence. Sort of. parts 3 and 4 should be played after 1 and 2. While I am not opposed to running an entire series, Cypher did play part 1 (based on PFS tracker, at least), so we would have to skip that or not award credit to (at least) one player. On the other hand - skipping it locks other characters from playing it in the future, at least based on what I saw so far.
Dalsine Affair - I have never played it, but the scenario is (supposedly) notorious for being quite deadly inc ertain parts.
Library of the Lion - This one, I am a little concerned about. Mostly due to stuff I would rather not disclose (spoilers). In short - there's a lot of checks involved in skills that are not in abundance within this group, so it might prove to be a bit frustrating with a failure after failure - not very enjoyable, I imagine.
Thoughts?

![]() |

Yeah, actually I'm in a Devil We Know Part 3/4 game that just started (Need to throw that onto the tracker) with another character, so that's right out for me.
As for the other two, I'm up for it if others are, though if everyone else is not loving the options I'm willing to venture outside of Taldor, it was just for a faction mission after all and I won't be to horribly broken up if I don't get that right away.

![]() |

I have some GM credit to apply.
I've done Lion of the Library, but it's fun and I wouldn't mind spending a replay star if that's the way we go.

![]() |

I'm not sure about doing a scenario if we don't have certain skills necessary to make it through properly. But I have no issues with trying the Dalsine Affair, I could even boost Eadric up to level three for that one with GM credit if it doesn't nudge us into the higher tier. :)

![]() |

I'm up for any of them.

Head on over and dot into the gameplay thread. I'm not quite decided ont he subtier yet, but I wouldn't want to get too high so I'll try to get people that are level 2 if possible. Once everyone dotted in, I'll mark this thread inactive to not clog the campaigns tab for you (and me, of course).
I'm in 6 -PbP- games. Pls help my altoholism.

![]() |

Darn it, I forgot Silverhex is a level 1 chronicle sheet. Looks like Eadric will stay level two, for this one. :)
I'm dotted in the other thread now, and I have no player preferences. ;)

![]() |

I'm afraid I can't help you there Not Espi. I'm in at least twice that many.
I have a friend Nomdadical. He would be a good fit for this group if he has a character in level. He and Cypher roleplaying together would be something to see. Maybe this isn't such a good idea. :)

![]() |

Can you check with him to join? Assuming he'd be interested, that is.
Yes I can.

![]() |

Nomidical can't join us. Not good timing for him.
