Muttering and chanting in the goblin tongue comes from within the darkened building beside Marc and Tannithil, but there is no obvious effect.

An arrow suddenly flies out from amongst the crooked timber supports holding up the building immediately to Xargin’s left, targeting the bard.

I think Marc, Tannithil and Haelynn are on full hit points after Haelynn’s channel energy. She can channel 6 more times, but it is a bit indiscriminate as nearby goblins will also be healed as Haelynn doesn’t yet have the selective channelling feat. Haelynn also has two more first level spells to cast today and could make them cure light wounds. Xargin can cast two first level spells and has cure light wounds on his list.

Hearing the shouts of battle and cries of pain, Haelynn grits her teeth in frustration as the goblins prevent her from tending to her allies. She grips her spear and thrusts at the goblin between her and Xargin.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7


From her position at the top of the ladder, Haelynn thrusts downwards with her spear, the point piercing the top of the goblin's bulbous head, down into its brain. It collapses with nary a whimper.


The goblin that Yumiko is attempting to target does not reappear around the corner of the building.

The two goblins facing Tannithil continue to attempt to hurt him with sword and torch.

The blade of the first goblin's dogslicer falls off, leaving it holding a handle. But the other one thrusts the torch right into the elf's face!

A grim expression crosses Grendel's face, knowing he is cut off form his companions. He launches himself at the creature before him, scoring a solid hit.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 1 = 22
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8


Yumiko takes aim ...

Tannithil strikes powerfully, but the goblin ducks under his blade and pokes out its tongue at him.


Grendel's blade pierces through his opponent's defenses, drawing blood and piercing several of the large pustules covering the goblin's body, which ooze pus. The goblin yelps and looks about, seeming to be trying to decide whether to keep fighting or flee.


Marc.


Sorry about the delay

Marc grins as the goblin that ducked under his previous blow is run through by Haelynn. But his celebration is short lived as he hear's Tannithil hiss in pain as one of the goblins facing him breaches his defences. Marc hauls up his hammer and crashes it in at the goblin's back.

Attacks goblin 7, flanking, and last round of inspire courage, right?

Lucerne Hammer: 1d20 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 2 + 1 = 20damage: 1d12 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6


There is a loud ~crack~ as the goblin’s spine shatters, and it flops to the walkway, dead.


The goblin facing Grendel looks about again – then runs away. Withdraw action to avoid AoO – move to H9, then jump down to G10 Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 then ducks down and moves under the building, out of sight.

Xargin staggers and almost falls as the arrow thuds into his back. He makes for the ladder, moving past Haelynn up to the dubious protection of the walkway.

Dammit!


All Haelynn’s companions (with the exception of Grendel who is too far away) feels a brief rush of welcome warmth as Shelyn figuratively embraces them.


The goblin attacking Tannithil through the doorway with the torch again tries to attack the samurai with the torch. torch: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (16) - 2 = 14 damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 It then backs away into the room. 5 foot step to K13.

The goblin that Yumiko has been trying to get a shot at emerges from a building at the top of a ladder … Triggering Yumiko’s readied action … There is a loud ~BOOM~ as Yumiko fires her weapon, and the goblin’s head disappears in a shower of gore. Goblin 4 is down.


Two more goblins wielding dog-slicers rush out from the short tower that Grendel had previously been lurking atop. One dashes across a walkway to attack Xargin, while the other scurries down a ladder and across the muddy ground below.

Grendel decides against pursuing his opponent, not wanting to be taken by surprise again. He heads into the room instead, towards the goblin with the torch, taking advantage of it's split focus between himself and Tannithil.

Move to K12. Pretty sure that counts as flanking?

Yumiko tears open the alchemical cartridge with her teeth, rams it home, and spits a new ball into her barrel. She lines up goblin #10...

'Remind me not to get on your bad side!' Marc grins as Yumiko makes short work of one, then a second goblin. Seeing Xargin and Haelynn facing the single remaining goblin within site, Marc strides towards the building after Tannithil.

Seeing continued fighting within, he punches out with his lucerne hammer from the doorway, using it's reach to strike at the goblin opposite.

Yumiko blasts the goblin she targeted down into the mud where it lies pulped and unmoving.

Marc's attack is less dramatic but no less effective, as his long-hammer mashes the side of the goblin's head, dropping it.

But fails to find one. He curses creatively in goblin, something about Tannithil’s mother and a horse.
