HISTORY
Marc is the youngest child of an aged Chelaxian merchant and trader. He has multiple siblings, but there is an eight year gap between he and his next oldest sibling, sister Marion, and a twenty year gap between he and his oldest brother, Farrell.

Marc’s mother died of illness when he was five year’s old, and as a result he has spent most of his life on the road with his father’s business. He formed a close bond with his father and learnt much of the trade business through observation. But he also loved time on the road riding with caravans. Being the youngest child, he had less pressure on him to take on official duties and so had more time to spend with the guards, practicing his swordplay and dreaming of heroics.

When his father started to age, he set up a more permanent residence in Sandpoint, partly due to a growing friendship with Madame Niska Mvashti. He began handing over many duties of his business to Farrell, including the majority of the travel obligations. His friendship with Niska developed, and extended to Niska’s daughter Koya. Marc accompanied his father on many of these visits, and while he and Niska conversed over tea, Marc spent much time with the kindly Koya. Having lacked a mother figure most of his life, he grew to love the time he got to spend with her.

When Niska became ill, she requested that Marc and his father look out for Koya, something they both agreed to. But soon after, Marc’s father grew ill and passed away as well, leaving the responsibility of this promise to Marc.

With his father’s passing, Marc’s life changed dramatically, along with the dynamics of the family business. Farrell took on sole leadership of the trading business and immediately put pressure on Marc to contribute more fully to the business in a role that would see him on the road far more often than not. Marc has resisted this pressure thus far, wanting to fulfil his promise and remain close in case Koya need him. He also does not relish the prospect of becoming a merchant full-time; particularly in the more diminished capacity his brother is willing to offer.

DESCRIPTION
Standing slightly above average height (183cm / 6’1”), Marc is of modest height and build. He is relatively slim (85kg / 187lbs) but is well toned and broad of shoulder. Wavy brown locks are swept back from his face and graze the tops of his shoulders.

A gleaming suit splint mail amplifies his stature, and the heavy Lucerne Hammer gripped two-handed before him can prove intimidating. A long sword is belted at his waist and a heavy shield slung over his back. Standing faithfully behind him, his black charger Taletheus paws the ground, looking eager for battle.

Despite his battle readiness, Marc wears an easy smile and is only to ready to clasp arms and make conversation. He is quick to laugh and is often seen with a cheeky twinkle in his green eyes when there is no danger present and good-natured mischief is to be had.
