Xargin and Haelynn.

Init Round 5:
Reta: 20
Xargin: 18
Haelynn: 17
Goblins: 15
Tannithil: 14
Yumiko: 11
Grendel: 9+
Marc: 7
Chuffy: 5+
Spider: 5

Male Human Fighter / 3

Tannithil shrugs off the effects of another bite.

Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Male Human Fighter / 3

Xargin strikes at the odd goblin again.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 1 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Female Aasimar (musetouched/tian-min) Oracle (life) 1

"The badger strikes before the snake bites," Haelynn mutters, moving away from Yumi to strike a goblin foe with her longspear.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

I think the only goblin you could reach is at D16, if you move to E18 and attack with reach - thats if its ok moving diagonally across walkways/rooms etc

Yeah, best to give map co-ordinates and/or an intended target, but I also assume that is what Haelynn had in mind.

Haelynn rushes through the crowded goblin house and stabs past Grendel with her spear, skewering the already wounded goblin.

Goblin 2 is down and out. By the way, if Haelynn has any healing magic left, I'm sure Yumiko would appreciate getting enough healing to get back into the fight ...

Xargin's blade pierces through the goblin's armour and into her flesh. She screeches loudly.

There are more screeches and goblin war-cries from the east, and several more goblins run towards the heroes from Sandpoint, two bursting from the building near Tannithil and another ducking under the walkways as it runs along the muddy ground.

Tannithil, Yumiko, Grendel, Marc.

Male Human Fighter / 3

Tannithil slashes desperately at the spider again, as he feels the pressure of more goblins approaching.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 1 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6

Ive added the bonus for inspire courage (I think thats what it was) I tihnk it is still going right?

Male Halfling Rogue (Scout)/1

Grendel moves to D14 and tries to climb to E14

Climb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Grendel runs along the walkway and scurries up onto the low roof.

If that would invite an attack of opportunity, he will climb to D12 instead

Female Tiefling (oni/tian-min) Wizard (spellslinger) 1 (HP 7/7 AC:15 T:13 F:12 Sves F:+1 R:+3 W:+2 CMB:-1 CMD:12 Init:+3 Perc: +5) ; Itchy (-2 Dex, -2 Cha)

...

That's my turn

Marc gives a slightly embarrassed look left and right to see if anyone had noticed his failed effort to climb up onto the building. He feels a certain level of relief at finding Haelynn occupied with the goblin to his left and Haelynn still unconcious to his right, though immediately feels guilt for the thought.

The whoop of newly arrived goblins provides him with the perfect excuse to abandon the rooftop, and he retraces his steps along the walkway towards Tannithil. Noticing a goblin running under the walkway, he swings down at it with his hammer as he goes.

Moves to I15 and uses the reach of his lucerne hammer to attack the goblin in g6

lucerne hammer: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10 Damage: 1d12 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 1 = 9

Tannithil finally manages to finish off the troublesome spider.

Grendel scrambles up to the roof.

Yumiko remains unconscious.

Marc moves, swinging at a goblin as he goes, but the stunty enemy ducks under the blow.

Yeah, you would take an AoO so I put Grendel in D12.

Goblins: 15
Tannithil: 14

There is a cry from within the building that sounds like ‘Zarongel!’ and then a bolt of fire hurtles forth from the open doorway towards Tannithil.

ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 Vs touch AC damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

On the rooftop, the veiled goblin fighting Xargin backs away withdraw action, no AoO towards the other edge of the roof, then scrambles head first down the wall with no apparent effort, disappearing out of sight in the low space underneath the building.

Xargin and Haelynn.

Map.

Male Human Fighter / 3

Top of the huts to the ground wouldn't be more than 10ft right?

Taken aback at the sudden withdrawal of the unusual goblin, Xargin hesitates a moment before moving towards a goblin he knows is down on the ground level.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 Jump down to H14 and attack g6

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 1 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Female Aasimar (musetouched/tian-min) Oracle (life) 1

Seeing a goblin near Marc, and close to her fallen sister, Haelynn begins moving towards them.

She will move to H16 to place herself between Yumiko and the goblin.

Haelynn moves to stand at the top of the ladder, guarding her fallen sister If Haelynn has any spells or channel ability left for today she may wish to use it to try to get Yumiko back in the fight …

Touch and go whether it would be less than ten feet- the houses are up on stilts, with their floor levels approximately 5 feet above the ground. But I suppose goblin houses would have low roofs, so I’ll give you ten feet at the roof edge.

Xargin vaults off the roof, landing on his feet in the mud, and attempts to strike at the goblin on the ground, but the little beastie dodges out of the way.

The goblin sees that it is surrounded, and, screeching with false bravado, flails wildly at Xargin with its dogslicer. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

The goblin in front of Tannithil attacks the elven samurai with his makeshift sword. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

The goblin inside the building holds a flaming torch, which it waves angrily and tries to thrust through the doorway into Tannithil’s chest. 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12 damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Tannithil, Yumiko, Grendel, Marc.

Male Human Fighter / 3

Tannithil whirls around, dodging the attacks aimed at him, and then launches his own attack at the goblin in front of him g7

Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 1 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6

Male Halfling Rogue (Scout)/1

Grendel curses as his target disappears, eager to get himself into the fight, but not wanting to get caught right in the middle of things. He jumps from the roof onto the walkway at F9 and then scurries closer to the action, looking for an opportunity to strike.

Double move to K9

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

I know there would be some pretty major penalties on the stealth check, so even with that role I acknowledge it may not be successful!

Surrounded by ramshackle buildings, appearing and disappearing goblins, goblins scuttling down walls like spiders and flame bolts flying out of buildings, Marc shakes his head.

'Time to return some semblance of order to this chaos!' he mutters, before swinging his lucerne hammer at the goblin before him.

Attacks Goblin 7, flanking:

lucerne hammer: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7 damage: 1d12 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Before Yumiko takes her 'turn' it would be good to get some clarification from Haelynn about whether she intends to try to heal her sister ...

Marc's hammer crashes into the wall above the goblin's head. The momentary distraction allows Tannithil to run it through.

Yeah, you’ll take a -15 penalty for moving faster than half your speed and for moving from cover to cover - and you are effectively not hiding from anyone who has direct line of sight to you. Can you also make a perception check for Grendel?

Actually, goblin 7 is critically injured but not yet down.

Female Aasimar (musetouched/tian-min) Oracle (life) 1

If there is no immediate danger, Haelynn will use channel energy to heal Yumi again.

There doesn't appear to be any immediate danger.

Female Aasimar (musetouched/tian-min) Oracle (life) 1

Haelynn calls on the power of the Eternal Rose to heal her fallen sister.

Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 4

A beauteous wave of healing energy emanates outwards from Haelynn, healing hero and goblin alike. Everyone within 30 feet of Haelynn is healed 4 hit points. This probably stabilises some of the dying goblins but won’t get any of them back to their feet.

Does that healing bring Yumiko to 0 hit points?

Still on -3.

I thought you were on -7 when Haelynn healed you for 3 with cure light wounds, which should have gotten you to -4?

No you're right, I missed Haelynn's healing before. Now on 0 hp

Yumiko gasps and rolls over, assessing the situation. "Us's thanks my sospital sister. Us's felt wretchedly irredivivous." she mutters.

She crawls over to I-17 (move) and gets ready to ping 'goblin 4' if he breaks cover next round (not a readied action, as I'm staggered on 0 hp).

When Grendel dashed past the doorway, he failed to notice the goblin lurking in the shadows within – a goblin who now creeps out behind him and attempts to stab him in the back!

Sneak attack (vs flat footed AC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 damage: 1d4 - 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) - 1 + (4) = 5

Crit confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 (min 1 damage if that hits)
