Probably because summoning is not so easy, you still have to be close by or use remote services, and spirits don't like being exploded.
But yeah, Paddy intends to use them as planters of charges at least.
Mr fixer said decker with a Surveillance drone. I have never played a rigger but I told him I can read up and make one if it would be better than a decker. What would you all prefer? And are we limited to the availability of 12? Or can I get a rating 3 control rig if you prefer rigger?

Actually you can play a Decker that uses the deck to control a drone or two. The Control Rig from my understanding is only needed for Jumping In... Or it might simply give a bonus to controlling a Vehicle/Drone.

I was reading previous board entries. I was wondering do you think I should recalculate my drones and use the arsenal entries that they were talking about like the armor? And should I change from the alpha Control Rig R2 and go to standard Rig R3 and deal with the big essence loss?
Take the R3, it's probably worth it. Down the road, you can get an Alpha or Beta version of it, and have an essence hole to get some other goodies. Cerebral enhancement.

TM Riggers don't work so good...
Tm rigger works fine out of combat. In combat drones not so much unless they task sprites to jump in.
granted, my experiences with...matrix stuff is all 2nd hand, but it was agreed amongst those in the know in 4th ed that the best rigger anyone had ever seen amongst my old group was a technomancer.
Thanks, I took your advice and the RCC being able to slave so many drones and run the audiosofts for all dones by running on the RCC makes the standard rigger a better choice for me since drones and vehicles are my main focus. I am really looking forward to teaming up with you all.

As long as he doesn't try to chew on my drones, eat my upholstery , or use a tire as a play toy we will be good. I tend to meld into the backround. I like being in the shade not the bright lights.
BC was just upset with the previous rigger because she reminded him of the alchemist that got him killed in a different life.

Easy enough go get, if it can haul a weapon or armor it can haul that. Cheap depends on who's Nuyen we are spending. And my bones are brittle no jumping me. And would you want to be facing the wrong directly with a large troll behind you?
