Ok, so I bought 12K worth of Autosofts at 4K per. :) Apparently they were 2K per, so I'll go spend the difference on other stuff. :) Probably more autosofts I couldn't get the first time.
Do you need a Rigger Command Console if you have a Control Rig?

Yes, you need a VCR and a RCC. The VCR lets you jack directly into a vehicle and drive it directly. The RCC lets you jack into it, and then control anything it's linked to. So basically, when I'm in the cocoon in the GMC, the GMC is a drone hard-wired into the RCC, and all the drones (including the steel lynx in the cargo area) are remote drones. I can have upto 18 drones slaved to my RCC at once, and issue commands to any subset or all of them with the same action (so 'Go to GPS location Blah' or 'Attack target blah', or detail 2 to follow person A, and then next action 2 to follow person B, etc.
I can also jump from one drone to another in the network without logging out of one drone first. So that makes things easier.

So a VCR is a Direct Hardlink with a RCC being a Remote Link. Guess that explains why the Decker in my IRL group only has a single full on Combat Drone with the rest obeying a set of pre-programmed orders.

I could theoretically put the RCC in my head, just like you can put a deck in your head, but that would be more essence cost, and I want to save that for other things down the road when I have more money.

Nah, I just don't want you guys waiting on me. With family stuff and the way work's going ie busy, busy,busy, I couldn't really commit to getting my character in the shape I'd want before mid-week.
With the problems I am having with Word and Excel have been acting up on my laptop we probably won't start the actually run, and maybe even the meeting, until next Friday.

You might like one of these excel sheets, 1st one at least seems to work pretty well and speed up character creation a bit.

Ah, hmm, the biggest problem I'd have is access from work. I know I can get to Paizo, not sure about this place, I'm betting it's on work filters.
And supposedly the sheet works really well in Libre Office/Open Office Calc.

I do know it has excellent organization. You can literally have a thread for each run that is easily accessible.

You can't use Adobe Reader to edit it though. :( I got Foxit to edit it, works pretty well, doesn't crash as much as Adobe Reader X.
She put a point of attribute points into Edge. My understanding was you could spend normal attribute points on edge. If not, then it would have been from Karma (she spent karma to raise other stats at the end, and spent more than the cost of raising edge 1 to 2.).
Ok, just read the 5th edition 'Runner Pay' section.
That's insane.
For an every day run, you get about 3 or 4 thousand. If you only get a run a month, you can't afford middle class lifestyle, much less cybernetics, vehicles, cyberdecks, etc.
The 'high pay' example was a nightmare run up against Souix Wildcat Special forces for 21K. Seriously? 21K for going up against the equivalent of magically enhanced, cybernetically enhanced, armed to the gills Seal Team 6, and it's worth 21K?
Whoever took over SR from Catalyst needs to get a clue.
I got a whole bunch of sheets thanks to one of my RL group members. And Edge is under Special Attributes. But no worries was just curious in case I missed something on your character.
Also an Interesting thing I noted was apparently there was a confirmation that you can put starting funds onto a Credstick...

But you also have to remember that those are just rough guidelines for "simple" runs.
Also the Everyday Run is like a simple B&E or such. Think of the Everyday run being like the Food Fight one. Plus it is assumed that the group will be stealing extra stuff to keep or fence for extra cash.
that's actually the base pay, before the team face gets to convince mr. Johnson of the worth of the team in such a scenario. since negotiation is appearantly applied before the multiplier for the mission (at a flat 100 nuyen per success), a face worth their money could easily turn that into between 28-30k. that's before selling the wildcats' gear (at a higher rate, cause the face should be able to do so), Or anything they would be able to get and sell (paydata, vehicles, supply caches, and so on). as always, this caveats on being about to survive to spend the money, but it does help the face role shine a bit more, since they tend to be less combat focused than other characters.
Ok, but you can't call the Wildcats a simple B&E. :) You'd lose more than 21K in drones going up against them. :)
But yeah, up to 5K from starting funds can be kept for in game (I ended up with 4K of it).

As to the edge, it apparently uses the same table as normal attributes for Karma expenditure.
Going from 1 to 2 would be 10 karma. Going from 2 to 3 (like I did with body and str) is 15 karma (each). So if you prefer I not spend that attribute point on a special attribute, I am fine with that. I'll put it in body and take back 5 karma. :)
The Wildcats wouldn't be a B&E but it might be a stealth strike where the teams Infiltrator and Decker would shine.
@mdt: It is up to you. And I mean more than the 5K. The Credstick costs 25+(whatever is on it)¥ apparently.

Just remember, us Elves are good at diplomacy and negotiations too. :) So for negotiations, I suggest Teamwork is the way to go, rather than trying to be a solo star. :)
@Fixer - LOL, I only had 4K left over at the end, I spent everything I could. :) I'd have spent more if I had it. :) All that Alpha cyberware and vehicle mods burned through cash fast.

I hate the fiddly bits. Took 1 Fly and 4 Skimmers off my character, and added two rating 3 licenses (1 for GMC and 1 for Rover), and added fake ID (rating 3) Takahasi Mei.
Oh no, I took the PR offer, that's why I had so much karma to spend. :) But the offer only bumps up the money a tiny bit. About 11%. Check the VCR rating, and the cost of an Alpha version.
Mina has an old garage out in Tacoma (Dupont). It's a high security area, AA. Paid for it in Lifestyle. She's also got a low rated garage for keeping a low profile out in Renton (Christopher), a low security area, C.

If you're trying to use the PDF I linked to, you'll need to download Foxit to use it. Just google 'Foxit PDF' and you'll find it.
Easier for magic characters as they don't need as much Nuyen to keep going, but the heavy karma costs balance it out. Also, can we get a gameplay tab up so those of us who are finished can dot it?
Yeah...one of the reasons I went Mage was because its easier than trying to track down like 100 pieces of gear with stats/costs/etc.
Much easier to just buy a handful of useful stuff, some spells, and a trunk full of explosives! :)
