Audi is tempted to grab a starfountain firework, but realizes it would be a pain in the ass to carry around. He settles for another banshee ballerina firework instead. When he sees Miro struggling with the vault he says, "Here, let me give it a try."

Right, so...what's the plan if we run into that pit fiend down there? Run I hope?
He asked casually, keeping his eyes peeled for anyone who might stumble upon them.

The heroes find the doors to be unlocked and untapped and in they go, the world seems to fold and shift and turn and they find themselves in
A long corridor extends from a pair of dull metal doors. The walls,
floor, and ceiling of this hall are paneled in gray wood, including
several empty alcoves along each wall. No source for the dim
illumination is apparent. Shadows seem to dance at the corner of
the eye in the alcoves, and a soft, barely audible whispering floats
in the air of this strange place. What appears to be a slumpedover
corpse dressed in tattered robes lies heaped on the floor
between the closest alcoves.

"Pretty sure I run faster than Miro. Yeah, if we see a pit fiend, we run. I'll be jacking my jaw loudly while we do!"
When the corpse does not move, Audi suggested "I can have a look at it and see if its dead."

"Maybe. Also might have been another of our fellow party guests. Maybe someone snatched him, dragged him in here and murdered him. They might have even been hoping to frame us. Would make a helluva opera don't you think." Nonetheless, Audi heeds Miro's caution and pulls out the faithful chair leg that he uses as a club.

I dont recall too much of my studies on magic, Miss Tarvi speaks of wanting to learn about it, but any clue what sort of scrolls they are?

I am back. Sorry I have been silent so long. Between the baby and work, my life has been very hectic. If I am not with them, I will begin looking for them. If I am with them then I will pack mule for the group. Let me know what the decision is.

Glad to have you back, good thing you werent about for the party, or you too would have been drawn into a duel, goodness knows I was gonna sell you up to the noble ladies *eyebrow waggle* Lawls
I wish Hippa were here, Im sure she could figure those scrolls out, You think she is getting the grounds set for our little bar set up?
The tall noble wondered still trying to keep his eyes peeled. Whatever had killed the scroll carrying fellow might still be about after all.
Hippa had to wander off somewhere right? I mean I would totally trust her to get the business up and running ... i think.

I think she's in long-term recovery from her injuries. Btw, she would have had to UMD them too. None of those spells are on the Adept list. This sort of thing is where the NPC classes start to limit us (but we're not far from class levels!)

This wood-paneled hall rises to a height of twenty feet above,
and a single fifteen-foot-high shelf filled sparsely with books

of polished black stone.
