Regardless of who the man was, Tramtris for the moment decided to be the merciful guest. My good sir, You have mistaken me for the waiting staff, no worries mistakes occur, if I see a tray of food I will have it sent your way as soon as the bearer my carry it. He answered with a genuine enough smile.

Auði Jaw-Jacker |

Audi steps in and adds, "Yes sir. I think one of those obsequious little halflings is about to come by with some of those crustinis and caviar. Sir, I have heard that you are quite an accomplished officer. Perhaps you could tell us something of one of your campaigns, misguided Andoran privateers or those murdering pirates of the Shackles?"

He was listening to the general buy only half so until he mentioned a pit fiend. He raised an eyebrow at that. While he didnt exactly think it was a bold faced lie, they were in Cheliax where such things were not unheard of he just... This was the first time he had heard of it and he was sure he would have by now.
A pit fiend? that would be an interesting battle general, perhaps one day something could be arranged though.. can you imagine battling wits with such a powerful being. He waved for one of the servants carrying drinks to approach taking one and offering the general one as well.
I tried to join the military right out of the academy, my parents would have nothing of it, of course. Still, wow, a pitfiend.
He glanced over to Audi and made a slight raise of his eyebrow. If there were indeed such creatures of doom and danger beneath this place sneaking down later to do that puzzle and retrieve that item for that damnable pathfinder lady might be much tougher than he thought.
bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 trying to sound interested and very sycophant like

He raised an eyebrow at that.
Oh then I suppose all the conscripted soldiers are real then, how well would you perform against the Andoran's or the Taldens without them I wonder. Probably as well as you would against a pit fiend. But I digress. A good thing Im not in 'your' army then with delusions of granduer such as that. Good day General I find myself bored with your talk.
He said drinking the rest of his drink and stalking off in typical whiny nobleman fashion.

A question? are you unsure of what an insult is? I was merely stating a fact as I saw it my good general. To think one is an equal to supernatural powers is folly. Though i suppose a man as celebrated as you would have as good a chance as any. If you took insult I cry your pardon.
He said wrenching himself free from the man and proffering a bow before turning away once more.

Tramtris, wasteful son of house Arvanxi, we will meet tomorrow at noon in the square where we shall settle this like men.
He throws down his glove and awaits the reply, as in any school yard, Tram quickly finds a circle around the two, all that is needed is someone to shout fight, even the mayor is watching.

![]() |

I am to assume that dueling is a perfectly acceptible form of solving differences I suppose?
He threw his hands up in the air theatrically.
You dropped your glove sir.

MiniGM |

yup, there will be rules of course
1d20 ⇒ 8 perform comedy
Tram's joke is met with only groans
The Mayor steps forward.
General the challenge has been noted, I give you my word that this young man will meet you on the morrow. I know you have pressing matters to attend to
The general allows a servant to retrieve his glove and bows to the mayor and leaves.
It takes a while for the commotion to die down but before long people are back at it.
A gorgeous human woman approaches Tram in the aftermath.
Ah just like a Arvanxi, cocky and haughty, I hope it doesn't get that pretty face of yours messed up.
She purrs
I saw you in the play, I do not think you are a match for that one.

He glanced upwards torwards the sky with a sigh.
I saw that going better in my mind. Oh well no sense in worrying really.
He muttered as he was approached by a very beautiful woman, of house Wiscrani if he want mistaken. Knowing his luck at the moment he probably was mistaken. But what the hells.
Well the play was suppsed to be a deathtrap and i managed to survive that, albeit with some colorful new scars perhaps the general might underestimate me eh?
He said to her politely trying to remember her name. So much for the betterment of the city.

Its bad luck to stand next to the condemmed lady Chamady, although I appreciate the view of beauty the night before my death.
He said dryly though with a smirk. Indeed He didnt think things would go all that great in the morning, but what could he do about it now?
diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 2 + 5 = 25 Add another +1 for the charming trait if its possible she might find Tramtris attractive
Tell me Lady Chamady, how may I serve you this fine evening?
He added with his best smile.

![]() |

Well the line between bravery and foolhardy acts is thin, often times it depends on the outcome. If i were to say, win tomorrow a brave man I will be, lose and a fool.
He shrugged and looked about with another sigh. He would have to find parchement and ink and send his apologies to miss Tarvi and the others.
It seems the Die roller has taken a dislike to me, oh the wells :) Quick question on the duel, so like he chose the time and place do i choose the weapons? Can i send word for another place? just weighing my options here.

Auði Jaw-Jacker |

"Lady Chamady, if there has ever been a young noble to straddle the line between fool and brave just so...that would be our Tram. It is a pleasure to see you this evening. Is it the play or other business with the mayor that brings you here this evening?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (19) + 18 = 37

Miro Took |

Miro does slip off, sensing his kind are likely to get a kick to the head when the big folks start gathering like this.Hmmm...I'll see if I can double strength his Lordship's drinks. If he is too smashed to fight properly, or just sick to his gut, Tram can get out of this with just a light scarring.

Craft-Alchemy, a little extra wallop for the General's evening nightcap: 1d10 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22

Exxor |

Exxor remains in the back, fortunately the overinflated ego of nobles (Tram is not included in the this sentiment!) and navy officers give him plenty of places to hide, but little room to move.
He will try to pick up on the message between Miro and Audi.
Bluff: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
And looks at Audi expectantly...

MiniGM |

well at this point up to you guys we can fast forward to after the dinner or we can meet more folks, that seems to have slowed and I don't know that anyone will top Tram getting challenged to a duel. I will bring in one more person you want to talk to
An elder man in flowing robes with peacocks arrives
remember first person to roll is the check.

Auði Jaw-Jacker |

Audi sidles up to Eirtin Oberigo, "Sir, I had no idea you were coming this evening. Did you perchance see the Trials of Lazarod just recently?"

I think we might have a few tidbits to trade, but need to decide if now is the time or if we're better off making the acquaintance now and trading later.

Auði Jaw-Jacker |

I have things I'm willing to trade, but nothing I can think of that I want (that would be worth the value of my information). If others have suggestions, I'm open to making them.
"Heartwarming. Yes, of course. The belly was quite warming. The egg I'm thinking may have been more heartburning."

Auði Jaw-Jacker |

"Oh, one definitely hears a few things around this manor and of course Westcrown is always full of interesting politics. There might be an interesting tale or three...let me think." Audi pauses for a moment and considers his options. "I have heard of course a few things about this very manor. Most interesting." He looks over to Tram who seems to be delayed in joining the latest discussion, "And of course there is the general's soon to be dueling partner. As a fellow actor, I might have picked up a few things that might help you decide how that might turn out. Then of course there are the stories of some of the more criminal elements of the city...the theatre seemed to be rife with tales about that." He pauses again and looks more closely at the man, "But you must surely know many things yourself. Perhaps a tale for a tale. What do you think?"
