"No, you didn't know. Relax, we'll get you out of here somehow." He gestures to Tramtris, "Don't worry about covering the door, just tip that table in front of it. Be quick about it and let's see if there is another way out."
Diplomacy to calm the kid 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
Are there any doors to the back that might lead to an alley or back room?

"Not a bad idea that, come Halfer lets block the door up some." The noble began hurrying to a table to move it to half bar the door. "It would have been perhaps wiser to inform us of the hellknights... desire to arrest you prior to this point Miss Janivan." The noble began a bit pointedly. There was nothing for it now. The reputation of the hellknights certainly left him no doubt that they would torture them long before freeing them of any wrongdoing. Another of the City's many ills.
If we somehow survive, I will see that you recieve recompense Barkeep...assuming they dont flay you as well just becuase we happened to dine here. He added starting to push the the table to the door.

Stay calm Morosino. Janivan replies and between Audi and her Morosino relaxes a bit
Morosino show them where the trap door is into the sewers, we will make our way out through there. Janivan replies as she bolts the door.
Then to Tram Arael and I own the bar, he is just part of the cause. He will be our cover story. We must move quickly the order of the Rack is not to be trifled with.
| Hippa |
"Right. Taking back my coin, keep the tankard." Hippa sends Suki a fear signal of big predator: all are prey. and thinks no more of her tabby, knowing the cat could take care of herself. Grabbing the fetish-laden spear, she is ready to follow the barkeep to refuge, although this might all be a well-rehearsed ruse thus far.
Brannock Galdarg

Brannock waits by the door. "Go, I will come last in case they get to the door before we leave."
Brannock grabs a chair, breaks a leg off (strength: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14), whips out his axe and shaves enough off the bottom of the leg to create a jam. He will then jam it under the door, assuming he is successful. If time permits, he will also then grab a table and jam its edge under the door handle.

You heard the lady, if our friend over here wishes to be the last one through the door thats fine, I suppose i shall accompany the van, In case their is trouble. Lets go." He said following the boy hoping he remained calm enough to get them to the hidden exit in time to avoid... complications.
"Are their any lamps we can use in this bar? I did not expect to be traipsing through waste this morning."
| Sevros Kalaris |
Sevros sends a mental projection to his familiar. "Mr Corvus, get clear."
"Picking a fight with the rack will bring a quick end to our cause. Let's get out of here. "

"There's a helpful man." remarks Auði as Brannock demolishes the chair. Auði picks up one of the other legs and tests its weight. "Looks like the hellknights have other plans about how we start helping the city. Sewers have a reputation all their own. Glad a couple of you look like you know your way around a weapon." Auði follows Morosino toward the trap door sparing a last bit of advice for the bartender "Good luck, they're never fun to deal with, but keep your cool. They love to try getting under your skin...especially that bastard they call The Badger. Hope we see you again soon."

I am waiting until everyone is through except the barkeep, and then I will follow.
| Hippa |
Hippa would have jumped fearlessly, er, clambered down into the dimmed escape tunnel and cast light upon her boar staff. So the tall folk could see.
| Sevros Kalaris |
Sevros will help guide people into the trap door then he slides in before Brannock.
Quickly, let's not press our luck.
| Hippa |
Looking into the darkness on three sides, then upwards the ladder to the likely locked trapdoor, "Either this was a trap or it will be. I am going to up our odds of survival small bit." At her eye level alongside the ladder in the stonework, she whispers and traces a briefly glowing arcane mark. "Vizio's". If you know where to look we might be able to find our way back." A raised eyebrow at her audience, "Who gets to be first in the shadows? With big strong men here, it won't be me. I vote straight and now. I believe it is better to move fast possibly wrong rather than right and too late."
Brannock Galdarg

Once everyone is down the trapdoor, Brannock will move to toward the front of the party.
Brannock pats the small boy on the shoulder as he passes through the party."Everything will be fine. We will lead you to safety."
To the rest of the party he says,"Let me go ahead a little ways with no light, we do not want to attract unwanted attention if we can help it. If the Hellknights follow, call out so I will know.
Tramtris Arvanxi

"Well then, I suppose there is nothing left but to get moving." He began making a slight face, He would indeed follow slightly behind the half-orc pausing every so often to make sure and take a count not wanting to lose anyone to the darkness here.

From above the following is heard. I know they came in here. There must be a secret passage out. Find it. Probably behind the bar!
------
We have to move now. Watch for symbols of the sword of Iomadae, the point will send us in the correct direction to Arael and my safe house. I just hope all of them are still there. It will not be long before the Hellknights find the door now.
Janivan points to a symbol on the wall and lets Brannock lead the way...
do you want to send someone ahead then let them come back, this will slow you down considerably.
| Sevros Kalaris |
"Mr Brannock, if you could lead ahead and wait for us if we need to turn, that might be good. Whatever we do, let's get moving quickly. He looks around the group with a nod.
Let's find ourselves in a safe place with better odor soon.
Brannock Galdarg
|
"Let me move about 20-30 feet ahead of the party and then follow. I will keep an eye out for the symbols and stop at junctions. Call out if you need me to turn back."
Brannock moves forward 20-30 feet ahead of the light then stops to let his eyes adjust to the dark. He then begins walking down the path, searching for the symbol Janivan told him to keep an eye out for. He pulls out his throwing axe and unlimbers his shield.
Brannock has darkvision 90ft.

Other than the fungi, do I see anything else? I also would like to stop a second and try to listen for any noise down the corridor.

Brannock sees nothing else but he does hear the sounds of clinking armor...though with the echoes in the sewers it is hard to say where they come from the hell knights could be around the corner or far off they easily could have gone the wrong way the first time but made their way back
Tramtris Arvanxi

Well that wont help us escape un-noticed. Let's move, and perhaps we should move together since we just left a bit of a beacon behind us shall we?" He suggested gripping the haft on his haldberd a bit tighter. "At least the slighty tighter quarters can help prevent us from being surrounded eh?" He added to no one in particular.
| Sevros Kalaris |
Sevros is clearly taken off guard when the screaming begins. He flinches, raising his walking stick with both hands above his head while crouching down as if blocking an overhead strike.
"Damn it!" He shouts, embarrassed about his reaction as he runs with the others to get past the shriekers.
"Well, hopefully that will be a clear alert if anyone is following us. Hopefully we don't encounter more of those. I nearly wet my pants..."
Brannock Galdarg
|
Brannock hands Sevros a rag.
"The noble has the right of it. Let's keep moving together and quickly. Do you want me to carry the boy or can he keep up?"
Tramtris Arvanxi
|
(to brannock) "That must have been had to say I bet. Speaking of carrying though, Little one You could half clamber on my back if it meant we can get our of these sewers faster and away from the hellknights to think, my mother tried to convince me to become on of them." He said looking at Hippa as he mentioned the carrying.
| Hippa |
As soon as the shrooms have faded out of sight, Hippa pauses. Knowledge Nature 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 She inscribes another arcane rune onto the wall: "Shrooms". "I'd like to come back and collect some samples and spores. Noisy useful things."
Although this took only a moment, she rushes to catch up and keep pace.
Speaking of carrying though, Little one You could half clamber on my back if it meant we can get our of these sewers faster and away from the hellknights to think, my mother tried to convince me to become on of them." He said looking at Hippa as he mentioned the carrying.
These words are heard with a poker face. "Not yet tall one. I'll hustle until necessity dictates otherwise."
| MiniGM |
Joppa knows that these mushrooms cause a clamor anytime light or movement is within 10 feet and creatures often associate the sound with food nearby. She also know how to harvest them.
As if on cue 4 goblins come charging from in front out our heroes.
[rolling init bad gues will go first as a group then you guys]
Sorry I won't be able to get the baddies on the map till tomorrow morning [/ooc]
| Auði Jaw-Jacker |
Auði puts one hand up to his ear and does his best to cover the other with the hand holding the club/torch and he rushes past the shriekers. He slides to a halt as the goblins appear ahead. "Out of the frying pan and into the fire, eh? Always heard there were nasty things lying around down here...or maybe jumping around."

Not surprising there are goblins in this festering stinkole! Brannock charges forward!
