I can understand why musicians have been working on Christmas music well in advance, you need time to rehearse. But it is nowhere near time to start celebrating yet!

More like scampering around with the distance students having an on-campus day - spent 5 hours with them yesterday, they're lovely. But the lecturer in charge of that module (and its on-campus equivalent) has gone to India on a government jolly, so I have to give the lecture this afternoon.

Sorry to have been quiet - was taken ill in church and ended up in hospital, OK now but one of dearly beloved's clients has server problems & he needs transporting up there to fix it. Ought to be back here Wednesday if not before.

Glad you're OK now. Hope it wasn't anything too serious.

Holy COW! Been reading my "City of Strangers" Sourcebook...! Kaer Maga is as varied and detailed as Korvosa... and in some ways... FAR MORE Dangerous to the casual traveler!

I would have had Ashe who has been here before {not in the course of THIS game.. but in back story}... made some more direct warnings about wandering the city to some of the party members... but my last post was long enough anyways!

Wow.. Kaer Maga IS a CN city of formalized Anarchy! You could run whole campaigns out of this place!! Glad we are only staying here briefly... NOT a city for a Paladin!

It's not THAT bad. Characters of our level would have to go looking for trouble for there to be any reasonable chance of finding something they couldn't handle.

But yeah, its well set up as a home for an entire campaign, with LOTS of strange people and groups to interact with. Even a reasonable amount of published material to kick start such a campaign.

I was more referring to the fact that Undead roam freely in the streets... used as porter and servants for owners! THAT I think would drive our resident fairly fanatical Rogue{Knifemaster}/ Evangelist of PHARASMA into some murderous rants! :)

It would be a fun location for an urban campaign, or at least an adventure or two... but you lot have a mission to accomplish so we'd better not linger too long.

Just a note that I finally updated Garridan as I said I would. Nothing really major. He is now Ranger 6/Horizon Walker 3 and a Divine Tracker of Desna. Some minor changes in purchases (I had to sell some stuff to afford the horse and then got carried away :-)).

Added a bit to his family history (basically identified who his Shoanti grandfather was)

The info on his page should be up to date.

This item looks like an ordinary beaker, bottle, container, decanter, flask, or jug. It may contain a liquid, or it may emit smoke. When the flask is first unstoppered, all within 30 feet must make a DC 17 Will save or be cursed, taking a -2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks until a remove curse spell is cast upon them.

We camped for a bit while some of the party were in the city. Now we are on the road again heading away from the city to the Cinderlands.

@ Megan - The Flask of Curses was taken from Davaulus as loot from him, it was "labeled" when we found it as 'Elixer of True Healing'. At the time that did not sound like anything any of the party had heard of... so we took it to be identified and it was revealed as a cursed item.

Hey all. I'm finding that as the new year gets underway, I need to trim back a few games. Since there is such a large group in this one, I think I can drop without having an impact to the rest of you. For those playing in Megan's Carrion Crown and Legacy of Fire games, I will keep on in those and if you ever find yourselves in a spot where you do need to add more players to this one, PM me or post in Discussion in one of those games and if my situation has changed, I'll see about hopping back in.

Sorry folks - had some very bad days last week.

Wednesday someone ran into my car in a supermarket parking lot. I'm OK but the car is wrecked, probably beyond economic repair. He and his insurers have accepted full liability, fortunately, so a hire car has been provided at their expense.

Friday I got back into work - and promptly fell flat on my face. Literally. Blood everywhere. Got carted off in an ambulance to the local ER. Fortunately I checked out OK but look a real mess.

Normal service will be resumed shortly.

Just a heads up. I am posting this in all my games, so you may see it more than once.

I am leaving for a cruise at 2am on March 5th. I'll be on the road all night and arriving at the ship midday. I won't have internet access til sometime the night of the 5th... For the next 2 weeks, I will have spotty internet (wifi at sea isn't the best), and I'll probably only be checking in at night once a day. Please if my character needs to take action between my own posts, GM feel free to bot me as necessary.

Ship returns to port on March 19th, and I will resume normal posting on the 20th.
