Or... To be more helpful - Balor possessed a member of the Busted Flushes, but neither Dane nor Manannan were known to be involved in that, and the general sense of things is that Balor was very much in the driver's seat, and hadn't been caught.
Does that clear anything up? Or am I just misunderstanding what you're getting at?
Balor. She meant Balor had been associated with the Flushes a couple times

Shayera decided to go with her gray skirt and matching blouse that she wore at Bronwyn's track meet. The hat and light blue scarf seemed like they would be appropriate attire at her destination. She spared one last glance at the piles of clothes that had been tried and discarded before realising she had no more time left.
She gave herself one more once-over in the mirror before activating the magic in her charm. The fashionable ensemble faded and her wings reappeared along with her flying outfit of khakis and black tank top. She then headed to her balcony and dove off.
St. Ambrose was easy to spot from the air, with its high steeple and adjacent cemetery. She circled the Catholic church once before spotting a nearby lot with high fencing crawling with ivy. She dropped out of the sky aiming for the secluded area. She stretched her senses to listen for any sign she'd been seen, then tested the wrought iron gate to make sure she could get out without using her wings. It creaked, but was otherwise functional.
A quick change aided by her magic charm later, Shayera was walking to the front steps of St. Ambrose. Her heart began thudding especially hard the moment she was spotted by the churchgoers congregating around her. Some barely acknowledged her, while others greeted her with a smile and good morning.
She smiled and politely waved back to those who spoke to her. She tilted her broad-rimmed hat back to let her senses stay on alert for signs of Bronwyn, and tried to tamp down on her rising nervousness.
She climbed the steps up to stand next to the great columns at the entrance and stood, smoothing her skirt to keep from wringing her hands. Her nervousness still was apparent, because a well-dressed elderly gentleman approached her. "Welcome and peace be with you," he said in a rich baritone.
Shayera turned with a start. "Oh! Thank you. And, um, peace with you too," she said, not used to the greeting he used and uncertain if that's the appropriate response.
The old man grinned and inclined his head. "And thank you. You're visiting for the first time, right?"
Shayera nodded her head. "Yes, but I'm... hoping to meet someone here."
"Well, you've met someone already," the man said as he extended his hand. "Salvador Alvarez."
Shayera shook it. "Li Xiu Ying. But I'm--" she stopped herself when she realized the man was playing a jest. She smiled. "Well, you got me. But I am looking for someone specifically. She goes to church here."
"Ah," Mr. Alvarez rocked back on his heels. "That's good, then. It's always nice to see members of our congregation inviting young people to church."
Shayera's smile faded somewhat. "Yeah, well, I'm not really invited. Me being here is sort of a surprise. I mean, I heard she wants me to be here, but she didn't ask me directly. So I hope it'll be a good surprise."
He chuckled. "I'm sure it will be. Who--" His easy smile waned and a glimmer of suspicion touched his eye. "Who is she?"
Shayera caught his look. "Oh, don't worry. I'll spot her," she said, turning away from him and watching the people arriving.
Meant to be more explicit in the ooc tags, but Kaoru's cut off from the team for now unless he does something to change that.
Balor's corruption generally manifests more physically than mentally in living beings - he bosses monsters around and starts cults through your classic diabolic deals and dreadful majesty :-)
Not that I wouldn't believe it if Alexandra wanted a taste ;-p
ah, I was thinking, given he was a demon/king/god/whatever of famine (among other things) Horror Hunger might be appropriate.

He could probably do that, but it wouldn't be a casual side effect. I'll wait for K's hacking decision since that changes what I've got to play with in the room... >:-)

Unless Mercy has another beat that feels important I'd consider the Penthouse escaped (and with Balor no longer able to take an active hand in corrupting Abacus the cleanup can probably be handled without rolls).
I know Wing's been rattling around with that church scene I've been sitting on, (and ideally Bran wants to talk to Alexis about his cavalier attitude towards personal mutilation)...
The next Scene won't be til after school some day next week, so if other people have moments they want to make sure to hit we can work out what the important timing is.

Btw, most likely neither Whip nor Wingblade would know that Kaoru is "Apocalypse". It's not something Delphi would have brought up or just casually spread around, and Pinky is actively helping hide that connection.
I know. It was, however, used as the code for Wingblade to make contact with Kaoru.
So, that's why Wingblade used that as the title for her file.

I just want to publicly apologize for overstepping my bounds here. I didn't communicate properly with Bran about things happening in PM. It's my fault for not communicating effectively and I'm 100% on board for the RetCon.
I got impatient and screwed up because of it. I'm sorry for acting out of turn and causing bad feelings all around.

Planning on pushing forward tonight if there's nothing more for this scene. That said, it'll be mainly into a mini-downtime thing - (that church scene Stal started in Discussion a month+ ago for example!)
If later we want to flashback to this point though, that's fine by me :-)

Yeah, I was a little confused as to why Bran was asking for an exit. I figured what made the most sense is if Kaoru didn't know they were ferried down.

Kaoru, Overseer Innis would like a word. What means does he normally use to contact the team leader? Will they work while you're convalescing?
Mercy, with as disconnected as you've been feeling, are you doing anything special with school starting up again? Or is there a routine that helps restore a sense of normalcy?
Alexandra - You've been feeling disaffected with how things have gone for the team recently, what are some ways your father or sister have figured out that you've been seeking other counsel? Or if not, what lengths have you had to go to to avoid that?
No idea. He probably doesn't have one (or hasn't given it to Kaoru) as otherwise he probably would have used it at the gala. Also, Kaoru still doesn't actually know who Innis is since Alexandra never actually answered his question before getting distracted by Chloe. His best bet for getting in contact with Kaoru would be to find and contact another team member and get them to deliver a message or something. Though he will also probably soon have a report on the Balor event on his desk. How well he's able to read it is an entirely different matter though... 0:-)
The current plan for Mercy is to push themselves to patrol. Then go to see the doctor. They don't want to go to school right now because they don't want to be seen as a boy right now.
They might head to their old campground to take out some frustrations on the rope bound tree they had used before joining the team. Exercise is always therapeutic for them.
Has anybody heard from Cassie? It occurs to me that now that I've finally gotten Kaoru beat up, I really want a dating profile scene.
'Fraid not. For now I think the better part of valor is backgrounding Cassie (and Circe?). We don't need her to disappear or anything; it would be very easy for her to decide that spending so much time as Hex is weakening her veil though.

I don't know where this whole "I need a report" is coming from. It's already been dropped off by Chloe. Maybe it just hasn't made it through their levels of bureaucracy?
Well, I missed that line. Sorry. But I can definitely envision a USB drive having to go through some security checks before it's uploaded. So we can say it just hasn't reached his desk yet.
Oh, it can't be uploaded. One of the security measures Kaoru built-in is that the report can't be copied from the USB or printed; you have to physically have the device. Maybe that's slowing it down? There are also a number of other "security features" he included.

I would expect that if the SCA can't put their own security system on it, then it's not getting to Innis anytime soon. :)
Innis being slightly out of touch and peevish is a feature not a bug :-p
I've got an advancement coming from that miss. I think I'll go with having Innis lose influence over me, and I get to add +1 to a label.

I'm starting to angle towards Kaoru getting healing via Cassie-style dating profile questionnaire. If anybody has suggestions for possible questions for him to be asked, feel free to PM them to me.
