Haranum rushes up the stairs and sees Esdras barely holding on. He moves between Damon and K'Coro and looke between Esdras and K'Coro trying to make a decision. Finally he decides to protect Esdras.

Cast Shield on Esdras. Esdras will be AC 15 until the -2 AC from charge wears off.

Botting for Ayana and Victor

Ayana finishes ascending the stairs and surveys the room. She hefts her crossbow and fires at the albino crocodile thrashing about Esdras.

Crossbow at croc in melee, bless: 1d20 + 1 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 3 - 4 = 8
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8

The shot goes wide.

Victor steps off the stairs and into the room. He casts cause fear on the crocodile.

will save on croc: 1d20 ⇒ 7

The animal immediately takes on a different demeanor.

LG Archon Eidolon | hp 13/13 | AC 17 (23 with Shield) T 11, FF 16 (+1 Dex, +6 natural armor, +4 Shield) | CMB +5, CMD 17 | Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +3; +4 bonus vs. poison | Init: +1 | Perc: +5, SM: +5 | Speed 30ft | Damage Reduction (1/evil), Resist electricity 5, Evasion | Spells: NA | Active conditions: Darkvision 60 ft

The blood covered Eidolon gasps for breath. One eye is swollen shut, but with one good eye, the Archon looks over the childlike adventurers and knows that they would not be up to this task.

The only chance they have is the LIGHTNING OF HEAVEN.

Hymns to the Heavens wrote:
But to do good and to communicate forget not; for with such sacrifices that Amaznen made.

Righteous Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Slam damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

Esdras, the mighty hero, is now dying at -1 hps. Make sure the Archon's sacrifice was not in vain!

Esdras, covered in blood that is as much theirs as it is the enemy's, brings a fist down upon the crocodile in a fit of rage that will mean a sacrifice of pain and consciousness. The summoned entity of the heavens slumps to the floor after a resoundering wet thud and cracking sound upon the crocodile.

The crocodile, instead of further ravaging the unconscious eidolon or the other heroes, the cold-blooded albino instead scurries across the room in an attempt to place distance between it and Victor.

The following in bold may act

Esdras, shield, -1/6 hp, prone, unconscious, bleeding

Albino croc, frightened

Ayana

Quogup

K'Coro, 3 hp non-lethal hp, 1 str damage

Haranum

Liberty's Edge

Male CN Nagaji Barbarian 1 | HP 17/17 | AC 16 T 11 FF 15 (-2 AC raging) | CMD +4 | F: +3 (+5 rage), R: +1, W: +1 (+3 rage) (+2 vs. mind-affecting effects & poison) | Init: +3 | Perc: +7, SM +1 | Speed 40ft | Rage: 5/5 rounds/day | Low-light Vision

Not aware of the eidolon falling next to him, K'Coro steps forward and strikes once more at the croc, his rage causing him to focus on the one remaining threat in the room.
greatsword+bless: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 1 = 19
damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 6) + 4 = 12
2 rounds of rage left

With an overhand chop borne of the fiercest anger, K'Coro cleaves the crocodile into a mashed and slice did mess, the alabaster hue of its genetic nature now a shredded mess of red and purple. Due to the nature of the great sword attack, the rare hide of the beast will not yield much for leatherwork, perhaps enough for belts or toques or the equivalent for everyone.

Amid the noise, Quogup notes movement from the stairway on the floor below. He sees with his eyes that pierce the darkness another reptilian who looks upward with an expression that might be interpreted as shock.

Draconic:
That gurgled scream, Trasskar went and got himself killed? Oh hell no, this invasion plan went south real quick; there aren't enough silky furred crotch garments in all the upper world worth THIS!

The reptilian rasps and growls, then drops its weapons and other handheld items and flees down the stairs as quickly as it can go.

Searching among the items on the reptilian vanquished on the top floor, the heroes find a magical cloak. They then descend to the fourth floor where they find amid the dimishing stench left behind by the retreating reptilian a key to locked door on that floor. Inside there is a captive human who introduces himself as Balenar Forsend of the Pathfinder Society. He explains that he came here to the Fallen Fortress a few days before you arrived and did not inform anyone at the Grand Lodge of his excursion. In his hubris, he thought it clever to explore the newly opened siege tower as quickly as possible and reap the accolades of his bravery. Sadly, he notes, he underestimated being outnumbered and overwhelmed by the troglodytes that came from the stairs underground but became trapped when aftershocks sealed the lower stairs. They tortured him mercilessly for days and he is grateful for the rescue by other Pathfinders.

Balenor warns you that there is another room on this floor that houses another of the troglodyte leader's pets, a giant frog. He recommends that after thoroughly cataloguing and mapping the fortress, to open the door to the frog's room before leaving and running and the frog will surely leave on its own when it gets hungry.

Congratulations! We are at the end of Master of the Fallen Fortress, thank you all for playing!
