Mouse Sootscale |
Blue eyes go wide at the display of power this Niadroub and his Waffles just made. Teleporting! "Scales and tails" she exclaimed quietly.
At the suggestion of riding, With Another (like a child), Mouse leans to the balls of her feet, looking down as she wiggles her bare toes. "Feet were meant for walking, if that be okay with you?" a pause then adds "Mine, I mean." to say she has nothing against others riding of course.
Horses are simply so big, and loud, and never could fit in a proper tunnel, and they smell, and they bite, and have huge clompy feet that can crush toes, and... her mind goes on a bit on ALL their flaws.
Since they said almost yes to becoming a swarm, she attempts to mark them with her gifts, which just means doing so then staying close.
Honestly I have no idea what it takes to mark people as her crop for her bellflower abilities, other than it saying it takes a standard action and she has to stay within 30 feet until next level which will make it 60.

Niadroub finds that the Sootscales are very positive about Mouse. Describing her as properly 'Sneaky & loyal.'. Telling him stories of her courage and skills that she used in defense of the tribe until she left to find her Halfling family.
Mouse left before the trouble really got intense with the Mites, and Tartuk started dominating the tribe.
Vibenia finds Niadroub's horse friendly and affectionate, giving her no problems as she returns it to the stables. :)
As members of the Rulers adventuring party you have no problems strolling into the council chamber to see Colwyn. Who looks relieved to see you and have a break from the duties of being a leader.
He looks envious as you tell him you are ready to set off and deal with Armag reborn. Welcoming Mouse to the team with a friendly smile. It seems he still isn't bothering with being pompous and formal. :)
Anything else you wish to do or shall we get moving?
Also there are some encounter areas around Armag's tomb. Do you wish to deal with them? Monster encounters and a little loot
Niadroub Kliip |
Niadroub finds that the Sootscales are very positive about Mouse. Describing her as properly 'Sneaky & loyal.'. Telling him stories of her courage and skills that she used in defense of the tribe until she left to find her Halfling family.
Mouse left before the trouble really got intense with the Mites, and Tartuk started dominating the tribe.
Niadroub Kliip met with Mikmek, the first Sootscale kobold he, Colwyn, and the others met shortly after their first foray into the Greenbelt. Conversing in Draconic, Mikmek told what he knew of Mouse's bravery freeing her adopted kobold family from Drow slavers, her journey to try and find her halfling family, and finally her announcement that she would depart to find those who helped the Sootscales against the attacking mite colony and freed the Sootscales from the influence of Chief Sootscale and Tartuk.
Satisfied, the arcanist accepts a tour of Sootscale caverns to see how the community is doing before he teleports back to his quarters in Thornholme. He reports to Colwyn and his travelling party that the Sootscales think very highly of Mouse's skills and loyalty, and he posits that she can help when the group tackles the Tiger Lords.
Mouse Sootscale |
"Thank you, Lord Kliip and chief advisor Waffles" Mouse bows lows, mostly to hide her coloring cheeks at the praise. As she rises, she asks with some uncertainty "Um... I don't know if the titles are right, maybe Councilmen? I've not been in human lands for long enough to grasp them all yet."
The halfling has a bulging pack and a layer of road dust on her, but seems ready and willing to head out now to deal with these Tiger Lords. She imagines what manner of beasts they are, having never seen whatever a Tiger is before. "Are they large?"
I have a habit of babbling at times in posts but am always good with moving things along
Zelera |
Zelera went along with Vibenia and Mouse to see Colwyn while they waited on the now vanished Niadroub to return and grinned at Mouses amusement at the teleportation the mage had just pulled off. It was spectacular but she knew she could do even better, though within very strict limits. "If you think that is cool, I can actually shift us into another plane entirely, I just have to wait a day to shift us back. I can also tell you the direction to the nearest breach to the First World is from here," she instinctively pointed in the right direction, that she had no idea how far it was she didn't bother to clarify.
When they reached Colwyn and Vibenia explained things to him Zelera went over to Colwyn's new consort, Melianse, and smiled happily as she said, "How are you and Colwyn getting along now that you get to have him around even more than you did before? Please, do kiss and tell, I want all the gossip."
Gunoke rolled his eyes at Zelera's choice of topic and said, "What in Plink's rosebud are you talking about this for?!"
Zelera rolled her eyes and said, "No one said you had to listen in Gunoke!" She looked back to Melianse, "Have you met my brother Gunoke yet?"

After some discussion you decide that dealing with some of the problems around Fort Drelev would be a good idea.
The Slough map updated showing where you're heading
K. The Smilodon den is also on your notices for a reward.
G. The explorers grave has no encounter, so you can have the loot from it once you've dealt with the Smilodon's.
Use the Smilodon den map up top for this. Ignore the campfire it isn't really there.
You are currently in Thornholme. What are you doing now?
Niadroub Kliip |
I assume Speartooth from Notice 4 is the smilodon?
Niadroub Kliip can teleport the entire party to Fort Drelev in two castings. He insists that he'll be good to go without resting.
They can then trek a few hours northwest to the Smilodon's den. Lord Numesti could almost certainly provide a guide for them, if they needed one.
Assuming they reach the den, the High Magister bravely positions himself well behind Marten.
Mouse Sootscale |
Mouse keeps her gawking down at being teleported "Scales..." she breathed out, being a bit wobbly for a moment once they arrived. "Thank you for giving me that experience." that was something.
On the trek to the den, Mouse peaks in little encouragements, some random advice about avoiding something that would slow them down, and the like.
Overland speed for the party increased to 50 due to Swift sower: A Bellflower tiller’s base land speed is treated as being +10 feet faster when determining her overland travel speed while traveling long distances and while outside of combat. Members of her Bellflower crop can use either the Bellflower tiller’s overland travel speed or their own, whichever is better. At 6th level, the bonus to speed increases to +20 feet.
Vibenia Scaeva |
As the group teleports to Fort Drelev, using that as their set-off point to venture out in search of the region's most notorious predator, Vibenia initially finds herself somewhat distracted by her companions, though her exceptional awareness still picks up a myriad of background information.
That distraction immediately ends however, the moment she comes across the first sign of the apex predator's activity. With remarkable focus the hunts the beast, an apex predator in her own right, not slowing for a moment as she leads the party to the creature's lair.
