You all are all awake, and in position, S'ala woke you before dawn.
Kevros when were you hurt? In the bar fight? That would mean 3 nights of sleep = 6 hps for level + 6 con modifier for each night too means you are at full hit points.
S'ala you should not need to make any checks, unless there is opposition on the other side.
Another round or so goes by...
PCs with readied actions: Angeus (blowing whistel), Kevros (to the whistle), S'ala (to the whistle), Saren (to the whistle).

Surprise Round
Please post your actions with "Round #" at the top by itself.
Angeus will attack the lead bandit with her crossbow and blow her signal whistle when the last two bandits are inside the arc of the gate. Her bolt hits the leather armor, with Kevros's bolt which draws blood as it bleeds into the fabric.
Saren and S'ala both push on their doors, Saren puts his shoulder into it to close it as soon as possible 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Strength check. Both of you find resistance behind the doors. Saren puts enough force into his door to shunt the horse and rider out on the other side of the door. S'ala?

Round 1
Please post your actions with "Round #" at the top by itself. Considering your actions I am going to keep the Initiative order the same and just go from the top to the bottom.
24 Angeus’s Initiative Check You are up!
23 Kevros’s Initiative Check
22 S’ala’s Initiative Check
14 Stalker’s Initiative Check
11 Quince’s Initiative Check
10 Masota’s Initiative Check

Angeus |

Cursing her luck at not wounding the lead bandit, Angeus collects herself and draws her rapier and attempts to skewer the second bandit.
Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Kevros Droverson |

Kevros manipulates the reload lever as a free action and still focusing fire on the leader hoping to cause chaos within the bandit ranks.
Attacking Leader: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 1
Rolls eyes at dice rolls

S'ala |

I'm already confused. If Angeus waited until the riders were inside the gate how is there someone behind the gate? We'll play on and you can explain later.
S'ala will try to force the second door closed. He puts all his strength into the effort as there seems to be something on the other side that doesn't want to move.
Full Round Action - close the gate with resistance
Strength: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
"Saren, help this One get this door closed. The trap must be shut to be effective,"S'ala yells to the big warrior.

Quince Medvyed |

Quince fires at the second bandit through the gate.
attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 -4 If firing into melee
damage: 1d10 ⇒ 2

![]() |

Does anyone know where Masota is?
Quince misses with his shot.
S'ala if you look at her readied action she was waiting until the last horses were under the arch. That means that the horses are in the way of the doors from closing.
The 2nd bandit turns his horse and draws his sword. He attempts to hit Saren, but just misses not even getting his armor.
Saren tumbles past the horse and attempts to help S'ala close the door. While doing this he looks to be blowing on a horn of some kind.
Enemy 1 pulls his sword as well, but confused at what is happening and does nothing but try to see where all the enemies are.
The rest of them were unlucky and will not go until next round.
Round 2

Kevros Droverson |

Kevros aims at the confused one and fires in attempt to keep him confused or even better, panicked...
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 6
My d20 die is defective, it only has one side, a number 7 ... :-)

Angeus |

S'ala if you look at her readied action she was waiting until the last horses were under the arch. That means that the horses are in the way of the doors from closing.
Just to clarify, I may not have stated my intent very well. I said "inside the arc of the gate" when I should have said "inside the arc of the door" so that the gate door could be closed behind, as planned.

S'ala |

Round 2
S'ala continues to try to get the door shut with the assistance of Saren. He puts all his sinew and strength into shoving the other rider out of the way and feels the door start to budge just a little as Saren crashes into it as well.
Strength: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Hopefully with aid, that is enough to get it closed. If so, and closing is Standard Action, S'ala will draw and prepare his spear as Move Action. Just let me know.

![]() |

With Saren's help S'ala is able to shut the door, with the horse and rider on the other side.
Sorry Angeus, we are going off what your readied action was stated. I am assumed that you are attacking the second bandit in the line, which is now labeled Bandit 1.
Kevros hits the second bandit blood spurts from the bolt wound and he drops out of the saddle from being hit by both Angeus and Kevros.
Bandit 1:-12
Bandit 2:

Quince Medvyed |

Round 2
Quince reloads. Mumbling to himself, [I]fool you should have gone for a melee position. Reloading this thing takes forever. Maybe I can get a fancy one like Kevros.[I]
Quince uses his round to reload.

Angeus |

Sorry Angeus, we are going off what your readied action was stated. I am assumed that you are attacking the second bandit in the line, which is now labeled Bandit 1.
S'alright, my fault for not being clearer. Its made for some interesting RP-ing by S'ala at least :)

Kevros Droverson |

Kevros End of Round 2
After taking a shot, Kevros uses his move action to rapid reload his Repeating Hvy Crossbow with a fresh magazine while keeping an eye on the remaining enemy.

![]() |

Angeus, you may target him, but without moving you are only going to hit air with your rapier, several options are to climb, jump, or acrobatics to balance on the harness while moving to get to position.
Anyone know where Masota is, have any of you heard from her?
Round 2
Bandit 2, wheels his horse around and attacks Saren with his short sword, doing 4 slashing damage, getting by the armor on Saren's arm.
Saren pulls his great blade and attacks the bandit in kind. Though felling the man, with the amount of force done, he falls over the back of his horse.
"I am just a bandit working for others please don't kill me." He whines in a guttural voice.
Round 3
24 Angeus’s Initiative Check
23 Kevros’s Initiative Check
22 S’ala’s Initiative Check
11 Quince’s Initiative Check
10 Masota’s Initiative Check
9 Enemy 2 Initiative Check
5 Saren’s Initiative Check
0 Baggs Initiative Check

Kevros Droverson |

Blood, looking at her other toons, she hasn't posted recently on those as well.
As the remaining bandit surrenders, Kevros keeps low, moves, and looks out across the field from the main gate side of the tower. If there are holes in the palisades, he will look through them. If not, he will keep low and look over the top to see if any stragglers or leaders are looking on towards the keep.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Well, at least it wasn't a roll of 7 ... LOL

S'ala |

Round 3
S'ala will move to secure the surrendering bandit #2 and disarm him and attempt to tie him up with rope from his pack.
Need any rolls for that?

![]() |

Angeus is successful in her maneuver. Kevros does not see anyone out beyond the gates.
S'ala, move to bandit and pull out rope Round 3, disarm... and start grapple Round 4, pin and tie Round 5. Ideally. We shall see.

Quince Medvyed |

Quince takes off at a run full speed heading along the north wall walkway hoping to get a view of what is going on outside the walls.
Running as fast as I can 4x this puts me just at the bottom of the stairs (still on the north wall)

Saren Elken |

Saren follows S'ala, "Anyone good with healing, to stabalize these poor fellows? They could be dead."

![]() |

Seeing that he is outnumbered and there is no safe way out, the leader drops his weapon and dismounts, also putting his hands out for the rope.

Quince Medvyed |

I am moving as fast I can toward the nw corner then along the north wall.

S'ala |

Sorry i was under the impression that bandit #2 was surrendering so grappling, disarming etc was a not necessary. But you made it sound like a fight was needed? Now it sounds like the leader is surrendering also? Can you clarify, so I know what you need for next action?.
"This One is not a skilled healer. Once these brigands are secured, this One will look to the wounded man if no one else is available. Perhaps you might see how things are on the other side of gate where 2 bandits were left. It's possible the Stalker will stop them, but not a certainty," S'ala says to Saren.

![]() |

Well now we have Bandit 1 and 2 are bleeding out. The Leader has now totally given up. Don't worry about it S'ala, just tie him up. Act freely.

Saren Elken |

Should I go see if they need help outside? Of course once you have that one secured. Saren asks S'ala.

S'ala |

S'ala will rope up the leader securing him to the wagon wheel. He will then move to 1st bandit and attempt first aid that stops the bleeding out and stabilizes.
Heal,untrained: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
"Yes, Saren, open the sally door and see if there are more bandits still outside. If there is an overwhelming number, return and shut the sally door again. This one will join after looking to these wounded men."

Kevros Droverson |

Kevros keeps scanning to see if there are more bandits.
Perception15: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
That is if he can after already scanning out front? EDIT: Nevermind, really, are you serious?! Another sorry beepin' roll?! I am going to die because of sorry computerized die rolls and not bad choices. Oh well, onward we go!

Quince Medvyed |

Quince continues around to the front hurrying. Once to the northeast corner he peers over the edge.
perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Quince calls out in celestial, "fgfdx jhggj ok vg"

Kevros Droverson |

Unable to understand Quince, Kevros hopes that Stalker dispatched all fleeing bandits. Then he climbs down the ladder to retrieve his bolts since he forgot to that in town.

![]() |

Check, check, check. Looks good, the group is fully out of combat now.
Saren goes out the sally door. Kevros you watch him go out, though after 100 or 200 feet you have trouble tracking him. Saren double moves the entire distance.
S'ala gets to the two bandits in the fort, he tears what fabric is available, likely their clothing and makes improvised bandages.

S'ala |

S'ala says:"This one is not a healer, but it appears these men will survive for now. Someone trained in the healing arts will need to look them over after the danger has passed. For now, let us look to the bandits."
He moves to the sally port and looks outside.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Kevros Droverson |

After losing track of Saren and at the same time S'ala walks over to the Sally Port, not completely trusting Saren yet, Kevros speaks up to the group while pointing to the Sally port where S'ala is check now, "What is Saren up to, he went out the sally port?"

Quince Medvyed |

Quince makes his way to the fallen bandits. Checking if either is alive. "Grab their weapons I will be waking them if I can."
heal: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
heal: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Cure light wounds if I think either is alive.

Kevros Droverson |

Did Kevros recover any of his bolts?... lol

![]() |

Kevros recovers all but one bolt. Quince uses his healing to bring the first bandit to consciousness, the makeshift bandages also bind the bandits. Though at that rate you will need to cast two more on the other bandit.

Kevros Droverson |

Kevros places (2) bolts in his pack.

![]() |

Feel free to interact with the bandits or go out the sally door to see what is going on. Etc.

Angeus |

Seeing she was mistaken on what she though S'ala was going to do, Angeus tells the bandit leader "On your knees, then don't move a muscle!"
She keeps her rapier at ready then circles the bandit. Once behind him, she crouches and binds his hands.

![]() |

I am pretty sure the bandit leader is tied to the wagon wheel, the bandit that is healed by Quince is not moving just under Quince's knees, the last bandit is unconscious but stable.

![]() |

A few minutes later, Kevros you can see Saren and Stalker bringing in the two horses of the bandits with each bandit tied ontop of them. The dragon and the gray are following behind the two other horses.

Kevros Droverson |

Kevros is elated to place a little more trust with Saren. Unfortunately, it is hard to trust everyone in Brevoy for both political and moral reasons. Kevros runs over to the main gate, checks to see if the close is clear and opens the gate for Stalker, Saren, and Prisoners. As they pass by, "Nice catch Stalker and thanks for helping him Saren." Kevros closes the main gate and climbs the ladder to the palisade walkway, and calls down, "Make sure to strip them of all weapons and valuables. They can start paying for damages to this keep and our time."

Stalker of Vengence |

"No worries, just cost me a few pulls of my bow. Though one of the shots went high and the poor fellow won't see out of that eye again." Stalker raises his shoulders in resignation, then begins to strip the captives.
