Seres Feyblood |

Intrigued and curious, Seres considers proceeding but caution takes over and he returns to the surface. "A stairwell is hidden in the water, but it is murky. I can scout ahead, but you may need to make preparations to follow."
If the others concur, he will cast invisibility then dive back in and see where the stairs lead.

Veronica Ferra |

Does invisibility work underwater, or do you leave a conspicuous hole?
Given some time I could prepare some water breathing spells.

"Invisibility: An invisible creature displaces water and leaves a visible, body-shaped “bubble” where the water was displaced. The creature still has concealment (20% miss chance), but not total concealment (50% miss chance
Connor nods and then looks to the others, uncertain of what underwater preparation is even available.
"We got any scrolls.stashed away that can help with this or are we swimming for it?

Seres find that the stairs descend steeply for 20 feet before turning and entering a completely flooded 10-foot-high side tunnel.
As he descends he notices movement in the corner of his eye and a shift in the currents. Something large is rising up from the murky depths of the cavern!

Connor will take the 1st half of the night with Whitetalon.

wehrpig |

You set up camp in the musty darkness of the dank cavern.
Towards the end of the night, as Seres stands guard, he finds that a heavy mist begins rising from the cavern lake. Looking closer, Seres sees a black, gaseous being with gaunt skeletal hands silently emerge from the mist.
Seres gets one round of action.

Round 2
The smokey body slithers silently at Seres and slashes him viciously with one of it elongated, pallid arms - the claw rips through Seres's flesh (9 points damage and make a DC 17 Fort save or suffer 1d6 ⇒ 1 wisdom damage.)
The rest of the part are roused from Seres's call.

Ezekial and Veronica both scramble up and away from the nightmarish creature.
Round 3

Thanks. Change damage to 2d6 + 15 ⇒ (6, 4) + 15 = 25.
Odds are Connor will still hit without the to hit bonuses
Reduce all WT's attack rolls by 2
Although, I could technically charge by moving 10feet south and hanging a hard turn to the east. Ride by attack prevents AoOs

![]() |

Do you have the feat that lets you change direction one time in a charge? Hmm. Charge requires that your path be the shortest route available so maybe not.

Connor Lake |
- Challenge (+2/+6): 2/2
- Animal Aspect: 2/2

Wheeling charge blows that requirement away by allowing a 90 degree turn any where in the movement as long as both pieces are 10 feet. So technically I believe in could move south 2 squares, attack and then move west 2 squares. Seems cheesy though, so I'll just stand up and take it.

![]() |

Right, but doesn't the requirement to charge to the closest square still apply.

wehrpig |

Ezekial leaps up and drives the apparition back with a furious slash of his kukri. Connor and Phwyss then complete the creature's destruction with a combination of great sword and sonic assault. The black cloud that formed the creature's body quickly dissipates in tendrils of noxious vapor.
The chamber then returns to a dank stillness. The water from the lake slowly laps against the cavern shore. In a few short hours it is morning.
Actions?

Connor Lake |
- Challenge (+2/+6): 2/2
- Animal Aspect: 2/2

No because you can avoid pretty much anything in your way now to get to attack. You have to attack from a square that you can threaten it from, of course. But in general, I think a charge should be in the general direction of the target not perpendicular
"Amyone know what the hell that was?"
Connor looks around holding his hands and sword out to his side in complete confusion
