So, I finally fixed my Herolab license issue and got the program working on my new laptop. not that hard if I actually followed their directions.

And I ended up taking a level of Brawler with an archtype that gives up martial flexibility for sneak attack. Perfect for what I wanted.

So Ezekial takes a level of Snakebite Brawler, He gains:

+1 BAB
6 + 2(Con) HP
+2 Fort and Reflex
Brawler's Cunning - This lets him take feats that normally require Int 23
Martial Training - Lets his brawler levels count as fight or monk levels for progression
+1 die of sneak attack - specifically matches the dagger sneak attack he already has
Unarmed Strike - Might come up...
A new feat - and takes Spring-Heeled Sprint, doubling his spring attack distance.

Ok, let's run the numbers.

We know that the save DC is 17 from the initial attack, which did 3 Con damage, here.

We know that I failed pretty much all of my saves, here.

The question really is, how much Con damage did I take on each successive failed save?

Con damage round 1 = 3 points
Con damage, round 2: 1d4 ⇒ 1 (total 4 dmg)
Con damage, round 3: 1d4 ⇒ 4 (total 8 dmg)
Con damage, round 4: 1d4 ⇒ 2 (total 10 dmg)
Con damage, round 5: 1d4 ⇒ 2 (saved, so no damage)
Con damage, round 6: 1d4 ⇒ 3 (total 13 dmg)

Note that while a roll of 24 would save (on round 5), wyvern poison takes 2 successful saves to end, so this doesn't really help much.

Veonica has a Con of 13, so this kills her.

This also means that the save penalty goes:
After round 1: -1
After round 2: -2 (save modified to 10 on this round)
After round 3: -4 (save modified to 12 on this round)
After round 4: -5 (save modified to 11 on this round)
After round 5: -5 (save modified to 19 on this round)
After round 6: -7 (save modified to 2 on this round)

This means that even if she shifted, her saves are so bad that the +2 bonus doesn't make a difference.

Since Veronica dies with a 0 Constitution, she can't be raised. Or, rather, she can, but then she just dies again instantly, because you automatically die with a 0 Constitution. As a corpse she can't be a valid target for lesser restoration, so there's no way to restore her lost Constitution before raising her.

But wait! You say. What if we cast restoration on her while she was dying? Unfortunately all of the restoration spells have a 3 round casting time, so unless someone was right next to her and started casting the spell as soon as she was stung, it won't go off in time to make a difference.

But what if someone used Heal skill to give her a +4 bonus in addition to the +2 bonus from shifting, if she somehow magically had that? Well, a +6 would make a difference on rounds 3 and 4. But someone would have to get to her (not great on a map with 90' squares) and make a successful DC 17 Heal check, using their actions to Heal her instead of fighting the wyverns.

And EVEN IF she got this bonus on those saves and managed to therefore stave off the poison enough to not drop to 0 Constitution, the loss of hit points due to reduced Con would still kill her (but she'd be raise-able, just really messed up).

So Veronica is dead, dead, dead as a doornail.

Scrolls all take one round to use regardless of 5he cast time of the spell since they are spell completion items.

Aldo having a con of one doesn't stop being raised as the gon will be set to 1. You only take a con drop if you can't take the two negative levels.

Die and use the raise dead scroll on her, then follow with the restoration scroll. That's our best bet otherwise, even if we time the restoration scroll perfectly, she may still fail the saves and then we have Veronica with 1 Con walking around ... in the wild ... on our way into an evil hole in the ground.

Sorry for slow posting. My daughter got married last Tuesday in Colorado and then my mother had a heart attack Friday. She is fine and already back at home, but these events have eaten all my time. I am back and on a regular schedule again.

That poison sucked! We need to invest in some scrolls of delay and neutralize poison. I find a communal Delay poison is a good party buff in general.

Necroing the Kingmaker CRPG discussion. I struggled with some of the main story bugs that were near game breaking and I certainly couldn't finish the final dungeon without a guide.

Thankfully I take forever to finish games and it got way better with patching.

The Kingdom Mamagement part got better enough that I considered playing again just to do that "right"

And then I slapped myself as I looked at the 200 hours I'd already out into the game.

To be fair, a good chunk of that was running Beneath the Stolen Lands with different parties with the turn based mod which was like playing a whole different game and really felt like normal Pathfinder (1 rd/level spells were actually worthwhile)

Hi all. I can finally log into the Paizo server, though not with Firefox, which is my preferred browser. Not sure what happened to the server but I am finally back. I hope everyone else is. I'll try to get a post on later today if I am behind.
