That's probably the way to go actually. Isabel takes 10 on the primary check and if Freya and Darian both take 10 on aids then we'll always hit 20. Works with Freya in the lead too, but she has pets already! I'm already earmarking level 7 for Leadership and a cute owl bear cohort! :D

I have spells that can make that happen if I can get close enough. With the party hanging back and relying on missile fire (which is the smart move), I can't get close enough without making Freya very vulnerable.

Been a hectic stretch for me lately. Had some life things crop up that have kept me occupied, and picked up a second job to try and help out with some financial strains I’ve been having. If I’m a bit more silent than usual, please don’t take it as a lack of interest.

Thursday, 18 July, in the wee hours of the morning, I get on an airplane and leave for the international Boy Scout World Jamboree. I'll be 1 of the roughly 120 people working on JUST the archery ranges, helping the attendees have some fun.

I will have only my phone for electronic access, but AT&T has wired the dickens out of the facility, and a signal should never be my problem. Power on the other hand . . .. There will be a limited number of places to plug things in (compared to the tens of thousands of attendees) and no safe place to plug something in and walk away from it, which means time spent charging is time spent NOT doing any of the things people are there to do.

I am going to try to check in and cover anything I should cover, but I don't know for sure how well it is going to go.

I won't be home again until 3 August.

Actually, part of the reason I've been less responsive the past little bit is I've been getting ready to go. Still have a lot to do, honestly.

Not trying to jinx anything here, by any means, but I’m asking to get a feel for the scope of power in the world in this game:

How prevalent IS resurrection magic in this campaigns Golarion? Is it something that happens commonly amongst the wealthy? Is it generally considered something only “the greatest of clerics” can do, if for a good cause? Or is it the stuff of legends?

I mean, in basic Golarion, there aren’t very many NPC’s (that aren’t enemies) who have very many PC class levels...

There are actually quite a few and it's a hazard of doing business inside the pathfinder society. If you have ever played society. Death is common and PC's come back all the time if they have the money. The Pathfinder lodges are very prevalent throughout Golarion. Raise Dead only takes a 5th level cleric.

How does a 5th-level society cleric cast raise dead?

It’s a level 5 spell. So it would take a 9th level cleric.

And as a reference, leaders of the various orders within the church of Abadar are level 9-10 from what I can tell. And these are the leaders. And the ruler of the city of Absalom is level 13.

So...unless our particular version of Golarion has high level NPC’s just scattered around all over...then I’d have to think resurrection magic isn’t just readily available.

Not to mention the comparative expense of such a diamond compared to people’s incomes. Using the cost of living rules, an average person gets by on 120 gold per year. A wealthy one 1,200 gp per year.

So, 41 years of the average persons living expenses, or a bit over 4 years of a wealthy persons expenses. Assuming said diamond is even available.

Basically: are we dealing with a high magic Golarion where if we have the coin, we can conveniently find someone capable of casting it? Or are we in a low magic Golarion where if we have the coin, we may still be in a pickle to find someone able and willing to do it?

"Life is what happens while you are making other plans."

On my arrival day at the World Scout Jamboree, I got caught in a DELUGE of rain. My phone refused to charge because of water detected in the charging port. It has been drained of power sitting in a ziploc bag of rice for a couple of weeks, and STILL reports water in the charging port.

I'll find out later how bad off my phone really is. It can charge through induction, at the worst. Just didn't have any induction chargers at the Jamboree!

Posting this to my games, and I will come back later today and try ot catch up through them.

Oh, and the group of 16 staffers (including me) running the 30-target 10m static archery range had people step up to the Shooting Line and throw arrows downrange almost 10,000 times (for 50,000 arrows), including 1 blind archer, 1 wheel-chair bound archer that we held up so she could hoot standing like everyone else, and 1 one-armed archer.

Also, after updating the Party Loot, I noticed a couple things:

1) We now have 6 Potions of Cure Moderate Wounds. Do we wanna each take 1 for our personal inventory?

I could take the helm for the bonus to perception too bad the flat footed ability is for ranged attack, but it is just once a day. But as the trap spotter the +2 is a +2. :)
