Are you sure you want to do that?

No update today sorry. Busy, busy, busy.

Are you sure you want to do that?

Just to let everyone know, I've got my hands on the Kingmaker PC game and have been playing it just over a week now.

I'm enjoying it, though my first run ended when I didn't deal with the Stag lord in the required three months. :)

Started again with a Druid, who has a Dog as his animal companion. The Dog has put so many opponents on their arses with trip!

Picked up a Ranger companion with a wolf and now a lot of fights end up with the party murdering people lying on their backs. :)

It's a little slow to start but gets far more interesting once you are starting to set up your Kingdom. Managing things is really tricky.

I just bought it as well this week. Haven't started a game yet though. Been playing the Division 2 with a buddy. My computer died a 2 months ago so we just got a cheep gaming PC. Looking forward to trying kingmaker out. :)

It's been a fun game thus far (I backed the Kickstarter and have been playing in some form or another since alpha) - at least when I have the time to devote to it.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

I played in the beta and reported many a bug!

My biggest problem is that my bad luck with randomization means that I haven't yet succeeded on a single kingdom event. That means my kingdom is about to fall apart because I can't earn money or raise its morale.

Playing a ranger/rogue. It works well but the kingdom management part means that I can't get further than a short bit past the Stag Lord before the entire kingdom falls apart and forces the game to end.

While in part two of the game, while I was running around my capital killing invading monsters. Including a huge Owlbear, my loyal subjects must have been following behind me taking the pelts.

Because in part three when I enter the town tavern it now has a huge Owlbear skin rug? Wow thanks guys! I do all the work and you get the conversation piece.

I didn't realize they had put in the Aasimar heritage so I just started over playing a Paladin first go. I did get to the Sycamore on my first game and up top found a camp they game recommended it a place to rest I was like ok I'm getting ready to go underground lets do that. All 2nd level and get attacked by the Will O Wisp. The game is brutal :)

Are you sure you want to do that?

Yup. Up close to Oleg's is one of the areas you find as you travel, simply called the the 'Old oak'. It's one of the first areas you find so you'll be 2nd level most likely.

Nice of them to have as it's sole occupant a 'Mankiller Troll'!

That camp spot, isn't it the one with dead bodies all around it? As in Hint! This is suspicious?

Interesting weekend.

Saturday, I spent about 11 hours (including travel time) teaching some adult Scouter Training. Then I basically did nothing Saturday night.

Sunday I saw Endgame, and played in my once-a-month Skype Starfinder game (We're in Book 5 of Dead Suns).

Tonight, I watched the Game of Thrones episode, am doing laundry, and am trying to catch up on message traffic. Oops. Washer's ready for me to swap out. Starting the last load!

Just as a heads up, I will be leaving May 2nd to go pay homage at the House of Mouse and won’t be back home until May 12th, and then diving right back into work for a few days. Through those first 10 days, my posting may be slower than usual but I’ll still try to get a post in as able and needed.

Are you sure you want to do that?

Sorry for going missing. I picked up a nasty cold from somewhere on Sunday and have been bedridden since then. It might be a day or two more before things get back to normal.

Still alive, just not very well. It's keeping me tired and aching, with a nasty cough. Drops away until I get optimistic, then slams me back down again.

I hope to resume posting over the weekend, thanks for your patience.

Notices: I think we have officially fulfilled the Howl-of-the-Northern-Winds. Do we get that bounty now?

6 wolf pelts and the Worg pelt - I’d kinda like to have something nifty made from these, i was thinking maybe a cloak for myself (basically furs), anyone else have ideas...or should we just make a few nice rugs? And what would this cost?

Wyvern Hide x2 - what could we do with this?

Wyvern Head x2 and PRISTINE Huge Owlbear Pelt - Darian would like to have these worked on by a taxidermist and stuffed into wall mounts for the Wyvern heads and a full body mount from the huge owlbear. What would this cost me, DM?

DBH - In addition to the fluff questions above, I’m saving up coin to have some Mithral Full Plate made for Darian. Are we basing the crafting time on how long the rules as written say? Because based on the rules, assuming they got the bare minimum each check, it would take 41.5 weeks to make the armor. ASSUMING the special material cost isn’t included in the time to craft. Or, could I just, say, pay half of it up front, and assume say a team of smiths are working on it, and then when I pay the second half, I can pick the armor up?

Then I’ll spend 70 gp on each PC a nice wolf fur cloak (don’t have to wear it if you don’t want, but Brevish winters are cold...) and then I’ll go ahead and pay double to have the worg fur turned into a nice rug for Silverhold Castle.

So spending 1,520 gp on these fluff things for the win!

We can begin rearing the cub. To rear a wild owlbear should be DC 20, but we don’t get a retry if we fail. So...we need to decide who is taking the lead on this and provide as many Aid Another’s as we can.

Freya has +10
Isabel has +6
Darian has +5

So...we have a potential of a flat +14 to the check if Freya leads the rearing and we both successfully aid her.

Handle Animal Aid Another: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

...Unless DBH is fine with that being the primary check and just being done with it. :-P
