Main Title : ARCHMAGE 28 DE :Handling Corax:

This brief conversation will happen with Corax when he returns one evening to his home in the Knights Keep commons area.

" Your recent antics have drawn my attention to you. AGAIN. Now that you have my attention, when you decide that it's best to not have my eyes watching all of your operations, you can visit me in the audience chamber of my throne room ."

With those words, I turn and leave.

I then visit the local Inn- Armaki's Tavern.

barkeep - Armaki

" You are an important part of this town. You serve good drink to many of the citizens. With that in mind, Corax and his crew have been imbiding a bit too much and causing trouble. I want you to make certain that they are not given any special treatment. No free drinks, no special favors or discounts of any kind. Corax and this list of people (all are employees of the lumbermill that gave us 3 points of unrest) are to be treated like everyone else. BUT, they have been here since our humble beginnings and I understand that they have been getting preferential treatment. That is to stop. In fact, be aware that if you over-serve any patrons - such as lumberjacks- so that they are drunk and disorderly, you will be fined for their condition. Disorderly conduct near your bar = fine for the Inn. It's part of your responsibility to cut off a drunkard before they start causing trouble for the law abiding citizens of this realm. Every bar and pub will get this same message.

I am leaving here and notifying the Warden of the Realm of this crack down on drunk and disorderly. I hope we understand each other."

I go to the Warden of the Realm- Sir Kesten Garris- " We need to crack down on the drunks and rowdiness of the town. I want you to go to each bar and Inn and Tavern in the town and tell them that if we lock up anyone for being drunk and disorderly, and they were near or were served at someone's bar. The bar will get fined for their part in overserving the drunk we have to hold in jail. Please given them warning so they have full knowledge and can cut off patrons before they are trashed. Also, tell them we know people will barhop. If you detect that someone is jumping from bar to bar, you cut them off"

Next to the lumber merchants --

"I want lawful and upstanding merchants in my city. I understand that you do business with Corax and his band of lumberjacks. Again, I want honesty in business, so I want to make certain that Corax isn't getting special contracts or special treatment. If he currently has any special deals or bargains that you have worked out with him,, I suggest that you renegotiate those arrangements to be far more reasonable and lawful.

We are going to be auditing books and contracts. Double-checking things and I am personally interested in reviewing Corax's business and those that he partners with to make certain that there aren't ANY shenanigans. I am looking for likeminded , honest business men that have the kingdom's well being at heart over the interests of a rogue outfit - like Corax. "

OOG: Hopefully the pressure his business partners will put on him, and the pressure his employees will put on him, will have a contrite effect on Corax.

Lord Bronin Dohari.

ArchMage 28 DE -- Main Title: Teambuilding The Bronin Way.

At the next Counsel Meeting.

"Today's subject is: Teamwork

In the next week, I would like to do a couple of team building exercises to show everybody how working as a team can make us a better Nation.

To clearly demonstrate that working together can allow us to enhance our strengths and be more efficient. So, I want all the members of the counsel to be ready next weekend for some healthy competition. "

At the start of the week (AKA Monday), I'm going to take two council members that are not particularly strong and get them out onto a rowboat on Lake Tuskwater. I think that Krolm and The Professor are probably the weaker council members. I would like to see them spend time on Tuskwater lake working in unison. After one session, adding Fiddle-bow to the head of the boat and call out the right cadence for their rowing.

OOG: My hope is that with a little familiarity and after 5 days (AKA Monday through Friday), Team Krolm/Professor will be fast and coordinated in their rowing.

When the weekend comes, we will have the first part of the team building exercise.

Out on the lake I will have some of the stronger members (Like Sir Grerogy and Jarl) to choose a partner and race in the rowboat against The Professor/Krolm. To most people, without magic, the stronger pair should win in a normal boatrace.

But, the point of this exercise is how working together can defeat a superior or stronger force. I am hoping that a few humbling defeats will get people's attention and bring home the point of this training. After those trials are done, the second phase is to changing partners so that the strong (Jarl) is paired with The Professor and the other strong member (Sir Gregory) is paired with Krolm. The key to this situation: After winning a few races, The Professor will see a drop down in performance as he adjusts to Jarl. The same will be said with Sir Gregory seeing an improvement as Krolm gets him into a coordinated rythmn. Each person in the exchange should notice a big difference.

The third and final exercise will involve doing yet another race but this time one of the boats will have tiny FiddleBow calling out the cadence. Saying, " Stroke, stroke, stroke" so that the boat just glides across the lake. This final lesson being how important it is to have one person at the helm coordinating everybody's activity. The lesson, is essentially, how their Lord Bronin is supposed to be the signal caller getting everyone in The Council -- eleven individual seats --to work together so that the sum is greater than the individual parts.

I am going to try and post a Kingmaker tomorrow. I am still working as I have a group presentation at 10:00am tomorrow.

I just have to LAUGH so heartily when it comes to roleplaying. I think the computer might be semi-intelligent. Because Brother Butterfly is AMAZING at public speaking. A gifted speaker with a very similar diplomacy, but his rolls have almost always been legendarily good in social situations. BRONIN, on the otherhand has been cataclysmically bad at diplomacy rolls.

I LOVE it. It's the best roleplaying possible.

Anyway to get Louie (Happy Birthday to him BTW) and Alfred on board the PBP?

Doubtful. I may recruit some other folks from the boards, but not just yet.
