HP: 40/40 AC: 17:13:14 Saves:6:5:5 Init: 2, Dip+11 Per: +11 SenMot +9

List of pranks that could be pulled:

  • Swapping their blade(s) with hilt(s) that looks like the hilt of their blade(s) in their sheaths.
  • Glue their blades to their sheaths.
    With the above two is better when they are forced into a public confrontation not knowing what happened.
  • Grease the stairs of their meeting place just before or as they leave.
  • Any Elven thieves get painted black (look like Drow).
  • Powered milk in their bed sheets or underwear.
  • Poison Ivy in their cod piece/underwear or socks. This is a nasty idea, one I would not wish on anyone.
  • Cast Disguise Other or Poly Morph them as they sleep into something they dislike or use your imagination. Big Evil Grin.
  • Cast Prestidigitation on their cloths to make them invisible.
  • Haunting illusions at night, especially ones that work psychologically on them. Maybe even push them to the light.

    More later.

  • V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    Ghost Sound while they're sleeping to wake them up. Over and over and over again. After about a week, they'll be on the verge of insanity.

    Follow them around invisible, maintaining Prestidigitation to make them smell like poo, no matter how much they wash.

    Have Kenrath make Sovereign Glue or Alchemical Glue. Give it to the fae and tell them to be creative.

    Other Alchemical items rife with possibility- Itching Powder, Rusting Powder, Sneezing Powder.

    And of course there's the nuclear option of passing out scrolls of Bestow Curse. They're 375 gp a piece.

    Well with my new found fortune I am crafting a cloak of resistance +1 and headband of vast intelligence +2 for Krenrath and he will be broke once more.

    Let me know if anyone wants anything crafted.

    DM:

    So once more where do I find spells to add to my spellbook? I got the gold to copy some but no where to copy from. I doubt there are many wizards in the wild and I can't teach new ones if I only have a handful of spells myself. xP

    HP: 40/40 AC: 17:13:14 Saves:6:5:5 Init: 2, Dip+11 Per: +11 SenMot +9

    Continuing

  • Liquid Ice poured down the pants
  • Powder, Insomnia: poured into the drink they are drinking from.
  • Powder, Rusting: blown on their weapons just are they clean them.
  • Powder, Sneezing: blown near them when they try something sneaky.
  • Tanglefoot Bag: used near them when they try something sneaky.
  • Thunderstone: used near them when they try something sneaky or at night.
  • Beast Lure: put on their clothes and release creature(s) it's tied to, like dire skunks, bees, wasps, cats. etc
  • Grease the handles of their weapons.
  • Cast light on their clothes during night fall, the night and at sun rise.Can't do much if your a walking lightbulb.

    More later.

  • V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    Oooh, beast lure and insomnia powder are particularly great ideas.

    Krenrath, assume you can get spells from traders, merchants, and other travelers who visit Corbenic and/or Oleg's Trading Post.

    Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

    Just wanted to say farewell to everyone. Hope you guys have a great game and kick the BBG's butt. ;)

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    Hope you didn't take anything that happened in game personally. Your characters seem to butt heads with ours sometimes, but that's ok. It's all part of the story.

    It's also ok if you don't think your playstyle meshes well with the group we've put together. That's a valid reason for dropping out of a game.

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    Thank you for your kind farewell.

    With Ari still (apparently) under the weather, I think we should continue, assuming that she still agrees with asking the Barons Tyg and Pervalish to deal with the Black Guild members.

    The only other business is which direction to ask Happs and Yiv to explore. Consensus seems to be "west" of the Tuskwater, but I wanted to be sure.

    Well, ironically enough, I was thinking East since a human life (Ari's friend(s)) might be of more value to Bydar than even a tower, but whatever the group would decide normally.

    Are we keeping Krenrath as Magister, or just saying he was a temp and then opening up for recruitment? I ask because while I'm rather liking watching the kingdom rise around us, we may eventually need more arcane firepower

    Sorry to see you go, but I do agree with Raxus on playstyle meshing.

    Sorry, I meant east!

    I am still thinking about how to handle recruitment. I think we should add people, but I am wondering if an "open call" is the best way to do it.

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    We could do an internal recruitment. I'm sure we all have friends on the boards that we've played with before who's playstyles match well with ours.

    How many people do we want?

    Kind of leaning toward internal stuff too.

    I'm thinking two, get the group up to six.

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    Well, we need an arcane type, what would be the second?

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    What roles do we need?

    Primary Caster, and Utility?

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    How did I never level Raxus up to 4?

    HD: 1d12 ⇒ 11

    Arcane, and "other" would work I think. You guys have the party roles pretty well covered.

    Good catch, Raxus... and nice roll. :)

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    You were too worried about the puppies

    Maybe we should think more of 'roles of rulership' that either are or could be opened realistically. Which ones make the most sense to open up and let a new comer pick from? Architect IS open, though Bydar enjoys his two cents there and would be happy to help, it might not be very popular

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    Good call.

    Open council roles are Architect and Magister? Any others?

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    Raxus just picked up Auspicious Mark and raised his strength to 22.

    PCs overrule NPCs for positions on the council, so if somebody wants to be Treasurer, Oleg is going to conveniently need to give up the position for some reason or another.

    And you are absolutely correct - you can add more seats on the council, and/or separate current positions into more distinct responsibilities.

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    Let's see..
    Ruler - Bydar
    Grand Diplomat - Arianna
    Councilor - Bridgette
    General - Raxus
    Magister - Now Open
    Treasurer - Oleg
    High Pastor - Jhod
    High Priest - Teremith
    Justicar - Miles
    Warden - Kesten
    Spymaster - Lanner
    Marshal - Happs
    Chief Architect- Been open with Bydar taking up some slack on the side ;)

    Unless an NPC wants to retire (Which ones most likely would be our GM's call) it looks like those two are are only open spots

    EDIT: Oops, cross posted with GM, that answers that.

    HP: 40/40 AC: 17:13:14 Saves:6:5:5 Init: 2, Dip+11 Per: +11 SenMot +9

    the positions would likely be selected by the new PCs that we recruit.

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    I think offering Architect and Magister will correspond well to the party roles we need anyway.

    I'll put the word out to a couple friends and see if anyone is interested.

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    I suppose that's only fair.
    As for a player who we might approach internally. In one game I'm in, there's a guy who has played a goblin wizard of all things, and made him quite likable. I don't know if he's always that good a team player or not, but he's certainly made things fun for me. I think he maybe in another Kingmaker game though and may not want to double up. I could ask though.

    The player is Aebliss if any of you have ever gamed with him

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    Go ahead and ask him. I'll wait on your response.

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    Well, no response yet, sad to say. Maybe I caught him on off hours

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    Ok I got a response. He's very interested . He's wanting to try a summoner, the concept might be too sci fi and I warned him about that. Anyway, I'll pass on his PM to Haldhin and see what he thinks

    EDIT: And another response from him saying forget about that concept, and he'd go for a human summoner. I told him that might be better.

    Thanks, I PMed him.

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    NP. He seems to be around more in the morning hours. I don't really know his time zone

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    I'll put the word out and see if I can find one more.

    My apologies, everyone. For the past week I've been battling what's turned out to be a case of pneumonia, and this is the first that I've felt well enough to even sit upright and turn on the computer. Can't guarantee much posting in the next several days - very low energy and meds that may start making me feel even worse in different ways (yuck!). I'll try to keep up, but right now I'm going to lay back down. Feel free to 'bot Arianna if need be. Thanks!

    Oh, and I'm definitely good with asking Perlivash and Tyg to deal with the Black Guild members.

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    Youch Hope you get and feel better soon.

    I hope you enjoyed some of the pranks I listed.

    Yeah, get better soon. Don't worry, I'll take care of Ari while you're recovering. >:)

    Aebliss is going to join. I've told him to feel free and begin posting here, and we'll introduce his character in a day or two.

    Raxus, thanks for looking, I appreciate it.

    I'll review what's happened so far in the council meeting and post any outstanding questions I have tonight. After those are answered, we'll advance the turn and I'll post the new events.

    I look forward to participating in this game with all of you!

    We're in a (understandable) lull and I find myself wondering on our 'dream' buildings. The stuff we'd like to get eventually even if we can't anytime soon.

    Bydar dreams of:
    A Cathedral to Shelyn, glorious and beautiful, high spires, stained glass, with expansive grounds replete with fountains and statues.
    A Castle- Well, upgrading the fort that is. Maybe it will have Raven sculptures and designs, though he's not looking for grim. It will need to be defensible and be ready to allow citizens in quickly if a tragedy occurs.
    Bardic University: Where music rings out, and the would be minstrels of today become the true bards of tomorrow. Shelyn is a goddess of music, after all. It might be quite close to the cathedral. OR...
    A Opera House/Musical theater Grand and with great acoustics. Seating numerous people with grand spots in the balcony. That kind of thing. :)
    A Park: Possibly a green belt set up, walkways of cobblestone on the green where flowers are tended by master gardeners. More fountains and footbridges for further decoration, and benches under great trees for shade.

    I'm sure more will occur to me later :)

    Female Human Summoner 4: Init +3 (+1 Dex., +2 Reactionary); Perception +0; AC 15 (+1 Dex., +4 armour); hp 23/30; Fort +3; Ref +2; Will +5

    How about a library?
    And a university?
    Maybe an arcane academy?
    A grand wizard's tower would be fun, too. ^^

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    Hey, if that's what Belka will eventually hope for, that's dandy. The idea of an arcane academy that trains summoners (as well as others arcane types?) might be neat to see.

    Bridgette's got dreams of a warrior's academy of sorts and will be encouraging the women of the nation to get some training, I know that. Of course, that'll take some diplomacy as well as BPs

    I have no idea what Raxus might dream of building wise but I look forward to finding out

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    Raxus wants to build a society of people who take care of each other. That's about it.

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    Raxus needs a bungalow.
    I'm not sure why. I just like saying bungalow :)

    HP: 40/40 AC: 17:13:14 Saves:6:5:5 Init: 2, Dip+11 Per: +11 SenMot +9

    Welcome Belka, to our group.

    I'll admit, I as a player dislike summoners.
    So if I appear distant or antaganistic to your character, it is my dislike of the class that's leaking through.

    And Bridgette has some other plans but will wait on them,
    and the warrior academy I'm planning on will cover more than just the Melee types,
    it'll be covering training of all combat, magic (divine and arcane), and skilled classes.

    An Arena, cathedral and a couple of other buildings our on Bridgette's list.

    V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

    Nothing wrong with Summoners. In tabletop games they tend to eat up a lot of time, and a lot of GMs don't know how to handle it when the players have as many mooks as the bad guys, but in Play by Post games they work really well.

    I think you might be surprised at how well they play in this format.

    Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

    I'm not familiar enough with them to comment. :) I trust the player , and I trust the GM so I'm not worried either way.
