I think you've been doing fine. The nature of PbP games is slow. We've been making progress and everyone is in it for the long haul.

Raxus nailed it on the head, PBP is slow and we're in it for the long haul.

I was sort of expecting Ariana to take the lead on this one

I'm curious if anyone here would be interested in a game where you play our character's descendants.
Think of running it, and it'll be one or two modules worth.
And it have a few other twists ...

I'm curious who is breeding with who. :D

The Player chooses an NPC (or PC if they both agree to it)

I think it might be too soon to play who's descended from whom. It might accidentally trap our characters in this campaign into preset patterns. I know, for example, that Bydar will need to wed to continue the line... but he's also a cleric of Shelyn, so love is kind of.. oh, important.

The DM has told he's got plans for Bydar, but they may take awhile. I'm cool with that. But a campaign set in the future might force his hand too soon or tie him up on a path he may not like.

It could also be viewed as an alternate future, not the real future of this game.

Correction:
I do fully realise that this game could never be a true version of this campaign's future,
even if the GM was following each AP book to the letter.
The reason being that things happen that are unexpected in game and RL.

So this game would no matter what would be an alternate future.
But it will give you a chance to spill your long term goals, and give the GM ideas for characters, events, locations, ... etc.

The GM could also get in playing as a player.

All, just a note to let everyone know my family is right in the middle of the winter storm projected to hit Atlanta tonight. There is a decent chance we will lose power, though of course, we're hoping for the best.

If our power goes out, I will not be able to post anything until it's restored. I'll try to post updates if/when needed as the situation develops.

Bridgette, I think your idea sounds interesting, but I will unfortunately have to forgo a place at the moment. I'm just now getting into a more consistent posting pattern with the games I've running, so until that's more established, I'll have to pass on playing for now.

The game idea is in a pre-setup stage.
If there is interest then I proceed onto the next step.

Unfortunately I'm also going to have to pass for similar reasons. I'm already trying to whittle back on the number of games I'm in.

I give you my full permission and blessing to use Raxus however you'd like for your story though. Good luck.

I still need to know if Belka, Arianna, or Bydar are interested.

If not I could use the time to flesh out the history of events either for the the game or for fiction of this future.
As it'll take me time to get things fleshed out.

The children are randomly generated.
Stats, Gender, Race, Height, Weight, Hair and Eye color are random though based on parents, the Class is either picked or semi-random.

Did the Raxus' generation lastnight, since he gave permission to use Raxus in game/story even though he's passing at the moment.
It'll take me a month or two to get all the history made.

Hi all, sorry for my silence. We made it through the freeze last week, but the thaw afterward resulted in a neighbor's tree falling which took out our power and internet. Everything is good now, back to posting.

Guys, I think we've lost Ari. At least she hasn't posted for quite awhile on any of her aliases that I could see. Do you think we should start looking to replace her, give her a bit more time, leave her as an NPC diplomat or what?

I've been thinking that Raxus needed a change of weapons soon, but I wasn't sure what to use.

I'm thinking a big honkin' key would be pretty cool. Treat it as a greatclub, or earth breaker, maybe?

Why not get a special greatsword, where one edge is designed as the key for the lock.

A Keyblade? ;) I see what you did there... If someone else takes Craft Magic Arms & Armour, we could make it really special...

As for the size -- if the DM is cool with it being weapon-sized, it's perfectly fine with me. ^^

Raxus is more of a blunt weapon kinda guy. An earth breaker is more his style.

It sounds like a great idea to Raxus, but he doesn't really have much to say.

Bridgette's a barbarian/monk, and doesn't really get the magic stuff.

I believe Ari is gone.

Haldhin hasn't posted in any of his games since Feb 28th. The fact that he's gone from all of them indicates something happened in real life, not that he's just abandoning this game. I don't think he would do that without a word.

That being said, I really hope he's alright.
