Mm... maybe something that takes a parent's charisma modifier into account for alignment influence purposes. I can see an 18 CHA mother having more 'influence' than a 8 Charisma dad (or vice versa if dad had the higher CHA stat)
Truth to tell, I'm a bit on the lazy side so I'd just wing it myself or hand it over to the GM for my own needs, but your system seems pretty efficient.
Bydar
I'm not sure. Kindness certainly would be required, though I'm not sure motherly would appeal to him as much, oddly enough; though obviously he's going to need to have kids if the 'ruling line' is to continue.
Bydar
Looks like I can add one more thing to "weird things gamers make tables about" :)
Well, Gygax once made a sub table on the type of prostitute a player character could run into so you could say weird tables has a proud history :)
Besides, we're talking founding a kingdom. We've got to be fruitful and multiply and all that jazz ;) If I were playing any other ruler but a cleric of Shelyn I'd probably have folks arranging my marriage by now for political purposes.
Bydar's is already in his late teens and he's not getting any younger!!
:D
Actually, I'm not sure, how long has this campaign been going in setting time? Some of us may have hit birthdays already

Looks like I can add one more thing to "weird things gamers make tables about" :)
But what I made was not a table, but a system.
And I've run across some Home-made 1st/2nd Ed stuff that really added to the table count of 1st/2nd Ed, and also had a similar system to the one I made.
Raxus Half-blood
I know all about the "lady of the night" subtable. It's a recurring joke in my group. It actually gets used with alarming frequency.
I'm not saying I don't like the system. It looks like it does pretty much what you set out to do with it. I just find it conceptually amusing.

Looking at the hieght ref image, I don't think most of the female PCs would have trouble.

Ok, since we're focusing on the Tuskwater side of things (and rightly so) first, I thought I'd make a few notes for myself here on the other matters.
Bydar would like to see if the refugee immigrants have any skilled miners or construction types among them. This might help get the mine going sooner for the former, and allow easier shifts for the latter.
He definitely thinks the province construction folks should get their two weeks off to see family. In fact, he'd feel a bit bad about them not getting more time before this. The lost province improvement will suck, but not nearly as much as the unrest would imo
Yes, let's meet with the merc captain and hear him out when we have the time.
Hanspur worship could be tricky. The best thing Bydar can think to do is getting to know whoever is leading the local worshipers and getting to know their stances (And possibly alignments). Temerith, being an inquisitor, can detect various alignments IIRC so we should be able to find out some basics on if their leadership leans G, E, or hovers right at N on the chaotic scale. Maybe a priest of a CG good god or goddess like Desna should be invited in, so folks who feel unruly would have another option and would keep the Hanspur congregation lighter.
For the Hunters, maybe we should count the venison and fur goods in their equivilent for tax purposes . It seems to be in this economy, barter is as good as coin or close to it.
Bydar may suggest donating the venison in part as a gift for the province construction workers as a thank you. Maybe hold a special day to celebrate their hard work. Or we could donate it to any of the poor

Everyone in the party who wants one, add one puppy to your inventory.
The dogs are Bull Mastiffs with the Young template.
They'll reach full size in 6-8 months.
The puppies that aren't chosen by party members will go to Yiv and Oleg.
I'm going to put out a call to merchants that I need more dogs for the Kennels to start breeding dogs for the Wardens and Marshals. Giving every squad of cops and hunters a dog or two would really up their effectiveness.

Sorry for the absence, folks. I've had some health issues for the past few weeks that prompted multiple trips to the hospital for tests (October's been a bad month - first the pneumonia and now some mystery illness). So far everything's come up inconclusive, but it's been pretty stressful nevertheless. Today is the best I've felt in three weeks, so hopefully whatever I've got is on the mend. Should be back to regular posting now (fingers crossed!).

Thanks everybody!

This sounds like a good idea to me.

Agreed. And besides, we can't really afford to spend much on improvements this month anyway.

These all sound good to me.

Suggestions for the next Realm Turn (Realm Turn 5)
Claim One Province: Northroad (1 BP)
Let the provincial construction crews have their two weeks off, so only build One Province Improvement:
1) Build Road in Northroad province (1 BP). That will finally get us connected to Oleg's Trading Post and the South Rostland Road.
Settlement Improvements:
1) (Optional) Build One House this turn as our free-build option (3 BP).
Thoughts?

Dm, I feel a bit foolish. I had intended to have Bydar load up on spells like Detect Evil, and so on, but I realize I hadn't updated my spell list in awhile. Is it too late to do so given he would normally cast it quietly right before they approached so they might not notice, and then he'd check them out as discretely as he could?
DM Haldhin
I'm going to give everyone a chance to chime in at this point.
This meeting has been a tough one to adjudicate, for reasons which are now becoming clear to the party.
To be completely honest, I thought this encounter was going to totally different direction. But right now, I'm not entirely sure where it's headed. Should be fun to find out. :)
Bydar
I realize Bydar is just agreeing to the exchange of information and not a total agreement on 'we each go our own way' but that's because the latter could be twisted to be "We put babies on pikes, and you're okay with that" :)

Their whole "screw everyone, take what you can and hold onto it" philosophy only really works if you're the baddest guy on the block.
At least they won't be surprised or upset when someone else turns that philosophy back on them.
I wonder if they have a "biggest guy is in charge" system, and I wonder if the not-evil ones could be reasoned with.

I'm not sure if "screw everyone" gets all the nuances out there, but I generally agree with your point. They have to be able to back it up for it to work. If Reis is telling the truth, they have been in charge for 10 years, so either they're actually good at backing it up, or they haven't really been tested.
I wonder if they have a "biggest guy is in charge" system, and I wonder if the not-evil ones could be reasoned with.
The group isn't sure, but given what you've seen, Reis isn't the largest of the EVIL people, but everyone defers to him.
They likely are using the "Might makes Right" system of law.
Probably closer to a legal system that treats nobles (Reis and his kind) differently than commoners. In game terms, everything pointed to an orderly, regimented society in the town (i.e. Lawful).
-----
As a side note, this was an interesting encounter for me to run because it ended in a drastically different place than I expected. It should be fun to see how Reis and his crew impact your lives down the road. :)
Oh, and by the way, the name of the town is Rholdem.
Belka Blackpaw
Alas, it shall forever be known as Sarnath... That or Sharktown, or even Bokrugburg. ;)
So, shall we visit the Lizardmen next? If we have a nice, big lake or marsh area near Corbenic, we could offer them amnesty in return for an oath of allegiance. They could be stewards of the marsh, and guard our flank against aquatic enemies. ^^
Bydar
@ DM Haldhin- I'm glad you're enjoying the twists. I'd chalk that up to high diplomacy rolls and our own quirkiness. :) I will say that between giant talking wolves, dragon led kobolds, and now these guys, we certainly have interesting neighbors. :)
@ Belka- I'm really tempted to go to the lizard men too, just to see what they're like. We might get into a fight, but we might make yet more unusual allies or at least get a lay on the land in that area. Of course, with Rholdem being in skirmishes with them now and then, or so it seems, it could be a tricky line to walk.
DM Haldhin
Okay, sorry for being gone, parenting stuff. Everything's fine, just a little boy who doesn't like sleep. :)
You know roughly where the lizardfolk are located, but you don't know the exact spot. You can certainly head that direction if you like, but it could take a week or more to find them.
Also remember that some fey visited Arianna with additional demands after they drove out the Black Guild members.
Not trying to steer you one way or the other, but you can also send out Happs and/or Yiv to find them. (They're around to kind of do the "exploration" stuff when you would rather do something else).
Just let me know how you want to proceed.
Arianna Silvermane
Agree we could send Happs and Yiv to scout out the lizardfolk settlement before we head there to attempt to meet with them.
I wouldn't mind attempting to take care of the fey demands while we're out if there is time.
@ Bridgette: Hope you get better soon!

I've only heard about it recently. I admit, some of the class hybrids look cool. I'm a sucker for the concept of swashbucklers, but I've never played a gunslinger so now that swashbucklers blend those with fighters, I'm not sure I'd be able to play them.
