Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

Krenrath's place is still a little shaky so well hold off on the animal and stuff but as far as color goes I call green. :3

HP: 40/40 AC: 17:13:14 Saves:6:5:5 Init: 2, Dip+11 Per: +11 SenMot +9

Bridgette will likely be using; blue, green, red, white, and or Yellow in hers, though she might use others as well.

V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

I also vote for caution over speed for the exploration.

Raxus' personal crest will be an upward soaring dragon with the tail of the bird of Shelyn coiling downward behind it.

Something like This in silver with This tail on a white background.

I really like the idea of the personal heraldry, as well as something to represent the entire realm. If everyone manages to create something, I'll make it worth your time. :)

HP: 40/40 AC: 17:13:14 Saves:6:5:5 Init: 2, Dip+11 Per: +11 SenMot +9

I've already started with Photoshop yesterday evening.

Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

I'm not sure I have the materials to really MAKE it, but I'll see what I can do :)

I want a hand-forged shield, for real too, none of that faux-combat aluminum stuff. Drawn, painted, and sealed against the elements.

Pulling the wool, spinning the yarn, and weaving your own tabard bearing the heraldry gets you a bonus.

(I actually know some former LARPers that got into blacksmithing in an attempt to recreate "realistic" armor and shields. After a few months of effort, all they had was a big credit card bill and some unusable metal slag roughly formed into a flat circle. :) )

Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

Heh. I was speaking of photoshop programs and the like. Many of which I don't have. :) How about cut and pasted images mixed together and filled with color real nice ? :)

Sure, whatever you want to do. More to just give me an idea of what everyone else thinks/wants.

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

For Krenrath's personal crest I am thinking a crane before silver leafed bamboo trees backdrop.

Female Bard 4 {HP 30/30; AC 17, T 13, FF 14; F+2 R+7 W+5/+6 vs. fey; Init+3 Perc+8} {Effects: none}

For Arianna's crest I'm thinking something with a fox...

Female Bard 4 {HP 30/30; AC 17, T 13, FF 14; F+2 R+7 W+5/+6 vs. fey; Init+3 Perc+8} {Effects: none}

I'm also in favor of safety over speed with respect to Happs and Yiv's exploration.

For this turn, can/should we claim another hex - perhaps Woodbridge? And if so, can we build a road in that hex? Trying to get us a route to the gold mine as quickly as possible.

Seems like Happs and Yiv will proceed cautiously in their explorations. Krenrath indicated a preference for South-Southeast. That would keep them on the right side of Tuskwater Lake.

Claiming a plains province costs 1 BP, and you can build a road immediately for 1 BP.

Doing that in Woodbridge (which already possesses a bridge!) also serves the dual purpose of being a good start to linking Oleg's Trading Post to Corbenic.

Female Bard 4 {HP 30/30; AC 17, T 13, FF 14; F+2 R+7 W+5/+6 vs. fey; Init+3 Perc+8} {Effects: none}

... And Arianna just requested Bydar send Happs and Yiv to cautiously explore to the West-Southwest (to the LEFT side of Tuskwater Lake) in the IC thread.

I vote for claiming Woodbridge and immediately building a road.

HP: 40/40 AC: 17:13:14 Saves:6:5:5 Init: 2, Dip+11 Per: +11 SenMot +9

I would also agree with claiming Woodbridge and immediately building a road.

Ari, do you want me to come up with the companions that were part of the first expedition, or do you want to do it? I'm fine either way, just let me know.

As of now, this is what I'm seeing:

(Bold items need resolution before proceeding to the next turn).

Claim Province: (1/turn)
Claim Woodbridge as part of the realm.
*As the name implies, this province contains a wooden bridge that spans the river - it's a free improvement that comes with the province.*

Province/Terrain Improvements: (2/turn)
1. Construct a road through Woodbridge
2. TBD

Settlement Improvements: (1/turn + free House, Manor, or Mansion)
Free. TBD (this is your free house if you want it, but it does cost 3 BP so you may elect to not build it)
1. Granary 2/2

Other items:
Events from last turn:
Bydar/Arianna - completed (for now).

Events from current turn:
Bydar - completed
Arianna - completed
Krenrath - completed
Bridgette - completed
Raxus - in process

Raxus:
"Completion" for you means deciding whether or not Sara is allowed to stay with you as part of your personal retinue.

Council Items:
Only one this turn was a decision on Happs and Yiv exploring unknown lands. There is currently support to allow them to explore, using caution.

Current suggestions for the direction of exploration are (basically) to the left of Tuskwater Lake (Arianna), or to the right of Tuskwater Lake (Krenrath). Need to finalize direction for them to explore

Female Bard 4 {HP 30/30; AC 17, T 13, FF 14; F+2 R+7 W+5/+6 vs. fey; Init+3 Perc+8} {Effects: none}

Could we build a Farm for our other Province/Terrain Improvement? Either in the Rivermeet hex or the Woodbridge hex?

If we have enough lodgings for everyone in Corbenic at this time, it might be best to hold off constructing the new House.

Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

With so many requests for big upcoming projects, holding off on a house (And the 3 BP) if our population is fine with it might be best. It could save us points to work on academies, cathedrals, and the like later. Let's claim Woodbridge, definitely. Good pick that. Who doesn't love a trolless free bridge?

Will the possible farm be productive by the time it goes up? Or will we end up making one in a season where it won't do much good to feed the people and store the grains?

My apologies for not realizing at first that we were giving contrary signals in the exploration party's final direction. I guess I heard generic 'south' and figured we could kill two birds with one stone.

Ari wants a quick council meeting anyway to fill in about her recent letter and the news it brings. If everyone is okay with that, we can put tighter security on things and mention what Bydar and Ari have in motion along with what Krenrath is hoping for and let the council decide. Or if that slows us down, we could take a vote in here.

V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

Raxus is not really comfortable with the idea of servitude, especially from a woman. He will definitely allow her to stay, and provide as much as he can for her, but the ultimate decision to stay or go is hers.

I really appreciate the situation you've put Raxus in by making his first personal follower a woman. That is definitely going to force growth for him. You've done a good job setting up situations of ethical and emotional complexity in this game.

Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

Raxus will be alright. Bydar thinks that he's the purest of souls and thus far it rings true. The biggest threat to him maybe when he ends up getting some lady NPC to fall for him hard because he's so darn nice and yet bad ass.

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

A few things.

I would rather we held a council meeting sense Krenrath has to propose his spellcaster testing, education system, and discovery to the others.

Also want to remind everyone that Krenrath can craft magic items and sense each phase is a month he has plenty of time to work on stuff.

Lastly I feel like a recording but it does need to be addressed otherwise I will take it all for myself sense I would not mind certain items and I can use the money to craft. xP

Loot Pile:

+1 scythe
cloak of resistance +1
ring of protection +1
Potion of cure light wounds x2
Scroll of bear's endurance (3rd CL)
Scroll of hold person (3rd CL)
Alchemical silver dagger
A leather book wrapped in oily cloth

MISC equipment from the bandits (non-magical):
Armor and weapons worth 300 gp.

Magical equipment:
+1 rapier
+1 composite longbow (+2)
amulet of natural armor +1
20 +1 arrows
potion of cure moderate wounds (4)
potion of lesser restoration

Akiros' magical gear:
+1 longsword
+1 beast bane arrow (3)

Special items:
+1 barbarian leather armor (worn by Stag Lord)
This suit consists of a heavy cloak, gloves, kilt, and boots, but leaves the wearer's chest bare. It actually functions just as well as any suit of magic leather armor.

Stag's Helm (worn by Stag Lord)
This striking helmet is crafted to resemble the skull of a mighty stag. Although made from bone, the antlers and helm are as strong as metal. When worn, the helm greatly enhances eyesight and hearing, granting a +2 competence bonus on Perception checks. In addition, once per day the helm may be called upon to enhance any ranged attack made by the wearer to make an insightful shot. Activating this ability is a free action, and once activated, your next ranged attack against a target within 30 feet is made as if that target were flat-footed against you—this allows a rogue to gain the benefit of sneak attack with this shot. If you don’t make a ranged attack within 1 round of activating this power, the insight fades and is wasted for that day. A worshiper of Erastil who wears this helm may utilize the insightful shot ability up to 3 times per day.

----------

The group also finds additional treasure and material in crates and boxes, including 10 longbows, 260 arrows, 5 short swords, 5 spears, four 50-foot lengths of hemp rope, a set of chisels, 2 hammers, 3 tins of iron nails, and 4 suits of leather armor. Other boxes contain mundane trade goods like pelts, furs, tobacco, iron, bronze, miscellaneous weapons and armor (none masterwork or magic), and miscellaneous adventuring gear and tools. in total, these items are worth a combined total of 6,850 gp. (Some boxes are marked with Oleg's symbol; returning his goods to him reduces the value by 2,000 gp)

In addition, one chest contains 4,500 cp, 2,052 sp, 894 gp, and 21 pp, while a large bag contains 2,900 gp in various pieces of stolen jewelry.

If I remember right only Bydar claimed anything and it was the evil book. Oleg's stuff was returned and the rest faded into the background until now. You know some of this stuff could even be used for our budding city, such as the non magical equipment from the bandits given to our city guard.

P.S. DM sent you a PM

Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

*Facepalm* Yeah. Sorry about the loot. We are one not so materially minded group I guess. I thought we had considered turning the Stag Lord helm over to Jhod, but I don't think we ever confirmed it. I know we returned Oleg's stuff to him.

I have to agree with the above statement.

Ari wrote:

Sure, each province can have up to four "improvements", not including roads, canals, and bridges. Settlements take up 2 slots, so Rivermeet has 2 open, while Woodbridge has all 4 open.

Both are plains so the prep time is "immediate" for construction. A farm costs 2 BP and takes 1 turn.

-----
Bydar

You're also going to start collecting some taxes this turn too. It won't be much for a while, but the income will help offset some of the basic construction you're doing.

The way I'm going to do farms is that they provide their full bonus (-2 Consumption) in Summer and Fall, and 1/2 their bonus in Winter and Spring. So you build it this turn, next turn (3rd month of Fall) you get the full bonus, then you get -1 Consumption for 6 months. So it won't be operating at full capacity, but you'll still get something.

No apologies needed. I'll let you all decide if you want a council meeting or not. I'll let you know in advance if the NPCs have any significant input for the discussion, and none of them do on the exploration issue.

-----
Raxus

Glad you liked it, and thanks for the compliment. I'd also return the favor by thanking everyone for creating such interesting and well-rounded characters. The fact that the game has emotional and moral dilemmas is only possible because I'm working with a great cast of actors.

We'll see how things turn out with Sara. :)

Loot

IIRC, there was some discussion about giving the Stag Helm to Akiros, and I assume you let him keep his equipment.

Looks like Sara is sticking around.
I've started a base start point but need more details like;
Race (+ subrace: i.e. Ulfen), Clothes/Armour, Description; Height, Build (i.e. Curvy/Slim, How Buff etc), Skin Colour/texture, Eye Colour, Hair style and Colour, etc

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

Yep we gave the stag helm away. I just forgot to remove it from the list. >.<

Thanks for keeping on us about the loot, Kenrath.

I think I've mentioned this before, but this is the first time we've had a big magic loot drop, so it's worth bringing up again-

My thoughts on dividing treasure go like this:

We shouldn't worry about making sure our characters have monetarily equal gear. Classes are different and have different needs at different levels, and no matter what we do we won't really ever be "equal" in all ways, so it isn't really worth the time to try for it.

Instead, we should just give gear to those who it seems to fit best, with priority going to shoring up the party's weaknesses.

This will mean that melee characters will get the expensive gear in the early game and casters will get it in the later game.

Any gear that isn't claimed is sold, or given to appropriate NPCs. Cash is divided up equally among the group.

V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

With the above thoughts in mind, here's my proposed loot division. Please discuss:

Arianna
+1 Rapier (to replace the non-magic one she already has)
Potion of Cure Mod
Potion of Cure Light

Bridgette
+1 Longbow (she has the dex, strength and proficiency for it)
20 +1 arrows
Alchemical Silver Dagger (As a multi attack melee build, Damage Reduction is a bigger problem for her)
Potion of Cure Mod

Bydar
Ring of Protection (because he should get *something*)

Kenrath
The book, whatever it is
Scroll of Bear's Endurance (add to his spell book)
Scroll of Hold Person (add to his spell book)
Potion of Lesser Restoration (lowest fort save = most likely to take stat damage)
Potion of Cure Mod
Potion of Cure Light

Raxus:
Cloak of Resistance (raxus has the lowest saves in the group)
Amulet of Natural Armor (raxus has the lowest AC in the group)
Potion of Cure Mod

Bridgette:
Ulfen female, gray-white hair pulled back in a long braid. Relatively pale skin, gray eyes. Large scar across right side of her face from three claws that dug deep - from her nose/forehead down her cheek, almost to her neck. Leather armor, sword and shield on her back. Thin and wiry. Six feet tall - roughly comes up to Raxus' shoulder.

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

Bydar already claimed the book as it is both religious and heal skill related. Both useless to me. As for the scrolls unless I am mistaken they are divine in nature so I can't use them for anything as well.

You may want to take the wish list into account concerning loot as that was the point of making them. So going to disagree on where some of the loot goes.

P.S. Will post what I think later, late lunch and so very hungry. x3

Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

Yeah, the book was

Quote:

The book is Delights & Delicacies, an unholy text of Urgathoa that contains details and descriptions of nearly every disease on Golarion. It is not her most important text, but certainly one of importance to her worshippers.

Having Delights & Delicacies as a reference provides a +5 circumstance bonus to Heal checks related to diseases.

Bydar already blessed it to remove the taint, but it's the one thing he insisted on holding onto.

not that I'd snub my nose at the ring as well, mind you

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

Here is what I think. A little change and detail for your viewing pleasure. :3

Arianna
+1 Rapier
Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds

Bridgette
Alchemical Silver Dagger
+1 Composite Longbow (+2)
20 +1 Arrows
Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds

Bydar
Scroll of Bear's Endurance*
Scroll of Hold Person*
Delights and Delicacies

Krenrath
Ring of Protection +1
Potion of Cure Light Wounds
Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds
Potion of Lesser Restoration

Raxus
Cloak of Resistance +1
Potion of Cure Light Wounds
Amulet of Natural Armor +1
Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds

Money per PC
4 pp, 180 gp, 418 sp, 904 cp or 270 gp, 8 sp, 4 cp

Leftover for NPCs
Non-magical Armor and Weapons (300 gp worth)
+1 Longsword (Akiros)
3 +1 Beast Bane Arrows (Akiros)
Stag's Helm (Akiros)
+1 Barbarian Leather Armor

Leftover for Sale
+1 Scythe
Items and Goods (4,850 gp worth)
Jewelry (2,900 gp worth)

*Depends on DM confirmation that they are divine and not arcane. They did come off a cleric after all.
________________________________________________________________________

Now that I am thinking about it didn't we do something to the body of a Tatzlwyrm?

Don't forget Krenrath can craft wondrous items, he won't charge council members anything but cost. If he gets to many request he will make a waiting list dependent on first come first serve or ease of creation. ;)

Bydar:

Something that I totally forgot, did Bydar give Krenrath the items Arumil left behind yet?

V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

That list works for me.

Bydar gets a bit left out though. The rest of us might want to chip in and get him something nice with our shares of the cash.

Authoritative Vestments and Just Scales are pretty inexpensive and seem like they'd be right up his alley and useful for his station.

Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

Ok, I think we might want a council meeting since it's been requested and no one else has objected.

Krenrath:
I don't remember myself. I can have him present it at this meeting if you like.

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

@Bydar
Sure

Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 51/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}

Ok, started up the 'council meeting'

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

Is everyone agreed on the list I proposed for loot dispersement?

Btw also looked up our tatzlwyrm encounter. Here is what we got.

Large Tatzlwyrm:
1 suit of heavy armor, 2 suits of medium armor, or 3 suits of light armor.

Additionally, it's claws and fangs could be crafted into daggers. There is enough material for 14 daggers.

Smaller Tatzlwyrms (each):
2 suits of light armor.

There are enough claws and fangs for 6 daggers each.

There were two of the smaller ones. Plus it lead us to a pit with coins and gems worth 3,450 gp. Which as far as I know we never did anything with.

P.S. Why do I feel like an accountant right now. xP

Female Bard 4 {HP 30/30; AC 17, T 13, FF 14; F+2 R+7 W+5/+6 vs. fey; Init+3 Perc+8} {Effects: none}

I'm good with the loot disbursement.

Maybe we should give everyone on the Council a tatzlwyrm-dagger, and have tatzlwyrm somewhere on our national coat-of-arms. I still like the idea a picture of a unicorn defeating a tatzlwyrm.

Thanks for keeping up with the loot, Krenrath!

[sarcasm] BTW: I think we should give Bydar the +1 Scythe - wouldn't that send a lovely message to the masses! ;) [/sarcasm]

Question for DM Haldhin: How long has it been since Arianna was abducted by the 'purple kobolds'?

Please forgive my rambling - I'm posting with a 102-degree F fever, plus two of the kids have it as well... Not a lively weekend in our house!

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

Just a thought but you know I think we should keep the tatzlwyrm claw daggers as sort of special service rewards or part of holding a position. Maybe place a symbol of the office it is tied to on them, later they can be enchanted with abilities useful for said office. The left overs can be given out and personalized as needed to anyone of the kingdom that distinguishes themselves through service.

Or maybe it is a pointless detail. Like I said just a thought. x3

Edit- Take it easy Arianna sounds like a nasty fever. Hope you get better.

I know its a while off, but I got to be honest, as soon as we get a chance, I think we ought to claim the province with the gold mine and set it up. THat's got to be worth some major building points

Regarding loot, do you want to donate anything into the Treasury? It's 4,000 gp = 1 BP.

Just FYI, the rules assume the realm treasury is separate from your personal wealth though, so once you donate it, it's the realm's money. You can withdraw money, but the exchange rate goes down to 1 BP = 2,000 gp (and it causes Unrest).

-----

Arianna, it's been +/- 8 months.

-----

Bydar, not overstepping bounds at all. I'd suggest you go ahead and start the meeting, assuming everyone is present.

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

Alright added the items and my share of the gold to my sheet. Also put in stuff from the tatzlwyrm encounter so revising my loot list concerning money and NPC stash a bit. Sense it was never decided what we did with the body I am leaving it as is. Also do we get full value when selling magic items or 50%?

Updated Stuff:

Money per PC
2510 gp, 8 sp, 4 cp

Leftover for NPCs
Non-magical Armor and Weapons (300 gp worth)
+1 Barbarian Leather Armor
Large Tatzlwyrm Material
2 Small Tatzlwyrm Material

Leftover for Sale
+1 Scythe

There are some rules for selling items (in the shared folder), but they only apply for things with a gp value greater than 4,000. So anything you sell that have a gp value below 4,000 is assumed to be sold for 1/2 value.

-----

I also wanted to expand on Bydar's initiative to go ahead and start the meeting without my approval - during these realm turns, I have absolutely no problem with you all taking some control and telling me what your character does. I'll jump in as needed, but for the most part, I won't have an issue if you want to write a post dealing with what your character is up to, either in his/her spare time, or as part of his/her duties running the realm.

My goal is to put you all in situations that allow a story to happen - and to see how the characters change, grow, or react to the events that affect them. I am trying provide a few types of story progression: 1. events based on a timeline that happen regardless of character action (winter, spring, summer, etc), 2. random events (Sara showing up, Krenrath learning something important), and 3. reactions by other NPCs based on past character actions (friendly Sootscale interactions). Point being, the story is ongoing and currently happening - but if you want to add something, I highly encourage it!

If you have a question about something or want me to review something before it's posted, just PM it and I'll look over it asap.

This is your story as much as it is mine. The sandbox is big enough for all of us to play in, so please don't feel constrained to limiting character interaction only to what I present.

-----

And Arianna - hope you feel better too! Sorry I didn't say that earlier.

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

Well a +1 Scythe is market value 4,000 gp so I guess 2,000 gp after being sold. So that is 400 gp for each PC.

DM sent you a PM.

How does a +1 scythe have a market value of 4,000 gp?

V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

I get a market value of 2,307 gp.

That's 2000 for the enchantment, and 307 for a masterwork scythe.

Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4

Oh sorry I thought the price given was it's cost, which you double for market. But other way around it seems, really should just say market price rather then base price. It throws me off. So Raxus is right 2307 gp market price, each PC gets 230 gp and 7 sp then. Thought it was a little off too that's why I held on adding it to my sheet. x3

Bydar, please begin the meeting assuming Ari has arrived.
