Kinetic blasts count as a type of weapon for the purpose of feats such as Weapon Focus.
So you can take Weapon Focus(Fire Blast). Everything else are just infusions to alter the blast. At least that's how I read it. If you could instead take Weapon Focus(Kinetic Blast) I'm not sure but I don't think so. Going to read on the forums.

Weapon focus propably has to be with Kinetic Blast without getting more specific, or it becomes really complicated with composite blasts.
Another thing I noticed is the concentration for casting defensively (or any other concentration). Let me show you
Level 1 -> DC 17 -> 1d20 + CON Mod + 1
Level 2 -> DC 17 -> 1d20 + CON Mod + 2
Level 3 -> DC 17 -> 1d20 + CON Mod + 3
Level 4 -> DC 19 -> 1d20 + CON Mod + 4
Level 5 -> DC 19 -> 1d20 + CON Mod + 5
Level 6 -> DC 21 -> 1d20 + CON Mod + 6
Level 18 -> DC 33 -> 1d20 + CON Mod + 18
Which means, you have through all levels a fair chance to botch your rolls. If you ask yourself how I got the idea: Kinetic blast and defense wild talents are always considered to have an effective spell level equal to 1/2 the kineticist's class level (to a maximum effective spell level of 9th at kineticist level 18th).
Which is mostly ok for the ranged kineticist but completely negates your idea of an kinetic blade wielder. You forgot to roll that btw. Or my little dragon forgot to bite you once more per round.

You can use this form infusion once as part of an attack action, a charge action, or a full-attack action in order to make melee attacks with your kinetic blade. Since it's part of another action (and isn't an action itself), using this wild talent doesn't provoke any additional attacks of opportunity.
Thats from Kinetic blade, so no need to cast defensively or take an AoO

The minions come along and two dozens of them take the dragon up over their heads and carry it to the fountain.
Then the group divides and half of them grab Thragurim and the other half Korra to throw them into the fountain. They don't care about protests or such.
The dragon gets up cursing and hissing and angryly stomps of disappearing.
