Foxy Quickpaw
This is an arena setting to challenge a group of kineticists with different monsters.
Female Half Elf Kineticist
Koora gets tired of waiting for Skrihl and takes a step back from the goblin to attack it with a fire blast.
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
She drops the last goblin and listens strained if the bell tolls once again.
Kitsune Game Master
As the fight is over applause is heard from a flying tribune with an audience of maybe 50 spectators that suddenly becomes visible.
50 feet besides the battle field a fountain appears. And out of nowhere like the combatants before appear a dozen cylindrical yellow creatures wearing blue jeans. Some with one eye some with two and they speak some brabbling language which has some resemblance with common but not enough to understand it.
They walk over the battlefield and collect everything on the ground and carry it to the fountain throwing it in. They drag the goblins by a leg, collect the bones in buckets and the rats by their tails.
Also four of them move Marique in a combination of carrying and dragging over the ground over to the fountain. In an combined effort they roll her over the brim into the water. Splash
Everyone else is free to move on their own.
Female Human Kineticist - Water
Marique notices that she is not unconscious yet, but only staggered. As she is dragged insensibly by those minions she starts to resist, but as that would be a strenuous action she instead suffers the handling in silence.
Female Half Elf Kineticist
Korra is worn out. She walks over to the fountain and lets herself fall in.
M Ratfolk Kineticist Aether 1
"Skrihl not like baths, but seems this is a good bath." he says as he jumps in
M Dwarf Kineticist Earth 1 13 HP
"Those bastards hit bloody hard." he mutters as he climbs in
Kitsune Game Master
The rats come back to life and immediately flee out of the water and further in the same direction. Suddenly they disappear like they were swallowed up by the surrounding air.
The goblins jump up and high five each other, that they dropped one of the 'heros' and make jokes about the miserable aim of some of them. Then they follow the rats until tey too disappear.
The bones dissolve in the water and once they are gone a group of five humans appear in the fountain. It's like a happy reunion. With the chit chat it becomes clear that it is a family with three grown up kids. Only the grand mother is missing. They also get out of the fountain and leave the arena in the same manner.
Kitsune Game Master
Also all heroes back to full health

Kitsune Game Master
You can assume, that a fountain that would bring you back after the worst death effects will also remove burn ;)
Male Human Pally 10 ___ HP 85
However, it specifically calls out NOTHING except rest removing burn
Kitsune Game Master
You brought a clock and checked the time? Rest is not sleep and once you step into the fountain you are in a time pocket where eight hours pass within one second. Then the time pocket opens and you're abck to normal time. :P
Also if you check the audience you'll notice most of the core deities are present. So see if they care for these rules when providing the equipment for their games. (And pray they don't lower their thumbs at the end.)
Male Human Pally 10 ___ HP 85
I just wanted to see if you had a reasonably fun reason
Kitsune Game Master
You mean besides GM fiat :o)
I checked with wish and miracle, but they are rather disappointing.
Male Human Pally 10 ___ HP 85
there is a precedent for speeding rest, the ring of sustenance, so it isn't too bizarre to have an in game device that does the same on a more dramatic scale
Kitsune Game Master
As the four stand around discussing the new abilities and the nice equipment they got the large bell tolls again. But at first nothing is seen.

M Ratfolk Kineticist Aether 1
Kitsune Game Master
Yes it is. But it wasn't alive to start with (undead). And after I checked that Thraggurim has no precise shot and didn't use his kinetic blade it is even well considering the duration of the fight.
Female Human Kineticist - Water
"What are you throwing at it? Copper? Or do you make higher investments." Marique jokes.
Male Human Pally 10 ___ HP 85
Kitsune Game Master
The shadow clinges to Korra in melee. Everyone else is free to throw things from afar or join into melee. Thraggurim simply rolls to bad to hit when shooting a blast into melee.
Throw another coin? That worked quite fine. Also if confused, you might need to reread the last few posts as I had to edit them according to the actual hits.
M Ratfolk Kineticist Aether 1
Thank you

Korra falls down to the ground and says "I'm too weak. I can't carry myself any more."
Kitsune Game Master
Out of nowhere the minions appear again and carry Korra to the fountain throwing her in. Then they go back to where they came from.
Kitsune Game Master
I'm thinking about taking an encounter from an AP. We would face a CR 10 Necromancer supported by two CR 5 Minions. The whole CR is given as 11. What level should our group be to face that? In the AP it would be 8
Male Human Pally 10 ___ HP 85
I would be tempted to try at 5 or 7 possibly. & would be good as we get access to our expanded ellements. maybe try it at 6, see if we survive, and if we dont then try 7
