Astraden Limhaare
Wisdom: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Astraden calls on Olidammara's charm, making hand gestures to denote personal pulchritude. A soft glow settles around her, giving her features an orange cast. "Hey, Allip!" she yells, her voice taking on an inexplicable rhythm. "Ready to go? Flapping lips, getting a little conversational?"
this is gonna be a really dumb idea
Surprise round: Cast eagle's splendor. Nondetection lasts 2950 rounds, invisibility lasts 46 rounds, Farrukh's magic weapon lasts 47 rounds, Tanith's magic weapon lasts 48 rounds, hide from undead lasts 49 rounds, and eagle's splendor lasts 50 rounds.
Zalamandra
Why, what are you planning on doing?
EDIT: Anyway...
Surprise Round: Actions
Standard Action: Cast resistance on myself
As Astraden casts her spell, Zalamandra speaks the incantation for a minor protective magic. Hopefully, it'll help her weather the allip's babbling...
Active Effects
Shield: 99/100 rounds
Resistance: 10/10 rounds
Farrukh Al'Khatel
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Farrukh shivers as the empty feeling washes over him.
He focuses on the cultist that just cast a spell of some sort.
Favored Target on Mr. Purple Border. I assume I'm still hidden?
Cuetzpalli
Spiny will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 +2 if heroism adds to saves
Cuetzpalli waits for the battle to unfold some more before acting, whispering to Spiny to do the same.
Not acting in surprise round other than to fight defensively. Another busy day today, hopefully I can get another post in later if needed.
Dungeon Kobold
Yeah, Farrukh remains unseen. Also, he doesn't need to save again, not that it matters.
Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Tanith feels his symbol go cold for a moment. The feeling quickly passes, but it's clear that the allip is unaffected by his prayer.
Tanith 'Kordson' Creed
=(
Tanith shakes his head but remains unfazed.
Eben MacTeague
So for the sake of argument and non-wasteful resource management, I'm saying Eben didn't start using performance until after Astraden was finished buffing.
Eben zips ahead, staying behind Farrukh, his bow at the ready. The loathsome babbling of the allip tickles at his sanity, but Eben, very well-versed in tuning out the catcalls of a displeased crowd, is perhaps less susceptible than most.
Will+Well-Versed: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 4 = 21
Surprise round actions: move to the doorway, continue distraction performance as a free action.
And for reference in the upcoming rounds: do those pillars on the map grant cover?
Heroism lasts 493 rounds on Spiny and 494 on Tanith, cat's grace lasts 45 rounds on Eben, guidance lasts 5 rounds on Eben

Only if you move into one's square.
End Surprise Round — Round 1.
Another robed wizard runs around the corner. He has a hideous clubfoot, but moves remarkably fast. He raises a scroll and starts reading from it, pointing right at where Farrukh is.
The parchment dissolves into dozens of little threads, which crawl over his shoulders and onto his other hand. A spray of tiny gray beads shoots from his fingertips, and where they land, horribly familiar gooey webs burst out to fill the area.
A two-dimensional web this time—things are simple. Ish.
Everyone but Astraden, make a Reflex save, DC 13. If you fail, you are grappled, though you can attempt to break free by making a CMB/Escape Artist check versus the DC of the spell.
You have total cover from any ranged attacks—and so does the enemy, as long as you remain where you are.
If you make your save and wish to move through the area, you must make a single CMB/Escape Artist check as part of the move. Failure means you get stuck real good. Regardless, this is difficult terrain.
The wizard nearest the web laughs, backing away and casting the magical armor spell on himself. The wizard who already cast the spell gets out a potion and drinks it, then starts coughing. A hand and eye composed of violet mist emerge from his mouth and begin swirling around his head. Represented by the blue box. He then steps back.
The fourth wizard—the older man—casts the armor spell on himself and draws a scroll.
Finally, the allip slowly drifts closer. Its journey seems somewhat confused, and it stops before fully closing the distance—but not before putting Cuetzpalli, Astraden and Zalamandra in earshot.
chokingandgaggingwhosebloodisthisأنا رائحة دم واحدة مقدسةdonotfightasthewormscrawldownyourthroatوسوف تأخذ عقلها وجعلها مثل الألغام
The three of you, make Will saves. DC 15. If you fail, you're hypnotized for 2d4 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3 rounds and must then make another save.
Also, Tanith, I saw that little sacrifice you made back there with the AP. Good show, man. :P
Eben/Farrukh Perceptions: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 221d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Nothing escapes Farrukh's sharp senses. The slayer hears the barest echoes from the door north of the group—the echoes of a man whispering to someone. Or something.
"Rise, my minion. And be quick about it. The clock has just about wound down for us."
Bottom of Round 1: You are up!
Tanith 'Kordson' Creed
Reflex (Heroism): 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 1 + 2 = 14
Despite his unwieldy size, Tanith manages to avoid getting held fast by the conjured webbing. With a grunt of effort, the big man barrels forward, tearing through the webbing and making his way toward the damned spellcasters.
CMB: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 2 = 17
CMB: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 2 = 27
Dungeon Kobold
By the way, guys, make sure to use the old dotted line to mark your routes. I got a bit out of the habit during the Erythnul/Vecna portions, but it's a good way to keep track of things.
Cuetzpalli
Cuetzpalli reflex save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Spiny reflex save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Cuetzpalli will save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14
Spiny will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Cuetpalli gets thoroughly caught in the web, and then a moment later, both he and Spiny slip into a dark reverie of suicidal madness as the Allip's disturbed whispering claws its way into their ears.
Dungeon Kobold
Spiny already made his save, actually, so he's free to go while poor Cuetzpalli takes SAN damage. You don't have to roll more than once.
Eben MacTeague
"Oh, this again..." Eben manages to groan out, just before webs envelop the party.
Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
He manages to avoid getting caught up in the thicker strands of webbing, and instinctively rushes forward before the gauzy filaments settle.
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
And succeeds with aplomb, although at the cost of potentially putting himself beyond his allies reach. On the way, he notices Cuetzpalli get caught in both the web and the allip's babbling; almost like it has been flung by fairies, the silver coin Eben has been dancing across the back of one hand goes flying through the air and bounces off the Olman's forehead. "No time to nap now, Cuetz!" he cries.
Round 1 actions: use an immediate action to end my performance and cast saving finale on Cuetzpalli. (Who can now reroll one of his failed saving throws; I'd suggest the Will save since you can break free of the web.) Double move through difficult terrain to get free of the web.
Heroism lasts 492 rounds on Spiny and 493 on Tanith, cat's grace lasts 44 rounds on Eben, guidance lasts 4 rounds on Eben
Dungeon Kobold
Remember that double-move requires two Escape Artist checks.
Eben MacTeague
Oh, bugger. Editing the previous post.
Whew, didn't make any difference.
Dungeon Kobold
Eben rushes through. When he walks too close to one of the pillars, though—
Six black pillars form two rows along the length of this chamber. They have a tar-like appearance, and what looks like human hands push at their surfaces from within, as if a crowd of humanoid creatures was trapped within each one.
—several of the tar-like hands—left hands, Eben notices—lash out, grasping at his leg and arm.
Grapple: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
He finds himself held fast!
Cuetzpalli
Spiny CMB check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Spiny tries to move through the web, and gets stuck.
Cuetz will save reroll: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Yeah....Cuetzpalli's strong point is most definitely not will saves.
Cuetzpalli
Eben rushes through. When he walks two close to one of the pillars, though—

Ah! This place is turbo-f~%@ed. (@_@)'
Eben MacTeague
Yet another checkmark on the list of reasons to curse Mike Mearls.
Eben yelps in understandable surprise and more than a little horror.
Dungeon Kobold
Astraden, Zalamandra and Farrukh are up. G'night, y'all.
Eben MacTeague
Going to be on the road much of tomorrow, so to save time I'll put down my next round actions ahead of time (belay them if something INSANE happens, but I don't have a lot of options next round, so I can't see doing much else but:
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27forgot my +2 from Cat's grace the last couple EA checks I made
That's to escape the sticky hands, and assuming that beats their CMD, then my move action is escape artisting out of the rest of the web, either 10 feet south of the pillar or the nearest unoccupied square I can get to- my movement through difficult terrain should cover most nearby squares.
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
Farrukh Al'Khatel
Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
CMB to move: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Farrukh curses as the web covers the area, but breaks through it and moves quietly toward the mage he had focused on earlier.
Zalamandra
Round 1: Actions
Standard Action: Snap Cuetzpalli out of it!
Move Action: Try to move three spaces north of Cuetzpalli
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Will Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Zalamandra manages to escape the worst of the webs and block out the allip's babbling. However, she does notice that Cuetzpalli isn't able to shake it off.
She promptly slaps him on the back of the head. "Cuetzpalli! Focus!"
CMB to get through the Web: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
She then carefully makes her way as far ahead of Cuetzpalli as she can through the web.
Dungeon Kobold
Cuetzpalli is jolted out of his reverie by Zalamandra's slap.
Astraden Limhaare
Will save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Astraden shivers, beginning to feel "cool" in a bad way, but then her aura flares and the whispers take on a ridiculous nasal accent. She laughs a little, thrumming the strands of webbing with one finger. She then spins on her heel and runs back toward the second secret door.
Round 1: Movement (move action) and movement (move action). Nondetection lasts 2949 rounds, invisibility lasts 45 rounds, Farrukh's magic weapon lasts 46 rounds, Tanith's magic weapon lasts 47 rounds, hide from undead lasts 48 rounds, and eagle's splendor lasts 49 rounds.
Dungeon Kobold
Round 2: NPCs.
The allip advances on Eben, still struggling to squirm out of the hands' grasp. It lays a hand on his shoulder, giggling, and Eben feels the entropic mind of the allip trying to merge with his own.
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Make a Will save, DC 15. If you fail, you take 1d4 ⇒ 2 Wisdom damage.
The wizard Farrukh's moved up to snarls, backing into the corner. "You just made a big mistake."
He draws out a scroll and starts reading. Meanwhile, the wizard who got out the scroll already starts to read as well. Both point at Farrukh.
The scrolls burst into flames. The flames fly to their outstretched hands and fire out bolts of fire at the slayer. Farrukh ducks one, but the other strikes him right in the chest.
Touch Attacks: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 61d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 1) = 14
The other scroll-wielder, and his two comrades beside him, draw potions. The other two drink them, and the hand-eye spell activates around them.
2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5
Perceptions: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 131d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Farrukh hears something moving behind the northern door.
1d10 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Bottom of Round 2: You are up!
If Eben backs away, he'll provoke an AoO. If he doesn't, the hands will try to grab him again. He can try to tumble, though the DC is increased by +5 due to the webbing. Someone make the decision for me—back off, try to attack, withdraw?
Tanith 'Kordson' Creed
Considering he has no ranks in acrobatics, moving away sounds like the only possible plan. Are the hands attackable?
Tanith bursts from the edge of the webbing and prays for luck against the cowardly Vecnans.
Move. Shield of Faith.
Dungeon Kobold
No. They're made of tar, but they don't seem to be actual objects—more like shapes formed from something within.
Eben's Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Eben backs away, resisting the allip's effect. It grasps for him again.
Touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
The madness is pressing in, but Eben proves remarkably resilient.
Astraden Limhaare
Astraden keeps running, sliding to a halt in front of the secret door.
Round 2: Movement (move action) and movement (move action). Nondetection lasts 2948 rounds, invisibility lasts 44 rounds, Farrukh's magic weapon lasts 45 rounds, Tanith's magic weapon lasts 46 rounds, hide from undead lasts 47 rounds, and eagle's splendor lasts 48 rounds.
Eben MacTeague
As it happens, everything that went down is exactly how I'd have reacted, but I was curious about the hide from undead as well; if it made its save, Astraden can drop the spell from the running countdown.
As for my own countdown: Heroism lasts 491 rounds on Spiny and 492 on Tanith, cat's grace lasts 43 rounds on Eben, guidance lasts 0 rounds on Eben because I just realized this afternoon that it's not a bard spell! Fortunately, it's never seen use, so no harm done.
Dungeon Kobold
Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
In that case, it went for Tanith, who made his saves.
For future reference, try to mark people's figures when they get buffs like that. It's the sort of thing I have a tendency to forget.
Dungeon Kobold
You walked right up to the wizard and have no invisibility to mine or Gark's knowledge. Clarify?
Rynjin
I asked if I was still hidden, and you said yes, then I moved (stealthily). I didn't realize it was impossible to use Stealth within 5 feet of a target, if that's what you're saying. I figured when you said I was still hidden you meant it was dark enough in there I could move and stay hidden.
Dungeon Kobold
Ah, sorry for the confusion. I was letting you stay hidden because you had some distance and none of them made their initial Perception checks, and then the web of course gave you cover.
I'll try to avoid being vague in the futue.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that you actually had some partial cover against the wizards for a short period of time, before they moved.
Farrukh Al'Khatel
Ah well. So much for Sneak Attack. The one in the corner is the one I Targeted though, right?
Farrukh screams in pain as the ray scorches his flesh.
"YOU MADE THE MISTAKE." he yells, then steps in and takes a vicious swing with his sword.

Oh my.
Round 2: Actions
Move Action: Move to try and get line of sight on the allip
Standard Action: Cast magic missile on the allip OR: Escape from whatever webbing I'm caught in
CMB (Move): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
As Zalamandra continues to move north, she runs into a particularly thick patch of webbing.
"Oh--" She's cut off by some of the webbing getting stuck to her mouth...
CMB (Escape): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
...but manages to get out of it after a brief struggle. "Blech. Disgusting."
Active Effects
Shield: 97/100 rounds
Resistance: 8/10 rounds
Dungeon Kobold
Farrukh cuts down his foe with practiced ease.
Cuetzpalli is up.
Cuetzpalli
Cuetzpalli CMD vs Web: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Spiny CMD vs Web: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Spiny and Cuetzpalli rip themselves from the sticky webbing and force their way through it, trying to excape to the other side. Spiny runs past the hand pillar and the allip, because he's a dumb dinosaur. Cuetzpalli is unwilling to risk himself so brazenly, and ends up still mired in the web.
Both double move on the dotted lines. Spiny takes an AOO from Allip and possibly pillar?
Dungeon Kobold
Cuetz CMB: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Spiny CMB: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Double-moving requires two checks. :P
The allip lashes at Spiny as he passes.
Allip AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Spiny must make a Will save, DC 15, or take 1d4 ⇒ 1 Wisdom damage.
As he passes a pillar, the hand-mass tries to grab him, but he's too fast.
Grapple: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
However, as he arrives at another pillar, its hands also reach out—and wrap around the dinosaur's leg.
Grapple: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Round 3.
One of the wizards drinks his potion, and the hand-eye effect emits from his mouth as well. He then moves, drawing a scroll.
One of the others casts the flame spell, again aiming for Farrukh.
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1, 6) = 12
Finally, the last of them moves over beside a pillar and speaks arcane syllables, and a great gout of flame blasts from his hands straight at Tanith and Farrukh.
Tanith and Farrukh Damage (Reflex 14 halves): 2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
Giggling, the allip abandons Eben and turns to the entrapped Spiny.
1d2 ⇒ 1
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Spiny must make a Will save or take 1d4 ⇒ 1 Wisdom damage.
The door swings open, seemingly of its own accord, and behind it stands The Faceless One.
The Faceless One wears green robes and a leather mask set with iron studs. Only his coal-black eyes are visible beneath it. His hands are covered with mystical tattoos. His form is gaunt, almost fragile-looking, and he speaks with a lisp.
"Sso," he says, voice cold, "Thiss iss the crew that sslew my rivalss." He begins casting a spell. "Disthapointing. You show promisse. Perhapss, under different ssircumsthances, you could have been of usse."
From behind him, the party hears something moving. Something big.
Round 3—You are up!
Dungeon Kobold
Zalamandra can make a Spellcraft check, at a -2 penalty, since she can't see the Faceless One.
Also, Farrukh and Tanith can see that the Faceless One has the same magic armor/hand-eye ensemble as the other wizards.
Tanith 'Kordson' Creed
Reflex (heroism): 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 1 + 2 = 19
Tanith grunts in surprise and dodges aside as the flames wash over him. The big man manages to avoid some of the fire but still ends up burned.
With a roar, he strikes back at the nearest of the Vecnans with a vengeance. The Brawler fills his servant for strength as a show of favor.
Spending a Fervor to cast Bull's Strength.
Chop (heroism and bull's): 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d10 + 9 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 6 = 21
Eben MacTeague
Since I don't even want to imagine what an insane dinosaur looks like, I'm focusing on the allip. This will end hide from undead on anyone else who is benefiting from it, but since Zalamandra's about to cast magic missile, I imagine it will be a moot point.
Eben lines up a shot on the giggling spectral form of the allip, whispers a magic charm to enhance his shot, and lays into it.
Not sure if this counts as invisibility as far as any benefits I'd get; if it does, apply them as needed to the first shot.
shortbow+PBS-Rapid Shot: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 9 + 1 - 2 = 25
Nevermind, I imagine that's moot as far as needing any extra buffing.

Heroism lasts 490 rounds on Spiny and 491 on Tanith, cat's grace lasts 42 rounds on Eben
Zalamandra
Round 3: Actions
No Action: Attempt to ID the Faceless One's spell
Move Action: Move closer to allip, out of its reach
Standard Action: Blast it with Magic Missiles! OR IF IT'S DEAD: Blast the Vecnan immediately in front of the Faceless One with magic missiles!
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 9 - 2 = 24
Zalamandra's face pales as she hears the Faceless One's incantation. "Tanith! Farrukh! Get him now! He's summoning something!" She yells as she moves closer to the allip tormenting Spiny.
CMB: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
She manages to get there without getting stuck in the webs. She utters an incantation of her own, blasting the allip/cultist with three bolts of magical force!
Magic Missile Damage: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2, 2) + 3 = 11
Active Effects

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed
With that in mind, can Tanith spend an action point to take another attack?
Dungeon Kobold
Tanith cleaves his target in two as Eben cuts at the allip.
Incorporeal creatures don't get the "miss chance" anymore—they just get half damage from magic weapons.
The allip's HP are actually going to be retconned to account for something I currently don't have access to. It won't be anything big, but just don't be surprised if the amount of damage it's marked as taking decreases a bit.
Eben MacTeague
Incorporeal creatures don't get the "miss chance" anymore—they just get half damage from magic weapons.
I am incredibly embarrassed not to have known that. (Double checks every PFS scenario I've written to date) Okay, no incorporeal monsters in any of those, I can at least console myself with not having designed anything with false expectations.
