"Haha.. you'll never catch me, Gerald... "

He reaches out as Cerana twirls between them and touches the side of her face gently...

"... and the beautiful maiden will be mine, as well. You cannot win."

of course he's playing this for laughs

He does a backflip and lands in fighting stance, still facing Marlon.

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

The party walks into a room. A threat appeared. Everybody got ready for a combat...and then BARD things ensued lol. Waiting on Marlon

Male Human Battle Priest 1

Marlon relaxes his stance and steps back a bit to stand next to the door vigilant but ready.

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

Yix smiles I can work with this. He whisks over to Marlon "A strong man of few words, when Gerald learned that his wife to be was being courted by his enemy he was speechless...he let his actions speak!"

Is our hostess armed?

One of her hands sports an steel gauntles with nasty looking spikes that she actually uses to eat her food. And next to her seat lies a big flail.
And so far she doesn't look overly entertained, but is still occupied with her meal.

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

Ahh crap, gauntlets are rather tricky to steal

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

P.S. This is my big elaborate fascinate attempt. I don't play bards like "I fascinate them, there's the will save DC"

Yix begins strolling around the room while telling the story of Gerald's uprising. He begins to curve the story towards violence and blood to better get the orcs attention, then makes sure he walks to the far part of the room so her attention is off the party

male Alchemist 2 / Monk 1 || HP 12/30 || AC 15, T 11, FF 14, CMD 17 || F +6, R +6, W +2 || Per. +4, Init +1 Treasure

Gorag lays himself against one wall and watches the spectacle.

She lazily watches you walking around, still more focused on her food than on any of you.

Island Elf

Sunny shifts slowly 'sideways'....

...The better to 'flank' and such should things become violent...

As long as you don't either attack, annoy her, try to leave or wait until she finished eating (which could take some time), not much is going to happen from her side.

Island Elf

happy to watch the show bein' put on by Yix an' every one else. Takin' me own slow, sweet time ta' maybe 'spread out' around tha' room so's she dun't get too many swings in when tha' ruckus starts.

Though I do have a question fer tha' hulkin' lass? Maybe after tha' performance be finished...

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

haha here I've been trying to charm a snake and the whole time it was a rock

Female Elf Wizard 3, HP: 18/18, AC 17/14f/13t, Fort: +2 Ref: +6 Will +3, Init: +5, Perception: +9 (darkvision)

So erm what are we doing then, continuing this play? Or we going to try some attack of some kind?

Island Elf

Am happy fer Yix to go through the whole shebang. Though if peoples want ta' cut to tha' chase, that be okeys with me. (^_^)

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

Well the general idea was to make a big show proving we were legit, then go on a long rant to get her attention while motioning you guys to take her weapons/subdue her. We could still do that, but it's kind of hard to steal a gauntlet off somebody

Island Elf

Well, I think we's slowly gettin' int'a positions where we can do just that. :)

"So..." Sunny asks the large woman, "Them big kind'a fellers out side? They be friends of yours, like?" She asks innocently.

Female Elf Wizard 3, HP: 18/18, AC 17/14f/13t, Fort: +2 Ref: +6 Will +3, Init: +5, Perception: +9 (darkvision)

Well we could slice of her hand? I'm guessing that counts as disarming her of her gauntlet?

"Hmpf? My baby brothers?"

That might prove complicated while she is alive^^.

Island Elf

Sunny blinks and grins,

Rilly?" She laughs, "Aye! Now that ye mention it. I ken see a certain family resemblance." She smiles warmly at the Ogress.

"M'name be 'Sunny'...in tha' speakin' of tha' folks. Whut be yours?" She asks politely with a bob of the head and small 'curtsey' .

Also, assuming we've got a break/end in the play? (^_~)

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

Well the point of it was to get us into the room and positioned without seeming like a threat and take her weapons, at least I got the first half of it done

Yix looks at the party members for a brief period of time, raising his eyebrows slightly to tell them it's time to act. After he gives the message he approaches her so the party is to her back

I have no idea.... Hijiro is up for a little fake sparring to keep her distracted, but I don't know what Marlon is doing...

Gorag comes nearer, now that a conversation between Sunny and the Ogrekin starts.

"Non of you, mampf, business. Food should taste good and work on its fat to meat ration, not ask questions."

Island Elf

Sunny tilts her head, still looking inquisitively at the large woman.

"But....surely there be loads of other stuff ta' snuffle? Like fishies?" Sunny asks, actually scratching her mop of blond hair and absently taking a step closer.

Female Elf Wizard 3, HP: 18/18, AC 17/14f/13t, Fort: +2 Ref: +6 Will +3, Init: +5, Perception: +9 (darkvision)

Cerana twirls away continuing the play taking Hijiro hands and interlacing her fingers between his. Her back towards Yix. She begins to whisper a couple of words in other languages until she spots either of her companions ears perk up.

I think Yix understands sylvan and I have no common other language with Hijiro so I'll do the below.

Cerana changes her tone of her voice pretending to say something romantic in sylvan to Hijiro, just loud enough for Yix to hear. She's actually saying "I can create a large pit beneath her feet, if she falls in with you guys around her you've got the jump on her."

After that she leans into Hijiro saying "Oh my love, Eduardo" She pretends to give him a kiss on the cheek and instead whispers in common the last thing she said in Sylvan.

Male Human Battle Priest 1

Marlon still stands at the door close to his companions with a questioning look on his face as he studies the Ogres that apparently does not feel the least bit threatened by their presence.

Being a good guy Marlon has some reservations to attack the ogres without reason

Island Elf

Am tryin' ta' kind'a maybe allow that ta' happen. ;)

"Come, Gerald, have you no desire to catch me? Surely to fight for the honor of your lady?" Hijiro backs away from Marlon, and with his back to the Ogress, motions for Marlon to follow him into the room. He tries to angle himself closer to the Ogress as he does so.

Male Human Battle Priest 1

Marlon follows reluctantly to get himself into striking position which is not quite as difficult as he has good reach with his spear.

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

Yix smiles and begins to recite in Sylvan "A wonderful idea, whenever you're ready"

She starts to speak while having a giant piece of meat in her mouth. "Whatsh ya squabbling over there?"

Female Elf Wizard 3, HP: 18/18, AC 17/14f/13t, Fort: +2 Ref: +6 Will +3, Init: +5, Perception: +9 (darkvision)

If everyone is in position Cerana takes Hijiro's hand and starts to dance with him. While doing so weaving a spell between her fingers and unleashes her spell trying to take the Ogrekin into the floor.

Let's see if this works, DC 18 reflex save. DC25 climbing to get out, I suspect she can get out in one turn but gives us a chance to all ready attacks to smack her. We don't have to kill her, we can just knock her out but I'll leave that to the martial attackers to decide.

ref save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

The woman almost chokes on her last bite when a pit suddenly appears below her bench. Yet the bench is to long to fit into the hole and she thus has time to throw launch herself from it with surprising speed and even grabbing her flail from the bench, a formidable feat considering her hip measurement.
But her meal isn't that lucky as her sudden movement knocks the still half filled plate into the pit. "Whoat the hall." She audibly gulps down the last pieces in her mouth. "MY FOOD. You pay for that!.
She did just safe, the bench part is just fluff, so no, I didn't let you cast a useless spell :). As you might have guessed, you are in combat now. Since its only one enemy and you had time to spread out either way I would say everyone can reach her just fine, no need for the map. Round 1

Sunny swings dramatically, but for no effect.

Male Human Battle Priest 1

With all the time we had for positioning is it unrealistic to assume we are all flanking?

Well, usually it would be impossible for all of you to flank since she stands with her back to the pit. But since we play without map right now and that makes it hard to say who does or doesn't flank: yeah if you want you can get in flanking position. Even all of you at the same time.

Male Human Battle Priest 1

Technically flanking a large creature is a lot easier than flanking a medium sized creature. Also with Marlon and his reach weapon flanking is made a bit easier as well...

Marlon has taken his time to get into position. When the assault on the ogres begins he has his spear up in an instant and aims the tip right for her throat.

Attack with Power attack assuming flanking:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 damage 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

@Teller: Oh don't worry I know my amazing luck with spells! :P

Cerana seems visibly disappointed.

This is what I get for spending 50 years in a library with no experience. Oh whatever!

Cerana just pulls out her staff and goes into full defense as she feels that she won't be able to hit anything in the large melee that is about to ensue.

I know Marlon took his action and he technically goes after the ogress, but since she goes before me, I'm holding my action to see what she does first, and how/if she moves

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

Yix crouches and palms a dagger "Now now, you're far outnumbered and surrounded, no reason for this to get ugly"

Hmm, Zeema seems to be MIA again. Let's skip her for now, when she returns she can just enter there.
She is still medium btw, just REALY fat. Edit:She is the ogrekin, not zeema...

"I HOPE YOU TASTE GOOD OR I YOU GONNA BE MORE SORRY!
The fat lady swells red from anger over her lost meal and lets her flail crash down on Sunnys head while using her other hand to drive the air out of Gorags lungs.

Au, that seems to hurt. 25 Damage to Sunny, 7 to Gorag. Continue with the remaining actions and then with the second round. Marlons Damage is not yet factored in the stats.

Island Elf

*Crunch*

"Erk!"

*SPLAT*

Sunny is now at 4 HP....

The Ogress' assault leaves the brown skinned Elf pretty much flat on the floor.

"I done bin smooshed...." Says a faint voice from ground level.

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

Yix's ears flatten against his head She's dangerous He runs up to cover Sunny and takes a small vial out of his pocket. He flings it at her feet and shouts "Lietra!" and the vial explodes outward to cover the floor beneath the ogrekin with grease. After that Yix stands above Sunny to protect her

What's the DC on the grease?.

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

Ah sorry I was a little rushed. This is normally how I post when I spellcast

Casting Grease at her feet. DC 15 reflex save

Hijiro uses his flank to best advantage and attempts to skewer the ogress.

to hit: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 2 = 12

dmg if hits: 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

The ogres doesn't even seem to notice the slippery floor, she's probably used to walking in grease when cooking live food that just doesn't want to stay sill when thrown into the boiling fat and making a mess of the whole kitchen.

Island Elf

*Sunny kind of resents being referred to as 'The greasy floor'....*
