In the grand tradition of unfriendly magi, my perform (sing) is +0 so I'm not being the honorary bard ;p

I checked out everyone's gear and proficiencies, figured the blade was spare so grabbed it to RP away, but OOC hope that's ok!

Out of interest, anyone tracking loot?

Also can you let me know a typical marching order please. May as well get this stuff out of the way and settled early

Female Human (Kellid) Druid 8 | HP 67 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | Saves +9/+6/+12 | Init + 4 | Percep +16, Scent

<---- This one's a Druid, and has no arguements with you keeping a longsword ;)

<---- This one struggles to keep up with thier own loot, how can I possibly track party lootZ?

Too late to edit my post with the spoiler but I meant to say sleeping without tents or bedrolls was deadly. Posting while walking the dog, stupid mobile phone autocorrect

In any case, yeah I know what you mean about loot Nasrin, I lose track of stuff on pbp quite easily. It's a dirty job but someone got to do it :/

Female Human (Kellid) Druid 8 | HP 67 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | Saves +9/+6/+12 | Init + 4 | Percep +16, Scent

lol Only INT 10, so not me :p

and I was wondering where we were gunna get bedrooms out here!

I can't help it if you're unprepared for the wilderness and don't bring spare bedrooms.

Female Human (Kellid) Druid 8 | HP 67 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | Saves +9/+6/+12 | Init + 4 | Percep +16, Scent

Something from Narnia, we are from the kingdom of Spare Oom!

Male Half elf Invulnerable rager 11 | Hp 137 (192) | AC 23 (T15, F20) | F11 (16), R8, W6 (11) NOTE: +3 vs spell, spell-like or supernatural | Attack 16/11/6 (26/21/16), range 13/8/3 | DR 5/- | RAGE 26 rounds CMB 11 (12). I can build a shelter in the woods and I'm not a barbarian or druid in real life. More's the pity. I am assuming that my character and Nasrin could build a shelter fairly easily.

Whilst I agree with you in principle Corum, I think putting up a shelter in the woods is a wholly different affair when you lack tools or twine and you are operating in subzero temperatures.. I'm not saying you can't do it, just that it will definitely involve a check rather than handwaving that it's done.

The larger issue as I see it is that Elleros and Sapphire have no bedroll or blanket (in fact none of you have a blanket that I can see in your equipment lists).

The current temperature in the Border Wood is 30 degrees Farenheit (-1 celsius) during the day and 10 Farenheit (-12 celsius) at night. I just want to put into context how real the possibility is of freezing to death at night.

Also, your idea of making snowshoes is a good one. But this is where Paizo's crafting rules massively fall down. In summary they are as follows:

1. Find the item's price in silver pieces (1 gp = 10 sp). 50sp in this case

2. Find the item's DC from Table: Craft Skills. DC 15

3. Pay 1/3 of the item's price for the raw material cost. Ok, I can handwave that

4. Make an appropriate Craft check representing one week's worth of work. A WEEK!!! If the check succeeds, multiply your check result by the DC. If the result × the DC equals the price of the item in sp, then you have completed the item. (If the result × the DC equals double or triple the price of the item in silver pieces, then you've completed the task in one-half or one-third of the time. Other multiples of the DC reduce the time in the same manner.) If the result × the DC doesn't equal the price, then it represents the progress you've made this week. Record the result and make a new Craft check for the next week. Each week, you make more progress until your total reaches the price of the item in silver pieces. So if you take 10 on this check it would be 10 (result) x 15 (DC) = 150. So you can create a fully functioning set of snowshoes in three days. Congratulations!

So... and I think this is a larger point for Greyston than anyone else because of his ability to craft alchemical items, we will be using the alternative craft rules presented in Spes Magna Games' "Making Crafting Work." Greyston it's easier if I talk to you about this out of game.

The relevance to the snowshoe scenario is that under this system they are categorised as a Simple Item with a DC of 12 to Craft and a timeframe of 1 day (8 hours). Up to two people can assist using the Aid Another action. If you beat the DC by 5 or more you halve the crafting time. If you beat it by 10 you halve it again. So if you want to make a pair of snowshoes in 2 hours you will need to make a check of 22. We will discuss failing the check if it happens.

Make sense?

Female Human (Kellid) Druid 8 | HP 67 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | Saves +9/+6/+12 | Init + 4 | Percep +16, Scent

The only hand-waving I would appreciate would be taking 10 on survival checks :)

Yeah happy to do that in most circumstances

I always add bedroll and blanket to my builds. Standard equipment as far as I'm concerned. Same goes for rope and twine.

I just haven't put my eq on my character profile as it changes so much its a pain to keep up to date. Got a full eq list on an excel spreadsheet.

j, I have purchased a bedroll , I bought the wizards kit but hero lab doesn't list the individual items only when you look at it in the gear section.
You are quite correct in the fact that I have no blanket , an oversight on my part I thought it was in the kit , but is it feasable to sleep in the winter outfits?

[Party Loot] Female Half-Elf Magus (Bladebound Hexcrafter) 10, hp 83, AC 22|T 11|FF 20, F +10|R +4|W +7, Init +1, Perception +2 Low-light vision

JZ, the Magi kit includes a sleeping bag/bedroll so depending on how nice you are Sapphire may already have scrounged one from the wreckage as it was part of her starting equipment.

Also, I'm kinda scared to ask... where might her spellbook be!?

If no-one else wants to volunteer then I'll try my hand at loot management, I'm sure I can summon up a reasonable spreadsheet :)

Yeah I'm factoring that in. I'm not going to be a stickler about this stuff, I'm far happier to let things flow, but the environment plays a big part in this campaign.

Female Human (Kellid) Druid 8 | HP 67 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | Saves +9/+6/+12 | Init + 4 | Percep +16, Scent

Flow is good. Now y'all need to get over to the gameplay and flow flow flow!

Done!

OK party loot now available via a link in my stat bar, comments and suggestions welcome as it's the first time I've managed loot!

I don't think I mentioned this but in my games Identify is a 0 level spell. I just can't really be bothered with checking the spellcraft DCs of every item to identify it :/

Female Human (Kellid) Druid 8 | HP 67 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | Saves +9/+6/+12 | Init + 4 | Percep +16, Scent

Still only availble, to Arcanes, right? I don't think many clerics get Identify :)

I'm happy for divines to get the benefit too. Unless theres some weird Identify shenanigans I'm not aware of in which case I'll change it

Female Human (Kellid) Druid 8 | HP 67 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | Saves +9/+6/+12 | Init + 4 | Percep +16, Scent

lol Next person to say shenanigans is getting pistol whipped!

Oh, did I mention my penchant for remembering petty details and my ADH-hey, a squirrel!

-How many kids with ADHD does it take to change a light bulb?

-Let's go play on out bikes!!

Ahem. Anyway... like I said before, I tend to let things slide so no problem with Identify and that kind of thing

Female Human (Kellid) Druid 8 | HP 67 | AC 16 FF 15 T 11 | Saves +9/+6/+12 | Init + 4 | Percep +16, Scent

In my experience it is just too much work as a DM to keep 'secret' track of the magic on this or that item... so, yeah, I strongly agree with this bit of handwaving :)

In regards to searching/traveling, how about we key it to my wording, sic, "Nasrin keeps her eyes open looking for..." or, "Nasrin keeps an eye out in the area around the obviously trapped chest..."

Also, I saw a t-shirt that had AD/HD written in the AC/DC logo, followed by "Highway to-Hey look! a squirrel!"

Just a point about taking point I've got good perception and move at 40 unhindered in snow. J. Could I scout at half my speed just ahead of the group wirhout impeding the overall movemwnt rate?

If you kept coming back and forth yes. But you need t be wary that it may leave you isolated if you get caught even thirty feet away from the group by something.

How visible is the trail from 15, or 30 feet off of the trail? Again, the intent is to shadow the trail and hopefully disrupt ambushes and avoid any trail-based traps.

How does everyone else feel about doing this?

What level can I expect to afford a Ring of Freedom of Movement? lol, j/k, I am not an *entitled* player, but long term FOM would be like awesome wrapped in bacon out here :D

Visibility is currently at 30 feet.

Ok. My attacks:

Melee is +4. +6 rage.

Haven't taken power attack. I took raging vitslity to make sure i didn't die as a rwault of dropping to -ve hp then losing any temp hp from raging. I was going for power attack at one point so it may still show on my profile if I forgot to remove it.

Power attack is my first choice feat as soon as I can get it.

Actually In my desperation I've been thinking of giving that a go. Probably have more success trying to tip a tree than trying to hit a sprite with a sling. Right now I don't think I could hit one with a piano!

Its all on Elleross and his acid splash now!

Yes, just start smashing trees down this could be bad.

Hey guys, just wanted to say I know this is all a bit of a grind at the moment with just encounter after encounter. Please be patient, there's a lot more to this book (and AP) than a one dimensional snowy dungeon

Thanks.

Sapphire, Imfernal healing is an evil spell. I'm just pointing it out because it does have some fairly significant effects such as giving the target an evil aura. There's also the risk that continuous use will change alignment over time.
