About Elleross Oronarappearance :
tall like most of his race he stands over six feet and his once pale brown hair has drained of all colour since his incarceration in Stone hold prison.
His long hair is usually worn loose and has faded to a pale grey streaked with White and his once vibrant purple eyes are now a pale icy blue. Dressing for utility Elleross favours comfortable hard wearing clothing. Having had no need of vanity or fashion for over a century he cares little for his appearance. The beard he has always worn he keeps close cropped, like his hair it too is grey and only grows longer upon his chin where it narrows to a point. background:
born and raised in the city of oppara Elleross followed in the footsteps of his father and trained to become a lawyer and a criminal prosecuter.
Graduating from university with honours he swiftly gained a reputation as a keen prosecuter, meticulously presenting the evidence before him with devastating effect. Living in the city offered no end of cases and he loved the hustle and bustle of daily life. That changed somewhat when he married his university sweetheart Araenai. From a town called Blackbriar near the mountains to the east of the jalrune river after they wed she begged Elleross for years to move home with her and when an opportunity arose for him to become the regions judge he agreed and left the city behind. The move to the small town was not such a wrench, he enjoyed dispensing the sentences upon the local criminals even if the crimes were of a more mundane or petty nature. The biggest case Elleross chaired would also be the one that changed his life forever. Several local human children had gone missing over the course of a week and the sheriff along with several locals formed a posse to track and capture or kill those responsible. They discovered a cavern and a lone young human woman. The remains of the children littered the cave and strange symbols had been daubed in blood all around the cavern. Overpowering the woman they dragged her back to town and she was put on trial for practising dark witchcraft and murdering the children. Elleross sentenced her to death and she was beheaded and her body burned. He thought that had ended the case but he was wrong, very wrong. The rest of the coven returned and discovered the fate of their sister witch and their revenge was swift and brutal. Elleross' memory of the night they invaded his home is scetchy at best, he can remember the face of the witch that appeared in his home, her night black hair and red piercing eyes etched in his memory forever. The rest of that night is splintered into fragments but he remembers the blade in his hand, his wife's screams that faded to choking blood filled groans as he stabbed her again and again with the carving knife. When his neighbours burst in he was cradling his dead wife, the blade still in his hands but he was unable to speak or act, the horror of what he had done had shocked his keen mind into a state of paralysis. He was arrested and brought to trial swiftly, as a judge he was taken back to the city for his trial and there was no defence he could offer, in his state of mind he could barely function and his wild his talk of the witch was swiftly crushed by the prosecution and they cited rumors that his wife was cheating on him and he had punished her for it. The rumor came from small town gossip and was completely untrue. His sentence was lenient at the request of his father a legal professional of good standing in the city and he was sentenced to a hundred and twenty years in Stone hold prison instead of being put to death. In the long years that followed Elleross vowed to discover the means the witch used to make him kill his wife and as a way to stave off depression and his grief he began to read anything and everything he could on the nature of magic. He learned much from the many inmates in the prison , when he wasn't being beaten by those he himself sent here or had a hand in convicting.indeed most of those in the prison guards and inmates alike called him "Judge" rather than his given name. His parents disowned him after his conviction but his constant letters to his father did at least gain him access to the books he craved. "I have secured you access to the library and arranged for several shipments from the university to come to you. Do not write to me or contact me again, you are no longer my son" his fathers only letter to him ended this way after ten years of petitioning him for help. After serving just over a hundred years of his sentence he was released early due to good behaviour and for his work educating several of his fellow inmates. So as he trudged North west leaving the prison behind he found himself a free man again. The years had not dulled his memories of that day and though his knowledge of the arcane had grown vast it was no where near enough, it was not enough to learn the incantations and the spells of magic he wanted to understand the mechanics, he needed to know how the magic worked and not just the arcane but the supposedly divine magic as well and so he would learn more and one day he would find those responsible for his wife's murder and he would make them pay. The prison was housed in the caverns of a mountain range south east of Zimar and so Elleross set out for the city he once called home, Oppara. There he may still have friends he hoped would help him. Travelling for many miles and many weeks he found himself on the outskirts of a small village, tired and hungry he made his way into the small village of Hedren Statblock:
