What would happen to your lay on hands ability? Clerics of evil deities get inflict rather cure and channel negative rather than positive, so would your lay on hands ability harm rather than heal?
Well Clerics have to be within one step of their god, where as paladin's have to be Lawful Good, so even worshiping a CG god, their abilities stay the same. Its more or less a back ground RP idea and has no effect on abilities or such.
And paladins have to be lawful good, but you're picking asmodeus. Is it asmodeus that's the demon lord of contracts? I might be thinking of another Asmo. No... No I'm right.
So you wanted to play a paladin under a LE god, but playing an antipaladin of Iome-whos-its would be practically the same thing, only much more reversed.
Regardless, not my call. I personally think you'd be fine as a lawful good, even with my character's habits.
no, not playing an anti-paladin at all, your confused.
I want to be a paladin of Asmodeus, if I can't, I will be a paladin of Iomedea
Not really confused. I was just saying that if you wanted to play a paladin of an LE deity, it would be the same to play an Anti paladin of a LG deity with similar results.
If anything, I was being silly.
I just don't understand why a paladin would follow Asmodeus. It's interesting.
we will need to determine some kind of standard combat formation.
so perhaps we could get all the players to post where they plan/ want to be in a fight.
For me with buffs and short ranged spells I will be 5-10 ft behind the front line helping with my longspear when possible, buffing and dealing with clumps of guys with cone/ area spells.
Sorry, I saw everyone pulling out weapons and got a little mixed up. Remus mention pulling out a bastard sword. I didn't think that was something he'd have yet. Looking back though I notice the sickle and longspear are both simple weapons. Of course I do chuckle at the mental image of a 15 year waving around an 8' longspear. :p No offense.
Ah, missed that bit. Sorry.
Been a long weekend. Worked Thur evening and Fri evening, spent all day Sat over a friend's, worked yesterday evening and now this morning. Get to work again tomorrow morning. :p
Looking forward to seeing what happens next, along with the time jump, but I'm in no rush, so am happy for the time jump to take as long as it needs to.
Still, I'll tell you how I act in combat when the time comes. :)
Right now, it's just down to roleplay. Still, I'm hoping for some awesome combat soon!
Stop chomping on those eggs, Elmer/GM!
LELOUCH COMMANDS YOU!
DC: 15 Will Save please:
Failed? Then "Return to us and allow for our adventure to continue!"Command - Approach
The GM failed his will save and came back to us. :p
Anyway, just to let you know I really love this campaign so far, and we haven't even had any combat.
I'm hoping character relationships will be able to develop with a lot of depth, and that we'll actually complete this PBP before it either dies off, or everyone disbands it. :)
Just letting you all know, tomorrow, I'll be getting on a plane to the US. So there will be a huge gap of time where I will most likely not be online. I might check in from Beijing, but I can't guarantee it. Also, I'll be in the states for about a week, and I'm sure I'll have internet at various points, but I'll also be moving stuff and visiting friends, so I might not be available quite as much as I have been. Aside from my day in the Beijing Airport I should manage once a day just the same though!
All I need is breastplate and a darkwood light crossbow. I think the 450gp was enough for that. Is that easy to get a hold of in game, because I don't have it on me pre-time skip
As far as I know we get proper wbl for level 3, so consider getting that breastplate and crossbow masterworked and maybe pick up some minor wondrous items. Or just start saving for something shinny.
think it was 3000g, health if I remember correctly was average die roll rounded up, so for d6 4 health plus all applicable bonuses (Favoured class, con, ect)
I guess I should ask the GM about pets and such.
I was going to get a horse (of course :p ). But I also wanted to get a another creature companion, a pseudodragon.
You are aloud to have as many pets as you want, but you have to handle animal them I would prefer not to have intelligent pets (pseudo dragon) but if there is good reason PM me.
So you can have 3 dogs 5 horses and a parrot but you have to role separately for each one and it is pretty likely to fail at least one.
only problem could come if we are really far away and someone decides to use it. Could force remainder of party to leave an have a long trip back ahead.
Also if I teleport with the medallion and someone else has one on within 20ft but they are unconcious or dead do they come with me?
I still have 1700 (saving for +1 weapon), also I don't think you speak enough languages:) but at least we can communicate in Draconic without most enemies understanding us.
