Heals
Quenly has 28 charges remaining on his clw wand.
He can also use his spell slots on cure spells, but that'll exhaust his casting pretty quickly. He'll use spell slots for cures in emergencies only.
Marching order
Quenly is happy pretty much anywhere in a marching order, but is perhaps not best at the front (unless heavily buffed). He'll use Perception on doors and the like, as well as Detect Magic. Quenly's Dragon will follow its usual 'early warning system' operating procedure - blindsense and telepathy. (Quenly's perception mod for finding hidden things using vision is currently +22: deduct 2 if non-visual, deduct 2 if it's not a check for hidden things, deduct 4 if its an opposed check, auto-fail hearing checks).
Next sage
Any more clues as to what we might be delving into? In the absence of any further info, Quenly's suggestion is GMT. Rogues and dungeons just go together.
One more thing: Hunter's Blessing
Rufeo, do you want to cast your Hunter's Blessing now? Or save the slot for a spontaneous summons? Quenly also knows Hunter's Blessing, but I do kind of want to save the slots for potential Breath of Life, replacing the Draconic Ally if it's killed, and quickened 1st level spells especially Unbreakable Heart and Divine Favour. I can use boons to recover up to 2 spell slots, but each one costs a standard action to use (and is a one-shot boon). If you do cast it, I'd suggest selecting Underground terrain and either undead or evil outsiders as the 'favoured' enemy.

[Yes GM, I will pay the 7 prestige to get the wand air express delivered.
I will cast the hunters blessing when we enter...
I think we are still good on life bubble, but I could cast another one before we enter..

With Trapspotter, I should be up near the front (first or second). I'm swapping eyeware for the Perception, bringing it to 30+1d6 (+2 for traps, +2 for magic traps). I can always I can use my Wayfinder to cast Detect Magic.
As for which sage, I like the idea of having a monk next to me in these close corridors. Heh heh heh...or Torch, he is bound to have a ton of answers for problems.
Dunia Mbani
|
Torch seems fine, (though Dunia will be grumpy).
Dunia would love to be on the second line, though if we're single file, I'll defer to the fighters and Fendel
| GM Hmm |
Quenly, your perception is +22? That is not what is in your header. (I based my scripted perception roll block on what you guys had in your headers.) Does anyone else have a significantly more buffed perception now?)
It sounds like at least three of you would not mind Torch, so Torch it is!
Hmm
Quenly
|
Perception maths incoming!
Ranks 11, wis -1, race +2, competence (oracle curse) +3, circumstance: masterwork tool (vision) +2, insight (boon) +1, untyped (boon, only applies to finding hidden things, traps etc) +2, morale (heroism) +2; get -4 on opposed perception checks because of deaf curse, and auto-fail hearing checks.
Only a few minutes has passed since the battle, right?
Eadie Navhelan

Heals Eadie now has 41 CLW charges left in total, spread over two wands.
I am happy for her to share, but am also aware Eadie + Ariana will probably take the brunt of the damage taken.
Marching Order I’d suggest in single file:
Fendel, Torch, Eadie, Ariana, Dunia, Quenly, Rufeo+Ki’lala
Two-abreast:
The above order but in pairs.
Please feel free to disagree or adjust, guys.
Door Opening Procedure Eadie will auto-aid the highest person’s Perception check for door traps (+2 to Fendel’s [?] check).
She will also follow Fendel’s directions at doors, ie if he wants her close or backed around a corner when the door is opened.
Any other things?
Unless otherwise noted, Eadie will travel with her cold iron falchion drawn.
As her buffs expire, or if the party approaches obvious danger she will pause to remove her backpack and consider buffing options.
@Ariana, do you need more healing? Has your wand still got charges left?
Ariana-Fighter
|
Heals
I have about 20 charges left on my CLW wand, and several potions I can drink if necessary.
Marching Order
That order is fine with me.
@Eadie
I'm good on the healing, and my wand has charges left.
Dunia Mbani
|
Since Torch seems to mainly provide bonuses to us, rather than roll himself, I'd as soon move him farther back to get me into the 2nd rank when we're two-abreast.
Something like:
Fendel, Eadie, Ariana, Dunia, Torch, Quenly, Rufeo+Ki’lala
or
Fendel & Eadie
Ariana & Dunia
Torch & Quenly
Rufeo & the big kitty

I will buff with a charge off my Wand of Longstrider. Happy to share, just let me know who would like charge. I auto-succeed to activate the wand.

Dunia's proposed marching order makes sense to me.
Quenly will gladly accept a longstrider buff, thanks :)

Do you have an feats, traits, or class features that impose a code of conduct upon you? No, unless "be an elf" counts (Warrior of Old, race trait).
What are your feelings about tea? Do you have a favorite variety? Quenly approves of tea. HIs favourite is Elven tea, brewed in the manner prescribed by the ancient gods of his people of course. I have a cuppa going right now. I am partial to a smoky lapsang souchong, but the undisputed king of teas is certainly oolong. Did I mention I am an Englishman, by the way? ;-)
How about musicals? Any favorite show tunes that you listen to again and again? Sadly, it is difficult for Quenly to enjoy show tunes, since he hears only the voices of the true gods. However, he has an Elven instinct for music and enjoys a show regardless. Can't say I am massively into musical theatre. However, I did go and see the film version of Les Miserables, and I have the soundtrack album. I do like Les Mis, especially the stirring revolutionary stuff! Also, may I recommend The Rocky Horror Show? Righto - off to do the Time Warp - (again).

Do you ever wonder how many groups push Torch in, thinking: “Eh, he’s a rogue. He has evasion — right?”
Quenly
|
Poor old Torchie. Judging by some of the forum posts of late, I might be in the minority in having sympathy for him. I like the anti-establishment, anti-authoritarianism he seems to embody.
BUT - I came to PFS after all the shadow lodge plot had played out, and I still haven't experienced the scenarios that make Torch a 'bad guy'.
Eadie Navhelan
|
Yeah, I genuinely like the character of Torch. (Eadie thinks he’s great – but isn’t aware of all his machinations)
I think it’s because all the GMs that have run him for me have portrayed him as a likeable rogue.
Also, I haven’t played, run or read the Season 4 Shadow Lodge retirement scenario, which supposedly puts him in a poor light.

Her player is similar, though I gave up coffee about 6 months ago. It was much easier than I thought it would be.

How about musicals? Well, as a theater major, I was not a fan of musicals. Give me Billy Shakespeare anytime. However -->Any favorite show tunes that you listen to again and again? Defy Gravity at the end of ACT ONE of WICKED is quite simply the best. I would have been content if the show ended right there. Some nice numbers in Les Mis (End of the Day, Master of the House). I will be travelling tomorrow (Friday) and away for Easter weekend. I expect to have wifi, but my posting rate may be lower until I return home on Monday night.
Botting instructions are in Quenly's profile.
Whilst we are searching through the memory doors, it might be an idea for anyone suffering with a negative level already to finish up the remaining doors (except my dragon, he only has 2HD). Although they're more likely to fail a save, that will minimise the number of Restorations we need. Assuming they are not already permanent negative levels, Restoration clears multiple negative levels from one target with one casting. Don't forget we have a Wand of Restoration.

So... This weekend I’ll be at Quilt Camp, in the wilderness, and with only my phone to provide unreliable internet. So if we can, let’s finish up the memory room early tomorrow morning, and then y’all can decide which way you want to go from the hub.
North - Doorway to Oblivion
East - South Archive, Waste Disposal, North Archive, Slave Pits, Incubation Chambers
South - Central Chambers
West - North to Cleansing Room and Memory Extraction, South to Plague Laboratory
You’ve already gone West. Where to next?

BTW... I really must apologize to Ariana here. She got walloped!
With regards to Eadie’s questions of whether I allow RP bonuses to saves — interesting idea. I almost always gift RP bonuses to skills, and never have done so for saves. That’s firmly in a rules grey area.
How about this? I’m open to considering the possibility later on, especially when you get to interact in a truly active manner rather than just dealing with a recording.

So lets see if I can summarise what we've learned down memory lane...
1. Black Moon drowned people in her experiments.
2. Black Moon could appear as a frail, harmless old Garundi woman, and took in foundlings if they appeared strong enough to experiment on.
3. An Osirian Paladin, Ermias Dallia, fought against Black Moon at Resa. It seems likely he failed in his quest.
4. Black Moon values living prisoners (I assume so she can run experiments on them).
5. Black Moon killed a group of courtiers that tried to sue for peace, by conjuring poisonous mists (looks like a Cloudkill spell).
6. Black Moon animated the corpses of the victims of her plagues.
7. Plague sample #14 is likely the Night Plague; or it could be the weapon Black Moon made after the Night Plague. That substance is still here, in the lab.
8. Marouf the Shaitan died on Black Moon's table. Kabede, the Div, refused to obey Black Moon's command and was punished by being placed in the memory extractor. He is probably dead - or could be undead.
9. In a room full of sarcophagi, in the eastern wall, there is a secret door that leads to a vast library.
And the tally of negative levels:
Quenly's Dragon: 1
Dunia: 1
Ariana: 2 + DC24 Fort save or another
So we really only need two restorations. The dragon is quite easily replaceable. I propose we use the wand first. Quenly can activate it.
As for our next direction I vote East. Lots to do there. I suggest leaving "door to oblivion" till last. Oblivion doesn't sound inviting ;p

Dunia Mbani
