Hey guys, sorry for being absent for so long. Been struggling with my health, which is on the road to being a lot better. Though, in one of my gaming groups, we had an unexpected death last week, and its hit a lot of people very hard, myself included. A good friend of ours had sudden critical kidney failure and died within about 3-4 hours of being taken to the hospital.

That all said, I am trying to be and do better now. I am feeling a bit better truth be told, but its a constant struggle right now.

If you guys are going to be replacing CC, then I think I am going to go ahead and bow out of the game. Personally, where I am, I do not like some of the character interactions, and right now I am having an internal struggle with some of the actions being taken, and I do not feel that I can play William with the sort of integrity that I want. I feel that I am either going to have to compromise his beliefs and thoughts, or else I feel that I would have to actively work against the party on some things. I was highly debating simply walking away from the manor and letting you guys do the investigation, and after Jimmy's unprovoked attack on one of the halflings, that was the last straw so to speak.

I am not pointing fingers here, I just feel that I am in a situation where I do not feel William can maintain his association with the group and still be the person I created him to be. And with a job and a business to run, He is more than willing to just fade back into his work life and put things behind himself at this point.

You guys tell me what your thoughts are, but that it where I am, at least right now, and what I am thinking and feeling about the game.

Male Human Bard 2

Im glad you are doing better @William, Im sorry about the other losses.

I do have to agree that under the GMs direction and prompting this game had taken a turn for the worse. Corey is more out of his element now that the mayors manor has turned into a poisoned slaughterhouse...and if the original Tristain were still here, we'd probably agree that Jimmy would be an issue for everyone.

Ive had fun to a point, but as the GM was railroading in unlikely directions and such...perhaps it is best we leave this as it is.

Sorry about your friend, William. But good to know you're doing better.

If most of you don't feel like continuing the game, I'll call off my search for a new GM.

I can certainly see why CC was frustrated with certain things. And I can also understand his frustration on a couple of points.

My concern at this point is that I feel that the group is on an evil downward spiral, given some of the actions that have been taken, and I have come to the conclusion that William may not want the group to succeed, because it feels like replacing one evil for another.

A lot of my observations feel like arm chair quarterback calls, but there have been some overt and covert actions that to me really bother me. If I enjoyed playing evil or evilish campaigns, I don't suppose I would care, but it is certainly not something that I have come to enjoy in my play. And I feel that without a major course correction at some point, that this group is headed in that direction.
