Creeping down a short tunnel, you enter into a much larger space. On the far side of this shelf, the floor drops away into darkness. The thick, cloying stench of cat hangs in the air. As your light illuminates the area, your gaze falls on another on of this blind monsters, this time garbed in armour, with a thick hide cloak thrown over his shoulders. In one hand he holds an large axe, the other a fist full of leashes attached to three large feline-like animals. At your approach, he shouts a yell and releases the cords.

Fortunate that he was able to dodge the attacks of these strange cat beasts, Pavo smiles as he sees Sverrir come up to his right side. Bringing his feet together, the acrobat executes a daring leap that took him over the krenshar's body. Rotating his body in the air, he lightly lands with teh krenshar between Sverrir and himself. At an advantage, Pavo takes advantage by jabbing out with both of his blades.

With one krenshar remaining, Pavo takes a five foot step to the north and decides to let loose, both weapons darting in at different angles as they attempt to slip into the krenshar's flank.

With a horrible howl of pain the last cat creature tumbles lifeless to the rough cavern floor. Anyone who poke around on the fallen grimlock finds an exquisite geode(300gp)

The area you are in proves to a wide cavern shelf that end in a great pit that drops into darkness. Crude, iron spike have been driven into the cliff face, offering you a convenient path downward. The shaft's roof is fifteen feet above the cliff's edge and jagged stalactites hang from the ceiling to crowd around your head.

Sending his magic lights out to explore the pit, Lucid reveals that the pit is no more than fifty feet deep and 20 feet across. At the bottom, you catch site of another tunnel leading deeper. About halfway up the face of the far wall of the pit, you see another tunnel and a shallow ledge overhangs its entrance.

Amoung the rough stone of the ledge, you make out the shapes of two grimlocks lying in wait.

Aye, lets move on. The gruff man rumbles, kicking the corpse of the Krenshar in distaste. Glancing over the edge of the chasm, Ramos points to the two tunnels. Anyone got a preference?


Basically, you need to climb down the cliff to reach the bottom tunnel. The other is ~25 feet down the far side of the pit, so a 20 foot jump would be needed from halfway done the wall

Markus runs into no issues climbing the 45 feet down to the bottom of the shaft. The scattered rubble of a few broken stalagmites fill the bottom , but other than that, the way appears clear to the tunnel.

Nevermind the order, I've decided just to skip that particular encounter.

With everyone safely at the bottom, you proceed down a narrow tunnel. After a a few dozen feet, it opens up at the base of another shaft. Unlike the last, this bottom of this one is choked with a mound of rumble piled against the far wall, sloping down almost to the tunnel entrance. Above you hangs a rope bridge connect two parts of a tunnel. The top of the rubble pile is only 10ft from the foot of this other passage. Unfortunately, you are not alone in this pit and two vaguely humanoid creatures with long, tentacle like arms turn menacingly towards you.
