Do we have enough in the party fund to purchase the Extend Metamagic Rod that is in the magicitem list this month? I don't want to sell it for BP if we can acquire it.

Who's keeping track of treasure?

Male Human Cavalier/14

I believe Steve was doing that.

Proposed Plan for Turn 33

Claim C10 and the unclaimed half of B9 to start filling in the northern border

Build a farm in E6, which has basically been empty the whole time, and a winery in C9 (so Ettore's family can make a different type of booze)

Because I blew the income roll for last month with a nat 1, we can't build the magic shop this month. it will have to wait. I suggest a house in Shrikeport at B1, and start defending Shrikeport with a city wall across the north border.

I thought we had decided that the army expense was too high each month. The army is CR3, which would be (by the book) 12 bp per month. I thought we had reduced that. You show 6 bp per month. I may have it wrong at reducing it to CR/2 rounded down to 1 bp per month. That would be 60 gp per warrior/mount of a 100 warriors/mounts. Did we decide that we would do half of book expenses? I think my estimate of 1 bp per month may be too low but I also think that 6 bp per month (240 gp per warrior/mount) may be too high. The Player's Guide has mercenaries at 3sp/day or 4.5 gp per month. Now that I think about it paying CR in bp per month (in this case 180 gp equivalent in support and pay for each warrior/mount) would be a reasonable value.

What are the thoughts of the rest of the party?

Male Human Cavalier/14

I agree that the cost is high, but I've been doing it at 6 BP since we built it up. That is basically book value, which would be CR/2 per week, with 4 weeks per month, so monthly is CR x 2.

Proposed Build plans for Calistril 4712

Fist things first - 7 Calistril - Happy Birthday to Oz.

Back to business.
Claim B10, B11, G4. That brings us to size 50, which is an XP bonus.
Road B10, B11, creating a route to Varnhold that does not pass through the mountains or leave our territory.

Build farms in B9 and C10, which will push our consumption back to a negative number.

Build a Magic shop in shrikeport at B6 (adjacent to 2 houses)

Build a house at D1 (student housing for the Academy)

Build the second section of City Wall (East)

Proposed for Turn 37

Officially hand over responsibility for Drelev and its environs to Tavius. Give him a fancy sounding new title, like "Earl" or something.

Set up a separate fund for Drelev, and move 10 BP into it from the Treasury. Tavius can decide if he wants to build something with it, or save up for larger builds. We can continue moving money into the fund, depending on his plans, and how successful our income rolls are.

As for other development:

Build an Office of the City Guard and a Fletcher in Shrikeport, which will fill the district.

Build a city wall in Tatzleford, on the North edge of town, to continue the process of fortifying there.

Male Human Cavalier/14

We'd need to make the office of the city guard at F1, so we can theoretically one day build a jail adjacent to it, even though it would be another district.

Male Human Cavalier/14

You know, I was crunching the numbers, and Ettore and Eriwulf are each a Fine Army of level 12 creatures, which makes them CR4 each.

When you add in that they both have magic arms and armor, and spellcasting, I show Ettore as:

Ettore CR4
CG Fine Army of Human Cleric 12
COMBAT
hp 18; DV 22 (24 ranged); OM +12, Ranged
Special Abilities: Spellcasting: 6th level spells
Resources: Magic Armor, Magic Weapons, Healing Potions, Ranged Attack, Shield
LOGISTICS
Speed 2; Consumption NA – he pays his own way
Leader: Himself (CHA +?)

Place him in Leveton, which has a defense of 28 once the walls are finished, and his effective DV is 50. He can hold the city by himself pretty well.

Eirwulf has lower level spells, so his OM and DV are a bit lower, but he has the mobility advantage special ability from his ability to transform into a dragon, and also the breath weapon special ability, which gives him bonus damage. (and could negate the regeneration of the troll army).

We might not be as screwed as I feared.

Holding the city with 5 PC's might be tough...but we can sure make them pay. Even 1000 men, as they enter and ransack the city we could kill hundreds of them maybe even the entire army given enough time or if we follow them and keep attacking them...given the fact we can dimension door ourselves into the leaders midst and probably kill their general we could probably strike a lot of fear into the common soldiers.

A lot of it at this point would be up to the GM though.

Male Human Cavalier/14

Rules as Written - it would work.

I'm sure that's not quite what the developers intended, but hey - worth a shot to avoid losing the city.

Otherwise, it's on to Plan B.

Contain them at Leveton, build up a retaliatory force, engage in acts of guerrila warfare while the new armies are in training.

Then, when the time is right, take back what is ours.

Then, take the fight to their door and make them pay.

Is buring the enemy's towns and fields consistent with Lawful Neutral?

Male Human Cavalier/14

In terms of leaving the tournament grounds, how many Teleports can we string together without resting? We have a couple of scrolls, right?

I'm figuring that the bulk of the entourage is going to have to head back on horseback, but hoping we can arrange enough teleportation to get the women and children out.

To make room, I'm even thinking of leaving Ajax to walk back with the mounted troops.

The exception to that thought are our spies. I'm thinking about asking them to stay behind and see if they can blend in with the crowd and infiltrate Pitax. We'll need contacts and intel when we are ready to counter attack.

I have also been toying with the idea of reaching out to that Bard from the boasting contest. Her loyalties did not seem to run deep in any direction. I wonder if she'd be open to switching employers. Granted, she seems like she might be evil, but you do what you gotta do.

When a hex is lost, the rulers no longer gain the benefit provided by the hex (and any cities or other buildings inside the hex) nor do you have to pay the upkeep for the hex. A hex may be lost by...

Siege from a monster or an invading army. The sieging monster or army must remain in the borders of the hex for a full month. If the monster or army is not defeated within the month, the kingdom’s Unrest increases by 4. If your kingdom’s Unrest is 5 or higher, the hex the monster or army occupies is lost. (Note: an additional hex may also be lost during Upkeep due to this high Unrest-see above rule).

Reclaiming a lost hex requires that it be claimed like a new hex (see page 6).

So, does that mean that even if the invading army occupies Leveton, so long as we keep unrest below 5, we wouldn't lose the hex and still get to keep the benefits from the City? That seems odd, but I don't see anything in the rules that contradicts it.

Raz,

Question about an armor property from Ultimate Equipment. Would you allow Oz to get the Hosteling property added to his armor?

link from PFSRD

Short version - it stores your animal companion in a magical extra-dimensional space, releasing it on a command word. That would allow Oz to actually have his animal companion with him on a more regular basis. the cost is 7,500 GP.

male keleshite human monk 4

Yes, depending on when you send it off to be worked on. I believe that you did that last session so you are without that armor when the party goes to deal with the whirlpool at Freemarch. Is that what you remember?

That is correct. Until it comes back, I am borrowing the +5 Mithral Breastplate. My AC goes down just a little, but at least I can move at a normal 30 foot rate.
