Ah... Well technically the gnome was also unconscious, no one checked if he was still alive so...you just threw a living person Into the pool -_-
If the gnome wasn't dead before, the crocodile definitely finishes the Job, thrashing and quickly grabbing the unconscious gnome, dragging the body under.
Tasche recognized the rifle as a special Hunting rifle, commonly reffered to as an elephant gun. This particular model is a breach loader like a shotgun, but it takes large Rifle rounds. It's said these things can take an ogre down. From a hundred yards away.
Mechanic wise, it has the same range as a rifle(80ft) but deals 2d8 damage and can fire both rounds simultaneously. Attacking like that works like the feat Manyshot for bows, except that because of kickback the attack has a -4 to it. It takes a full round to reload
The magus is also able to identify the wand pretty easily as a wand if acid splash. Frankly it's useless compared to a good gun, but when your out of ammo...
You hear sound coming from the door below, as someone shouts, to hard for you to make out any words though...
Male Dwarf Vigilante (Vigilante Identity) Level 1 | HP 15/15 | AC 15 Touch 9 FF 13 (+4 vs giants), CMD 17 (+4 vs. bullrush/trip) | F+7 R +2 W -1 | Init +2| Perc +4
lol... oops.
"S&~*E ON A STICK!" grumbles Arratu, annoyed that there are voices coming through the door before he got a proper chance to look into the pool.
Arratu advances to the lower door, standing against the wall with the door to his left, and slightly lowers his head, readying an action to gore the first non-child to come through it.
Male Human Magus (eldritch archer) 1
Barely making any progress on his goon, thanks to his abysmal strength, Tasche gives up dragging it and watched the gnome. "Woah. I really hope that filled 'im up. I do not want to be next on the menu."
He tosses the wand to Veronica. "Acid splash", he calls out, hoping she'll agree with his analysis. "Could be useful as a backup. Probably better sold to cheap street magicians who can only emulate the real thing. Definitely not as powerful as this beauty", he remarks while tapping his new gun.
Thinking about the economics, Tasche decides he has to chime in "Woah there big guy. Give the money to Doctor Evans? With his faith in the establishment, I think that's the worst place for it. We'll decide later, but I too vote to start a charity of some sort."
Noting that Arratu is in trouble, he starts reloading the elephant gun, eager to try his new toy.
Oops. Oh well. At least we didn't know he was alive.
Am I proficient with the rifle?
game master
The rifle is a martial weapon, also please note there are 11 bullets for it, including the one the gnome put in there and didn't fire, oh! It's only a standard action to reload one round, a full round to reload both, forgot to mention if you reload just one ;P
The sounds from the other side of the door stop and it becomes silent... Tension grows.

Crenshaw aims his revolver at the door. "Yeah. Open that and we rain fire."

For the sake of moving forward, let's assume the group is arranged around the door, Urhal and Arratu on the sides, with the ranged folks standing ready to open fire. Maybe under cover, if there are any boxes or crate nearby.
Arratu nods at everyone, and staying to the side of the door, tries to swing it wide open.

Luckily before Arratu decides to open the door, he hears the sound of a click as he listens, sounding something like the trigger on a fuse Arratu has detected a trap on the door, likely recently set up, do you still want to open the door?

Arratu's ears hear a small click, and he motions Urhal to back away as he also backs off.
"Detective... is there a device on this door? I think I almost blew myself halfway to the outer planes."
Male Human Magus (eldritch archer) 1
Tasche narrows his eyes, contemplating the possibilities. Concluding that the lock picking detective may be ever so slightly better than him at identifying the nature of this trap, he decides to stay out of her way. I've annoyed that poor woman plenty today. She doesn't need more problems. He stays back, but lowers his gun a little such that he isn't pointing it at her workspace. "We could go around. Try and flank them. They're expecting us to come through here", he whispers.

"Hah!" Tasche laughs at "gun wizard". "Good one big guy. You are certainly most comedic." Snickering, he shakes his head. "Nope. No spells. Door magic ain't really my thing, although I do know a guy." He glances around, and pauses staring at the entrance way. Eyes gleaming with menace, he whirls around. "No spells. But a good wizard uses the right tool for the right job".
He pockets his revolver and aims the elephant gun at the door. A wickedly amused grin covers his face. He whispers to the room, unable to keep his excitement out of his voice. "Hey Madam Belle. Stand back and watch this"

Veronica easily disables the Tigger, it seems someone had rigged a shotgun to the door, and it would have fired had someone not taken the time to cut the cord holding the door shut.
When she finishes the magus lifts his gun and fires at the door. If in bullet was enough to blow a hole in the door, both was enough to blow it away, the door how has a sizable hole down the middle, easily the size of a man's head. You hear the shouts of children and the vile voice of Gaedren shouting. "Quiet, you come in here I'll blow this child's brains out!" he says, firing a warning shot to make sure you got the picture. You hear the scream of a girl as he says this. "you just tell me what you want, I'll be willing to talk about some middle ground if you're willing to talk before you shoot."

Arratu pauses and considers. That isn't my kid in there. My daughter has been dead for weeks, murdered by that scum. Wonder if I should let the others with more skin in the game talk this out. Still...I've been known to sweet talk a thug or two in my day.
Since I have trained in diplomacy and bluff, I will give this a try. Others please pipe in yourself if you would be helpful.

Arratu shouts back: "WE CAME TO KILL YOU GAEDREN. But we are also interested in a couple of children in particular. You speak of a middle ground... how about this? Send out all of the children you have in there, and we will leave. We will probably try killing you again someday, but we'll declare a truce for twenty-four hours."
Maybe he'll buy that. A lie sprinkled with some truth is the easiest lie to accept, but gods help me, I will not voluntarily leave this building until he is as dead as my daughter.

Gaedren laughs, You think just because I'm old that I'm senile? Your dumber than you sound, that's for sure... Gaedren can be heard moving, and those of you who can see though the hole see movement about 15 feet in, shuffling to the left. How about this then, slide your weapons through that hole you so kindly blew into the door, and I'll walk away from this without sending goons to pin your intestines to your front door when this is over. Otherwise...He fires his gun and another scream can be heard. I'll keep shooting Everyone in here.
"Ok. Let's put it this way." Crenshaw speaks calmly and slowly, tasting every word. "We know you. You've been the cause of many children's disgrace, the ruin of their lives... of my life." He secretly hopes the others will take the chance, given that chance appears. He only needs for the old man to doubt for a second...
"So, if we don't surrender, you'll kill this little one. And? You've killed by the dozens. Do you think you can blame that death on us?" If Gaedren feels intimidated enough, perhaps... "Kill the child. Then tell me, where are you going to hide? Who are you going to use as human shield? You're outnumbered five to one. You've lost, Gaedren. Face it, be a man at least for once in your life."
Hopes here are that he is intimidated enough for the rest to either shoot him without him noticing, or grabbing the child from his claws. I guess he can't watch everyone at the same time.

Urhal creeps to the other side of the door and nods at Arratu, ready to charge in at a moment’s notice.

Tasche drops the elephant gun, concluding that he doesn't have time to reload it. In it's place, he takes up his handy revolver, with a grim look adorning his face. "LAMM", he roars, about to remind the monster who exactly had come to kill him. Then he pauses.
Augusta is in there. Don't let him know that he has power over you. And besides, you don't want him to mention your debt in front of the others. Do not tell him who you are.
He swallows, and concentrates. With a lack of a better plan, he continues the conversation to buy Veronica time. "What goons? If you had goons capable of stringing us up by our intestines, they already would have done so. The only thing you have left is a bunch of scared children." @Veronica I would, but I feel my strength penalty means I have very very little chance of actually helping that way.
Don't forget that we're using the Feat Tax Rules, so Weapon Finesse is a granted feature.

I'm still here and still waiting for the right moment. When I took myself out of the storyline I thought it would only be a couple of days. Sorry about that. Hope the action can pick up a bit.

I'm gonna apologise for any slowness I may have in posting, work is in my heels, but don't worry I won't abandon you all!

Oh right. I am not doing well for knowing my character options thus far. Sorry. I'm going to review my sheet and be more careful.

I feel like although you rolled amazing on your lie, it's extremely unlikely what your tried to lie about.
And this is where things get grey...
I honestly don't know what to have them do, so I just decided to go hostile... Not like it would have changed anything the second you encountered someone else,
Also, please note what information you have that I DIDN'T give out.
I never said the dogs name, so you knowing it sorta throws stuff off...

I definitely understand the grayness and difficulty of attempting bluffing/diplomacy during battle... hardly ever works... so I totally agree with how all that went down. BUT, you totally did say Bloo's name. I mean, the guy didn't know that we heard his yelling through the door, but it was kinda obvious that the dog's name was Bloo so it was a smart move for Veronica to use it.

Yah you said we heard shouting and him say
"Swear you mongrels are more dogs than Bloo!"
Since my character has an 18 intelligence I figured she could put two and two together.
But too late now, we've just had some random guy scream and break onto the scene so stealth is gone anyway.

We really have lost the stealth approach, huh? I just hope we find Lamm before he disappears into the night. Perhaps we should split up. Or perhaps not.
I wouldn't worry Veronica. I expect most of them to run from the screaming monster. I hope. Otherwise we're all gonna be taking a lot of -4's.

Sorry, My work has been on me, so if I go a few days without posting at times it's because work is on my butt, in addition I also used up all my data streaming Netflix when I thought I was on WiFi so my posting is even more limited :P

GM, in response to what you wrote in the gameplay thread.
That was only two blows actually (two hooves), that third damage was the critical hit portion.
Natural attacks are weird and written poorly in the rulebook. I read up on it quite a bit when I was designing Arratu. This is my understanding-- if it is the same attack type- like two hooves- there is no penalty for using both of them at the same time.
If I was using two attack types-- like a gore, followed by two hooves-- then the gore would attack normally and the two hooves would attack at -5 each.
The hooves, because they are they same attack type, are linked and always use the same attack bonus.
It really isn't clear. But I think the best evidence for this is that in stat blocks of monsters, it will always list 2 claws or 2 hooves as having the same attack bonus.
HOWEVER, where I think I messed up, is that hooves are considered "secondary attacks". They do not get full strength bonus, but rather get 1/2 strength bonus each. The means you probably should subtract of 9 from the damage I did that goon (3 for one hoof, 6 for a critical hoof)
A gore, as a primary attack, would get 1.5 times the strength bonus.
Arratu can't gore and 2 hoof yet, since his skinchanging ability only gives one of these things at a time. But in later levels I am hoping to take a feat to have both.
Does all that make sense?
Male Dwarf Vigilante (Vigilante Identity) Level 1 | HP 15/15 | AC 15 Touch 9 FF 13 (+4 vs giants), CMD 17 (+4 vs. bullrush/trip) | F+7 R +2 W -1 | Init +2| Perc +4
I found a couple of more things to help:
this one: http://www.archivesofnethys.com/MonsterDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Kirin
This is a monster that has a gore and 2 hoofs. The hoofs get the same to-hit bonus.
and this: https://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/53539/how-to-read-2-claws-in-a-path finder-monster-stack-block?noredirect=1&lq=1
And this is link talking about how 2 claws get the same to-hit bonus.
Male Dwarf Vigilante (Vigilante Identity) Level 1 | HP 15/15 | AC 15 Touch 9 FF 13 (+4 vs giants), CMD 17 (+4 vs. bullrush/trip) | F+7 R +2 W -1 | Init +2| Perc +4
Ok, reading yet more. This is all very confusing. That is because no monster out there has 2 hooves only as their attack. They always have first the gore attack as a primary, and then the hooves as secondary. I am very strange in having 2 hooves with no gore, and so I don't fit into the rules at all.
To simplfying things, GM, how about this? Until I advance in levels at least, I will stick to goring things only and not do the hooves.
That means a single attack that does 1.5 strength damage. That is totally in the rules. Crystal clear.
If you want you can retcon my first attack to just do 11 damage. That is how much I would have done if I had simply done a gore attack.
game master
Horses have just hooves, and if I remember correctly they still count as secondary weapons... Although I think horses also have a bite attack but I'd have to check to make sure...
Just do what you have been(adjusted damage of course) and I'll roll with it, and for the sake of easy transition I'll still keep the previous damage, it's hard trying to patch things up after the fact.
Also, from now on basic cartridges are separated into three ammo groups: Pistol, Rifle, and shotgun shells.
This keeps folks from using the universal "oh I have a pistol so I'll just stick my ammo from that into my shotgun."

Sebastion, how are you doing +4 damage on your revolver? I am intrigued.
game master
Part of it is that the gun is Masterwork (+1 damage/attack from that), I believe the rest of it is a mix of Judgement, spells, and other boosts.
Black Powder Inquisition gives Gunsmithing. Under "Guns Everywhere" rules, Gunsmithing is turned into Gun Training.
It's actually a rule for Gunslingers, but I'm pretty sure I asked about it applying to other cases of Gunsmithing being received as class feature or similar, and receiving approval. If I'm confused, please let me know.
I forget, would brawlers be proficient with guns using your gun rules DM Waz up?
game master
Yes, one handed guns are simple weapons, two handed martial, and those I specifically specify as Exotic (these include literal hand cannons or early automatic guns.)
Wizards, sorcerer, and monk are the only ones I listed as not proficient with guns.
Although some others arent as well, but none of your classes are Witches, Psychic, or Kineticist.

Oh nice! I was really trying to figure out how you got the dex damage, I was reading about it and couldn't figure it out. I wasn't blaming or anything but figured it was something that I missed. Trying to be a student of the game.
Male Human Magus (eldritch archer) 1
I'm gonna pocket the wand for now, and the big gun if no one else has any objections. We should probably divy up the rest of the weapons based on what we can use and what we'll sell, and create a communal money pool.
Dex to damage would be really nice. It's what's making me really consider a spellslinger wizard dip. I would lose a level of magus casting though, so I'm still not sure.

I think it is a good idea to kinda record who gets what in here, so we can sorta try to keep loot distribution over time even. Not to get things perfectly or anything, but just to have a sense.

Yeah, I agree. Do you mind if I add a value column so we can approximate how much everyone is carrying?

Male Human Magus (eldritch archer) 1
Rules question: I have a ranged weapon bond, which functions as a wizards favoured weapon. At somepoint, it may be appropriate to designate a slightly higher powered gun as the bond. Am I paying 200 gold per level and performing the ritual to designate another one? I think that's what the rules are saying, but it doesn't really talk about just wanting another item.
For reference
