Hey, sorry everybody, fell a bit behind. Monday and Wednesday were busy days, and then Tuesday Paizo was down.... Going to catch up now.

As for the rooms being one for men and one for women, that would be the normal thing to do in polite, civilized society... but Reijo is neither polite nor civil. On the plus side for you and Bellamy, you'd have Vik instead of Reijo in your room (if she's amenable to that at least, lol). :)

Suny is considered a beautiful and strong woman, but with the mind of a child. Friendly because of how much she cares for Lil' Fisher.

Nhati is calm and mysterious, prefers magic, and also has a familiar. Ol' Salty is friendly to her.

Vik is a strong personality with a fair share of chaos. He doesn't know her very well though. Considered indifferent

Bellamy has a respect for the old tales, and is funny and uplifting. Both being older men (although I think Bellamy is younger than his avatar suggests?) he is considered friendly.

As for Reijo's attitude towards the others, he doesn't trust very easily at all. Don't take it personally, for as it's probably apparent by now, he's on the paranoid side. His old mate Bellamy, who he distrusts the least, can attest to that. And he's got anger issues... but let's not reveal too much more than that for now. :)

I should mention (just in case there is any doubt in anyone's mind) that I am 100% not personally invested in Reijo, and only pull the sort of nonsense he pulls for laughs. If one of the ladies ever punched him in the face and kneed him you know where for his aggressive antics, I would personally take zero offense... and in fact would probably laugh about it and say he deserved it, lol. :)

@Suny - it's definitely an animal!

@Helio - Are you technically treating the drake as of type Animal? Or as of type Dragon (as per the RAW)? Knowing this might change my strategy, thanks. :)

Nope, it's still a very dragony dragon of the dragonclan. I only mean it is an animal in the sense that it is neither vegetable nor mineral.

You know when draconic vegetables show up, it's time to start running.

I'm pretty sure there's a monster template for that in a third party product... :)

I'm going to be away at PaizoCon from tomorrow early (Thursday May 21) through next Tuesday (May 26). I will almost certainly not be able to post during that time.

(If anybody else is at PaizoCon, look me up and say "hi". I'm Rob Knop. Will be a Tier 1 GM, so I'll be in the PFS room a whole lot. I'm also running The Wardstone Patrol at 2PM on Thursday, and there are still some open seats, if anybody is going to be there a day early.)

Okay... I'm divided.

People's assessments of the drakes are quite probably spot on. They've evil skinks and pretty much deserve to be turned into handbags etc.

However, and I apologize if I'm being too corny, but Suny's heard Nhati and Vikktora agree to the drakes being given their freedom.

So... on the one hand I feel Suny would stop Reijo... or at least attempt to hold his arm from doing the deed... On the other hand I completely understand Reijo's actions.

Truth be told.. I (Suny) was more of the inclination to be taking the drakes back to the town and having them 'broken in' or other wise 'civilized'.

I'm not trying to play Suny as an air head. More as a 'primitive' type. Also, her outlook is neutral good. The drakes have been rendered helpless. We've established they're intelligent. As for thier outlook? We've no real way of discerning their alignment (Metagaming and all) so... Killing a helpless prisoner? That's... not.. good...

Yes, I do completely understand "Pirates" campaign. I really do. But.. there's a difference between something like a Sauhaugin and a drake.. Well.. other than the scales... :P

It's partly one of those 'how ingrained is evil' discussions, methinks. Sure, the average river drake is neutral evil, but what exactly does that mean? How evil is evil? What defines a drake's evil versus a human's evil? Is slavery (or capture, or whatever) any less evil than what they're doing? If you were caught sailing around on a pirate ship by a Chelaxian admiral, would he show you 'evil doers' any mercy? Would he be evil for his actions?

One of the reasons I like Golarion's Kaer Maga is because it has several standard 'grr evil' races walking around and playing at civilization with a bunch of other oddball fellows. So it's entirely possible that Suny could well be riding around on a drake one day. It's also entirely possible they'll take the opportunity to lick their wounds and eat you another day. I obviously don't want to sway you guys either way...

(On a related note, Reijo wins the true-blooded pirate award. Negotiate the terms of their surrender and then slaughter them!)

Well.. in my home games there's the difference between something being 'Innately' evil such as Devils, Demons et-al and then there are creature's who's nature/inclinations are evil (As considered by Humans).

The first can have their alignment/outlook shifted or changed but their very nature/essence means that they revert back to their evil-ness over time.

A creature on the other hand, is subject as much to nurture as well as nature. Of course shifting something's nature when it's been flying around eating people it's whole life? Yah.. Suny is having enough trouble learning to communicate. How much harder must it be to learn to not eat other people? :P

Oh, right. Outsiders exist.

But even for their innate alignment status, you've still got examples of special (if extraordinarily rare) cases breaking from the norm. Fallen angels and redeemed demons and all that. Of course, who's to really say what's evil when people are just so darn delicious?

Reijo's a dangerously cunning man. But he's a man of action. Sometimes rash action. He doesn't give a rat's buttocks about whether the drakes are redeemable or not. He just knows that if people are untrustworthy (feel free to read his background... it's a sad story), then all the more reason to distrust drakes. "Kill or be killed" is Reijo's motto. Also his motto, "trust noone." Plus, they were paid (well, sorta...) to make the problem go away... and that's all he needs to know. The only reason he hesitated this long is for the sake of the party... but he's not interested in really hearing others out! He was just waiting for them to come around to his way of seeing things. And now that it became evident they were not all seeing things his way...

*Nods* Okay.. mental bull in a china shop. Got it. (~_^)

So... Suny is a live for today... still thinking about the next decade kind of Elf. I am hoping the 'strangeness' of what I think of as an Elf is coming across? At least I hope there are some aspects of Suny that are coming across strangely. :P

As for the redeeming of evil/good outsiders? Yah.. kind of a whole different kettle of broth in a way.

No-Eyes can use 'Animate Rope' to help get it up.

Ah, okay. So she and Reijo are around the same age and perhaps similar sailing/piracy experience. I took liberties earlier in assuming he was more so.

My plan is to sleep overnight, and get back to Hartha's at the crack of dawn.

As for the drakes... did we slay one of them? As I recall, we captured two and the third fled.

Suny wants to see more of the town before she finds some where to sleep. Hopefully finding some one to sleep with while exploring the town. (^_^)

No worries about the delay. I am waiting to see the results of Bellamy's spell before posting, as it would alter my actions. I believe color spray is a 15 ft. arc, though, not a single target, so he might possibly get them both.

I think one was blocking front and one was blocking behind, so I went back to deal with the one behind us.
