Bupkis |

Bupkis moved over and tried to revive one of the still-living people, using his kinetic powers.
Kinetic Healer (Bupkis): 4d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 3, 4, 2) + 12 = 26
Bupkis will accpt the burn. If this works, he'll revive the other one.

Daseem |

Daseem fetched a waterskin and helped them drink a little, but not too much lest they are unable to take it. He didn't say anything but he watched closely to see if they had other needs or if there was any lurking surprises in the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30

Bupkis |

Bupkis unlocks the cages and shares his food and water with the prisoners. He says, "Me Bupkis. How long you been held here?"
Disable Device: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (10) + 19 = 29

Bupkis |

Bupkis brings some his rations over to the other prisoner, and feeds some to him. "Where is you home?", he asks. He wonders how the party can look after these guys and keep them safe.

Daseem |

As the prisoners eat and drink, Daseem asks, "W-what happened? How did you get c-captured?"
He then looks for a key and if he can't find one he asks, "Have you seen a k-key?"
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22
I'm assuming the cages need a key, if they don't and there's some obvious way of letting them out he will.

Daseem |

Daseem frowns, they'd fought stone giants before but he got the feeling there was another. "Eh what s-stone giant?" he asked as he loosened his sword in its scabbard.

DM Fang Dragon |

Zendara is on holiday. Yukarii and preparation before you all go and kick the ants nest, I mean go exploring?

Ivan "The Mountain" Ironbrow |

Ivan looks like he was about to ask what the lassie was talking about, then he seems to understand.
Aye lass, I possible could.
He walks up, takes the hammer in both hands and smashes the lock until it graciously opens for the kind folks.

Daseem |

"You think he might come b-back?", asked Daseem eagerly. His sword was unsheathed and he practiced an energetic looking kata before adding, "I hope he d-does, Gorum willing!"
He didn't answer their question because his head was too full of dreams of giant slaying!

Amira Ravenheart__ |

"I seriously doubt that. There are very little giants left in this cathedral. If there are no secret wings we missed, then there is only left what lies still above and who might have wandered back in from the valley."
"And I think we confirmed, that the chief stone giant made his final mistake to disturb Ivan's sleep."

Daseem |

Daseem deflated when Amira suggested there were no giants and then he heard a magic word Dragon. All at once he perked up and exclaimed, "Ooooh! Glory b-beckons!"
We're probably doomed!

Daseem |

Daseem noted with wide eyed innocence, "If we kill the d-dragon then oops they can't do that!"

Daseem |

Daseem was really getting into the idea of slaying a Dragon, but there was the question of what type of dragon they'd be facing...
He asked a villager, "Eh did ye hear what c-color the Dragon was?"

Ivan "The Mountain" Ironbrow |

Ivan still seemed hesitant to outright destroy the forge.
If destroying the forge is indeed our goal... or keepin' it cold everymore. I'm still thinkin' it could be used fer good, jus' as this hammer has been. No better revenge than usin' that forge ta' prove the superior craftsmanship O' a dwarf. If'n we killed them other two giants, we could likely keep anyone from knowin' bout it as well.

Amira Ravenheart__ |

"Killing one dragon wouldn't prevent anything. It would just be not that easy to find one. That horn the old spinster talked about was to call a dragon from the mountains."
"I agree with Ivan. It would be a delight to see this mythical forge at work. I can't tell if that would be a shot int he foot though. Clearly the giants here are too stupid to get it running on their own."
"On the other hand, no giant clever enough has cared to try it, so maybe it is overrated."

Bupkis |

Bupkis tells his companions, "Can shoot cold at dragon. Or crossbow bolts if cold no good."
Against a dragon, Bupkis' preference is to shoot a cold blast (touch AC).

Daseem |

Daseem nodded at Bupkis but he had a niggling worry, could they really take on a dragon just like that? Tentatively he pointed out, "Dragons all have a b-breath weapon. If we knew which type I could asks Gorum for p-protection..."

Amira Ravenheart__ |

As no one objects, despite how that went last time...
Amira, freshly rested uses some magic to make sure she is not caught again. A guesture and a word, and she is gone from sight.
A minute later Daseem hears a voice to the left and below of him. "It is red."

Menrozzar Vyrlock |

Knowledge (arcana) on red dragons: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Menrozzar says, "When I take on draconic features, I grow reddish scales and such. Interesting. How big a dragon?"

Daseem |

GM would you say it's common knowledge red dragons breathe fire? Or do we need a knowledge roll?

Daseem |

Daseem was keen to slay the dragon but some shred of self preservation made him realise they were ill-prepared. A little sheepishly he told the others, "Mebbe we should uh r-rest so I can ask Gorum for protection from f-fire..."
So apparently rests are like busses for us, nothing for ages then two come along at once.

Daseem |

Yes I know this, I did not expect to fight a dragon! Also 2/3 of my 3rd level spell slots where wasted trying to remove a disease :P

Ivan "The Mountain" Ironbrow |

curse you fleasss!!!!!!! Its like an infestation of bed bugs. We gotta bring in the heavy artillery.
Well, Much as I am hesitant to say it, killing a red dragon may well be better than killin' some giants. What with what the tales an' legends say O' the beasts.... I can give meself a minor defense against fire, it isn't nary near what ye godly folk can call upon, but I suppose its better than nothin', sadly, its only fer me.
I can use martial flexibility to grab up resistance item mastery to give myself fire resist 5 for 24 hours.
That said, I don't think a young dragon is cause to take another entire day. Especially since we 'ave the drop on it. We can use our magics ta' empower ourselves and it should work out alright in the end. Amira, did ye see whether or not the roof was intact in the room?

Daseem |

Daseem gave Amira a particularly sour look, "W-what?" The idea of fleeing stank of dishonour. Gorum would not approve.

Bupkis |

Bupkis considers the situation. He doesn't know enough about dragons to judge how difficult it might be to take on a young dragon. But clearly they were going to have trouble keeping the freed prisoners safe if they didn't finish clearing out the cathedral. "Bupkis can attack now, if others ready!"

Menrozzar Vyrlock |

Menrozzar nods. "I agree - now is the time to strike against it. I seem to have developed some kind of mild resistance to flame, so that should help. Perhaps I can grab it and keep it from fleeing if it comes to that. We'll see - I'm not a particularly skilled grappler."
Is this a "go up the stairs, start the fight" kind of thing, or is this a "go up the stairs, open a door, then start the fight" kind of thing? I want to cast some pre-buffs.
EDIT: Per the GM's suggestion, Menrozzar will cast ironskin and shield on himself to up his AC to 28. Do you guys think I should do an enlarge person or chill touch for another pre-buff?

Daseem |

Seeing that the others wanted to fight straight away Daseem grinned at them and asked Gorum for his blessing for the coming fight!
Casting Defending bone, Iron Skin and Shield of faith which seem to stack giving 8 extra AC, moving Daseem up to a respectable AC 27. Also casting Weapon of Awe.

Foxy Quickpaw |

Cold mountain winds howl wickedly through the shattered stonework of this chamber. Almost half of the tower’s floor and outer wall has crumbled away, exposing the inner chambers to vertiginous heights and the battering elements. This spire is about 600 feet above the ground and falling off the tower could easily lead to a sudden death.
The dragon stands in the middle of it stretching it's wings.
Init Menrozzar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Init Daseem: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Init Bupkis: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Init Amira: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Dragon: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Bupkis, Daseem <--
Dragon
Amira, Menrozzar, Ivan

Daseem |

As Daseem climbed up towards the lair he was sure he heard sounds of an angelic choir and the higher he went the louder they became. And so it was the moment he saw the Dragon, he uttered a bloodcurdling cry of "GORRRUMM!" as he recklessly charged into battle and perhaps glory...
Using 1 fervor to cast Divine Favour (works out as +3 with fate's favoured trait). Buffs: Divine Favour, Haste, Defending bone, iron skin, shield of faith, weapon of awe. AC = 26 this round.
CHARGE! Power attack, vital strike, furious focus: 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 17 + 2 + 1 = 34Damage: 4d6 + 20 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 2) + 20 = 25

Bupkis |

Bupkis runs to the cover of the broken ruins of the interior wall near the center of the tower. We spread out so can't get us all with dragon breath!", he urges his companions. Then he shoots a blast of icy cold at the heat-loving dragon.
Cold Blast (touch), PBS, Haste: 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 14 + 1 + 1 = 29
Cold Damage, PBS: 4d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 3) + 6 + 1 = 21 4d6 + 1/2 con (2) + Elemental Overflow (4).

Ivan "The Mountain" Ironbrow |

buffs- fly, resist fire 5, bane(dragon). not necessarily in that order. martial flexibility to enter with energy mastery. 4uses of martial flexibility gone for the day. :D. with flight and haste I have a 70ft fly speed. If Ivan could reach him with a double move, he would do that instead of the spell. He would also top off his HP if he could before heading up.
CLWand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
the dragon sees a very angry, very armored dwarf flying towards it. The armored man lifts his hammer towards and a bolt of lightning erupts from the head of the hammer.
lightningbolt: 8d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 3, 3, 5, 5, 5) = 30 Reflex save DC 17 for half.
Oh whats this? A mighty dragon runnin' away? I thought red wyrms were meant ta' be fierce! The Blue ones put up a lot more O' a fight.

Menrozzar Vyrlock |

Should've specified I was casting enlarge person as a pre-buff. Doing it now.
Menrozzar begins casting a spell.
Casting enlarge person, which has 1 round cast time.
