Lershoth Sholme |

Lershoth obviously headed back once ready.
"Fair point, perhaps only a few should go out. I myself am ready.
Lershoth will follow after Polmar. Keeping an eye out for any trouble. Taking 10 on perception for a 21

Rose moves towards Lershoth handing him back the infusions from the other day. [b]As usual he refuses to acknowledge me. so I'll wish you good luck instead. Watch over yourself. Try not die for him. Our people will need your knowledge.

Tall Tale Teller |

Polmar trudges up to the dragon ,determination on his face. He doesn't pay much attention to who has decided to come with him.
We are here, show us to this chore
The dragon looks down at Polmar, it then says, "I see. At the ocean shore I have placed a sailing vessel, It should be comfortable enough to hold a few of you. " All pcs can hear the dragon The dragon chuckles deeply." Such a small creature that carries a big attitude. I wonder what will become of you?" With that the dragon flaps its mighty wings and heads back towards the mountains.

Polmar Finn |

Polmar is shaking with anger after this curt display Everybody thinks they're so damn important...I hate being treated like an invader in our own homeland you know Lershoth? And I hate that we feel the need to act so damn hesitantly towards what is ours. This land, it's our birthright, we need to start acting like it.
He begins to walk slowly, resenting that he now acts at the behest of another for a fire that he doesn't truly see as his fault Well let's get going, that ship won't sail itself

Well at least that thing is gone... I wonder what on earth this 'quest' is all about.
Sitting up cautiously Siobhan raises a hand in greeting towards the cat-folk on the hill above.

Rose looks to the group of guards form up near the cave mouth and prepare for trouble. She gathers her rogues and moves quickly into the tunnel wanting to get the guards to go back and form up with their fellows while hoping to move forward to investigate quietly.

Tall Tale Teller |

The man looks half crazed but happy. A glowing white orb is within his arms, as if he is holding a precious baby. on the ground at Sam's feet, lies a blonde haired man, dead. His head is bashed in as a bloody hammer lay nearby.
Sam is muttering to himself, "Now she can return. She will finally come back to me."

Lershoth Sholme |

@Rose (From Earlier)
Lershoth nods in thanks. "I'll do my best, doesn't me much good to die when we've only recently begun to explore."

I suppose it depends on your perspective, I'm sure the creatures in the caves were none to thrilled with our presence back then. Though, admittedly, I don't fully understand what you mean? Are you saying we should be more aggressive in claiming territory? As it is, I'm all for letting the Dragon have whatever it wants. Doing otherwise seems... unwise.
Lershoth looks visibly distressed over the boat. A boat? Water? I've never sailed nor swam in my life... Grumbling to himself, his tail twitching, he does what little he can to assist with manning the ship. At some point, we will take the time to make an extract of 'Monkey Fish' using my last 1st level slot.

Jalel "Quip" Medin |

"I admit, this has never been something I knew much about. But it should suffice to be a mark for interesting experiences. Just... don't let me fall in. I don't actually have any experience with swimming."

Calm down, calm down. Who will come back to you?

And, how will she come back to you?

![]() |

what do you have to do with that to get her back? *

Tall Tale Teller |

Sam, drops to his knees. "It spoke to me. It said I could have one person I chose revived for the life of another... At first I said no. But I became so lonely. So weary. I need her. I need her to survive." Sam begins sobbing uncontrollably.
One of the guards looks to Rose. "What would you have us do with him, dutchess?"

Karliah the Scarlet Sentinel. |

These last few days had been both stressful and wonderful for Karliah. The investigator was relived to finally be out of the darkness... to be in this wonderful, wide world... but... well. Karliah was used to the darkness, used to having something over head. So when she first stepped outside of the underground bunker and into the light... it was frightening. For the world to open up around her, going on endless without an end... how did people live like this?!
But... Karliah was older than fifteen years, and whilst it was faint... Karliah could remember the time before her live underground. Of the wide open sky, of the bright warm sun... and the fear passed after an hour or so, allowing Karliah to take a deep breath and walk down away from her home for the majority of her life. It was time for her to explore... and spread the word of the Scarlet Sentinel’s Return to the world.
Thanks to her training in survival arts, Karliah was able to live of the land rather effectively, not wanting to use the food of her trail rations unless she needed to, knowing that the rations would keep for months without needing to be eaten, if not longer due to magical preservants. She was a little worried that the purple tinge to the water and plants would mean that they contained the poison, so she always boil everything, water and food alike before eating it, seeking to remove any poison.
Eventually though, things changed... Karliah came across a forested area that seemed to have been burned to the ground. Searching though it, the investigator was only able to find a necklace to slip into her haversack... and then she spotted the first signs of life, and it was not a human.
“Hello? What’s your name?” Karliah asked friendly, but cautiously. She didn’t know if this being was friend or foe, hence why Karliah didn’t approach, but didn’t lower a hand to her sword or grab one of her few prepared extracts. Instead, she studied the pale, frail looking humanoid in front of her, trying to figure out what she was.

"Yes, well, if any of us fall in it's unlikely to be a long expedition. So let's not do that."

Rose looks at the guards and motions them to stay in position as she moves towards Sam. Here, give it to me. As your Duchess I would be honored to bring your lady back to you. Bluff: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Nephele Araceli |

Nephele frowns as she notices the strange female with a gold necklace. Nephele immediatly puts herself on guard, not recognising the stranger, but withholds her magic, there was so much about this forest that she and her friends did not yet know.
"I'm Nephele...what might be your name stranger, and what brings you to this part of the forest?"

![]() |

Damn...
Siobhan leaps up and takes off at a sprint towards the source of this evil feeling, yelling up towards the cat man as she does so.
"I'm a friend, sent here to meet the new duchess. Talk later."
As she runs Siobhan draws her scimitar and focuses on her breathing, almost unconsciously her steps become lighter and more graceful until she is practically skimming the ground with each step.

Polmar Finn |

Polmar actually begins tearing up. I'm sorry guys...I've put a good face on things but the truth is it's been hard. I just, I want us to thrive you know. And I want to have room to roam and be free and succeed. I know I just told Lershoth that I want us to claim our birthright but I just don't want to be under anyone's thumb. I know I don't have any plans or any reasonable ways to deal with the dragon or the other dangers but I just feel like you gotta believe it will work out. Whether its the fog or that dragon or the orcs or even Rose if she feels like she regulate my behavior on such a small scale. But....maybe the dragon isn't sooo bad if he is gifting us a boat like this.
He recomposes himself and finds his way to the rigging How hard could it be?

Karliah the Scarlet Sentinel. |

The shift in pose when the sylph spotted her and talked to her was noticed by Karliah and made her feel a little uneasy. Before she could respond however, a wave of what she could only describe as pure vile wickedness swept over the area. Instinctively Karliah drew her rapir, but noted the aura wasn’t coming from the sylph herself. “Karliah, talk later. Best we go and investigate what the hell that was!” Without waiting for a reply Karliah began to advance, itching to run but not want to be aggressive to Nephele

Rose cursed under her breath as she ran forward. Get back to the cave entrance. Nothing leaves this hallway without my express say so. If it tries, it dies!

Tall Tale Teller |

Karliah headed at a brisk pace. She passed the sylph and to the edge of the forest, to a large clearing, from where she could see the ruins of a large city. She saw a cat man headed into the ruins as well as a young woman. She lost the pair of them as they were quick and a fair ways ahead of her. Perception roll, Karliah please.

Tall Tale Teller |

Polmar and his small crew felt a large thud that shook them roughly. they could hear scrapping on the port side of the vessel. Then things were calm again. Looking back, they saw a fairly large rock sticking out of the water. There was now a large scrape on the side of the ship but no serious damage.

Tall Tale Teller |

The guards Rose commanded replied in unison, "Ma'am! Then got in defensive stances, and waited. Rose ran ahead. After a short time the only sound she could hear was her own breathing and foot steps. She then Could feel the wickedness growing before her, she was close. She then saw a dim glow ahead. then it went dark. Perception roll, Rose, please.
