Rose's ears perk at the noise. "I've no more time for you. If you truly wish to help keep what you know to yourself." Rose walks off to the stage. "Apologies now let's choose our jury so the rest of you can get back to your day. Please choose the five people who shall hear the case by vote."
Talirin
Talirin nods to the crowd acknowledging their trust and moves to the side to let the process begin.
Inside he believes we are wasting our time on the murdering scum and this shows we are indecisive. ..but he is willing to see it play out if Rose sees value in it.
Karliah the Scarlet Sentinel.
“No, just an example.” Karliah said, shaking her head when Rose question whenever or not she was threatening her... and it made Karliah even more sure that Rose was not worthy of being a leader. That she was not a woman she was interested in to rebuild this world. Whilst she did follow in order to see the trail, Karliah made a note to herself to seek out this ‘Siobhan Beldam, sister of Rico Beldam’. Perhaps her group would better benefit from her service and skills...

I apologize but this trial will be held in private. The representatives you chose will decide his guilt or innocence while I will decide his fate should he be deemed guilty. Rose directs the guards to help her bring Sam and the body and whatever people have evidence along to the room used during the council meeting.
Jalel "Quip" Medin
Realization dawns on Jalel when the men surrounding them pull out their weapons. My words had no effect?!
This was not a fight they were likely to survive if it came to blows. He knew the cloak he had acquired would allow him to vanish, should he desire. But these men knew nothing of that yet. As long as neither of those two say anything, that is.
He let out a small breath and let Polmar take the lead. "Yes, take us to your leader." he said almost meekly. Still shocked by the revelation of his words.
Karliah the Scarlet Sentinel.
When Rose announced that the trail was going to be held private, Karliah scowled, briefly. It was just like that female... for all her talk about honour, and saying that Karliah had no right to question it. She was certainly fine going around giving her reasons to question it. Shaking her head in disgust, Karliah looked around, hoping to see where Siobhan was.
Lershoth Sholme
Bah, figures we make it out of the cave with the rat only to run into these louts. Not much to be done at the moment, perhaps if the opportunity presents itself to run but that seems unlikely.
Lershoth's tail twitches in annoyance but otherwise he does his best to smile (if only grimly) at his captors and follows their lead.

Considering the Feudal system of law, the fact that your request was granted for others to judge the accused should be a significant gesture...not sure where you are getting your idea of a modern court system from.
Siobhan Sable
|
Siobhan steps out of the shadows when Karliah starts looking around. "That may not be what you wanted but it suits the will of her people. They wanted a trial - and their duchess has given it to them."
Siobhan looks around and speaks more softly. "I'm worried about this though. There seems to be something wrong here - this orb... it seems wrong somehow. I need to talk to my brother, urgently."
